As a hardcore Office fan, who has seen the whole series over 9 times now...maybe more than 10 idk. The show is definitely NOT the same after season 7 when Michael leaves. Michael was one of the characters who made the show what it was, his absence was very much noticeable and obvious in seasons 8-9 because we didnt have that Michael Scott humor that was so hilarious and such a big part of The Office anymore. I still enjoy the last two seasons but not as much as I enjoyed them with Michael in them.
the last 2 seasons are not funny because everyone is so close, very buddy- buddy like all that awkwardness is just gone... will ferrels character actually was the only thing that replicated that humor once steve left
If you think Michael Scott was the only lead character. I know there is nothing that could have replaced his character, but there was jim,pam and dwight who still ran the show for them in season 8,9. And characters like Robert California (Lizard king) lit up the show. Even steve didn’t wanted the show to end after he left. Last 3 episodes of the season 9 paid its respect to the show and gave it a well deserved farewell
The EXACT point of the show in season 8,9 as it was not even possible to have the same fun as before. If you remember the show had a pretty tough situation with finding the manager who could replace Michael, and there was a time when they were without andy for 3 months and the sales were still great. I’m not saying that they are the best season, but the story shifted more on the character side with the focus on every cast member. It just got different what we were used to before. No one can possibly think of replacing the Michael Scott character, they just had to live with it and carry the show to end on a good note.
Laura Watkins seems quite easy. What would difficult is to hate one men and love one men while they are the same person. But not impossible. I love Angela yet I hate Angela. (Actor; character)
James Hanscombe if only Spader start the office 2 season earlier. I love Robert Character, it was almost precisly the opposite Michael character. But overall, michael character almost a magic to me. He can be dumb af but in the other time he can make other people more dumb than he is, without making him look smarter.
Will Ferrell was the worst option ever for the show. I like Will’s work In his other movies and appearances, but so many people (myself included) HATED when he was on the show when the episodes first aired forever ago. And still re watching them. The scene where everyone sings to Steve (since it was a surprise for Steve and not in the script for him) and will completely ruined it so badly. If you look at BJ’s face during that scene when Will tries to Ad-lib, BJ looks so frustrated since he always helped write the show and it was supposed to be a special “surprise” for Steve but then will didn’t get the hint and just started singing nonsense. And then the other two episodes he was in also he was so rude and so annoying. And as we all know, there’s a lot of improv in the show. Will completely ruined his character. And it was two of the most important episodes (when Michael does the last dundies and when he leaves). After seeing will improv and ruin the surprise song for Steve in the dundies episode, I will never have as much respect for him ever again lol. Like I said, if you look st BJ’s face during it you can tell how pissed he is, and Steve completely ignores will cause he’s so emotional about his friends surprising him. End rant lol.
A decade later and still resonating.. I mean even family guy did a spoof of Netflix message "are you still watching?...option: no because it's not a Michael Scott episode" lmao
Angela your character is cold and bitter but you as a person I wish I had a mom like you because you're so sweet and loving towards the people you care about. thank you for this and I hope to meet you someday and thank you in person. thank you Steve as well you're the best friend I always wanted :)
Thanks, Angela this is what every office fan needed to hear the testimony of Steve Carell on his farewell. I just shed tears for the entire time when I watched "Goodbye Micheal" and seeing this brings the same effect. The Office(especially with Micheal Scott) hits those chords in your heart that no other tv show on the planet will ever do so, you cry and laugh both at the same time. it's just a remarkable thing the writers and creators did.
Larry Lee Moniz I agreed midway through the show, then when I saw the last episode, I sorta changed my mind... I think they should've cut down the series a bit.. like not go as long as they did without Michael Scott
Saumya Bhadani Season 8 was fine. What they should've done is take Season 9's last few episodes or so, replace Nellie's takeover with Dwight taking over, there's a flonkerton esque competition for who's manager between Dwight and Andy. Dwight wins and Andy becomes a salesman. Last few episodes fall suit with the promos, dwangela, and Jim becoming the AARM. The documentary airs with everyone where they should be, no one is happy. Toby didnt turn wimpy over the Scranton Strangler case. Erin and Andy stay together and Jim and Pam's marriage isn't at stake due to Philly. I feel like this way the show ends great.
after Steve left it took a long time for me to watch the episodes without him... every episode I'm hoping he pops up or atleast mentioned, I still haven't even finished the last season lol just wish they could make it all happen again... like Michael wins the lottery and starts his own paper company! calls everyone to work for him even Toby... idk
YaUncleDrew215 Six years later, and I'm finally ready to watch the end of season seven and then the final two seasons. I had to start all over again though which has been so much fun!!! Season five is my favorite.
How do you know when an actor & actress has done their job...? When they leave or the show ends that ball in your throat swells up and tears start to fall:( I miss this show the characters were amazing but when Steve left, oy it was tuff to keep watching. I think the other actors were awesome after that BUT it was never the same show without him. Favorite character - Totally Dewight but Jim's pranks and stuff made both characters one in the same.
He is so sweet! Working with him must have been so much fun. All of The Office cast members seem like such down to earth people and that's what makes the show even better because you don't see a lot of that with celebrities. The Office will always be my favorite show. It's not the same without Steve in those last two seasons but it's still funny and great.
Andrei Minhos IKR! She was always the most beautiful woman on the show but her character was, well, ick. Now I find she is such a nice person I absolutely love her!
I love this ,thank you for this clip....made my heart warm i cried manly tears when he left the show, i just seen all the seasons it took me 2 months on the finale was dissappointed steve couldnt appear on more scenes, the finale was a dissapointment but felt warm and glad i got to see the show and become a fan of it, thanks to the whole cast
So I'm watching the office on Netflix now because my Sister really liked it and I wanted to try it and I love it! You are all a very talented group of people and I was very sad after I watched Steve leave the show because I felt like I just lost a friend. To me Michael Scott was the guy that I would come home and see him and I would just brace myself for a lot of laughter and throw all the logic I have come to know out the window! To wrap this up I think every single person on the office has truely touched my heart . Angella I think you are very funny and you and Dwight are tied with Jim as best couple of all time!!!!!!
Still today on Nov 07, 2019 while watching this, I was feeling the anxiety in a form of pain in my belly. I wish I could kiss Steve Carell goodbye with tears in my eyes.
I've only watched The Office all the way through twice so far (I know, I'm a rookie huh?). But that's only because when I watch that last episode, it doesn't feel right to restart it right then. I'm going to try to explain this with an analogy because I don't know how else I can put how it makes me feel: When I hear The Office's theme song, or see the intro video start to play, I suddenly calm down and feel warm, and happy. It feels like home to me. So when I finish the series, everything it's wrapped up. And I'm sad to leave but it feels right. So to go back and rewatch it just then would be like if your whole family was waiting in the car outside, ready to leave together. But you forgot something inside so you go back by yourself. And it's home but it feels empty. It just doesn't feel the same. So you decide you can just leave. And after a few months, when I come back to the show, it's like coming home, the right way. And you settle back in to this familiar place and you can feel that you're ready again. And you never want that cycle to end. Am I making any sense at all? Maybe not. Point is, I love this show and I can't thank enough the people who made it happen. And love to all you fellow fans. You're all troopers.
My favorite musical moment was when Michael Scott sang, "Goodbye Toby!" I thought for sure he'd say that one, but then I realized that Steve doesn't hate Paul the way Michael hates Toby. But that song is epic!
Just watched the office for the first time, I watched up until Michael left and then the final 4 episodes of season 9 as I really couldn’t picture the show without him
Jack Spedicy 2 Yea that's what I heard, but there's rumors that they are trying to convince steve to come back, hopefully he comes back if the show comes back.
That would be a big mistake. It ended perfectly so bringing it back would only ruin it. In the words of Steve Carrel, " People only think they want it to return, but they really don't because they would only end up disappointed."
Omg, thats so cute! Ive Being rewatching The Office for the second/third time and i really Love The 9,980,000 scene. Also, i Love The fact that SC remembered The scene of Dwights and Andys playing guitar!
I don't think it was regret, just bittersweet. It's natural to feel a little sad and briefly regretful when you make a big change, but he was pursuing bigger things and more personal focus.
The office ended in 7th season. I saw steve carell first in the movie bruce almighty and i found him hilarious and saw few other movies he was in. Fast forward to 2019 and I finished The office and it really hit me how important steve's character was to the series. After 7th season it went a little south but Rainn did everything to keep it going. As his character departed i teared up a little. But i think we are all thankful that he pursued his dream and we keep seeing him in movies nowadays.
He is such a sweetheart. I love him dearly. This is such a beloved show with beloved characters and beloved human beings playing the characters. The Office is such a special show and I’m so happy that I can watch it literally any time I want. I can zap my depression in a minute when Kevin spills his chili or when Michael drives into the lake, or when Dwight helps Toby move the vending machine and then takes a call, walking away leaving Toby trying to keep the vending machine from falling on top of himself, or when Dwight saves Michael from eating poisonous mushrooms, or when my all time favorite couple Jim and Pam get married, OR when my all time second favorite couple Michael and Holly (Damn you Holly for taking Michael away! Move your parents to Scranton! 🤷🏻♀️ jk) got engaged. ❤️
I am so grateful that Angela did this
True ❤❤❤❤
This is important. A very important comment
The show wasn't the same without Steve but was still great. One of the best tv series of all time!
thats what she said!!
ninja hattori dosent make sense but nice reference
the sex wasn't the same without steve(dick's name) but was still great.
I agree!
No, It wasn't great after Steve left, last two seasons are pretty bad un my opinion
As a hardcore Office fan, who has seen the whole series over 9 times now...maybe more than 10 idk. The show is definitely NOT the same after season 7 when Michael leaves. totally agree, I just finished it and I definitely missed the humor that Michael brought to the office.
the last 2 seasons are not funny because everyone is so close, very buddy- buddy like all that awkwardness is just gone... will ferrels character actually was the only thing that replicated that humor once steve left
I think they just didn’t knew what to do after steve left. But, at the end season 9 last 10 episode was well written and well casted.
Steve just seems like such a nice guy I love him
that ending was the cutest
I wonder how Michael would’ve reacted to Oscar and the senators affair in season 9 that would’ve been really funny
How is it possible to love two men who are the same person?
Laura Watkins seems quite easy. What would difficult is to hate one men and love one men while they are the same person. But not impossible. I love Angela yet I hate Angela. (Actor; character)
Laura Watkins I read a book about that once. Nothing as deep as you'd think but it was a great book.
This is the cutest video I've ever seen.
Angela is so sweet as well as Steve 💛
The firepower they had to bring in to replace Steve Carell. Will Ferrell and James Spader. What a testimony to his ability.
James Hanscombe And it wasn't nearly enough.
James Hanscombe if only Spader start the office 2 season earlier. I love Robert Character, it was almost precisly the opposite Michael character. But overall, michael character almost a magic to me. He can be dumb af but in the other time he can make other people more dumb than he is, without making him look smarter.
Truth man !!!

James Hanscombe will ferrell was a bad call for this show
Who is Steve. All I see is the funniest guy ever, Michael Scott.
Born Boy World's Best Boss
Thats what she said.
Awww thanks
This left me satisfied and smiling
Yes it did
Steve Carell is such a cutie. What a great clip! Such a humble guy...
Ryan is just as hot as Jan but in a different way
I really, really missed Steve. The first episodes without him were pretty painful to watch. It just wasn't complete.
The Girl At The Front Desk i agree 1000 oct
ĺ
The Girl At The Front Desk it really wasn’t
couldn’t agree more
The episodes were easy to watch but now i barely watch 1 episode
Praise God for Angela and her doing this. I thought I wouldn't be able to find a bts video like this. Dang. I'm both happy and sad rn.
1:01 He’s babieeeeeeeeeee🥺🥺🥺 and when he poked out his head through the door my heart just melt :,)
I wish they added him more in the finale! 😖😭
A decade later and still resonating.. I mean even family guy did a spoof of Netflix message "are you still watching?...option: no because it's not a Michael Scott episode" lmao

1:03 i literally teared up at that smile
I died at the part when he took off the sound thing
[inaudible "that's what she said"]
I literally cry every time I watch his last 3 episodes the proposal to Hollie the last dundies and his goodbye episode...get me every single time...🥺😢
2:51 Steve's answer was my answer too lol. That duet is a top 10 moment in the whole series. Unforgettable.
I'm a grown man and this is one of the moments in the show that made me shed tears.
I think Michael Scott's exit should have been the show's exit. It was never the same without him. I also think Angela is adorable.
Larry Lee Moniz I agreed midway through the show, then when I saw the last episode, I sorta changed my mind... I think they should've cut down the series a bit.. like not go as long as they did without Michael Scott
Larry Lee Moniz just like greys anatomy should've ended at the season 10 finale ugh
Okay season 8-9 may not be the best but it was okay.
The series finale made it all worth it.
Saumya Bhadani Season 8 was fine. Steve Carell is literally my dream man.
I think it's a truth for many women:)
Steve is so nice. He is a masterpiece of evolution.
Holy crap this is one of the original vlogs on the internet
Seeing Michael act and speak like a professional person is so unnatural
after Steve left it took a long time for me to watch the episodes without him... every episode I'm hoping he pops up or atleast mentioned, I still haven't even finished the last season lol just wish they could make it all happen again... like Michael wins the lottery and starts his own paper company! calls everyone to work for him even Toby... idk

How can you not smile when you watch this?
Steve is sweetest person i guess it just heartwarming when he smiles
This show has helped me and my family get through the covid 19 lockdown.
Angela is gorgeous.
Andrei Minhos IKR! She was always the most beautiful woman on the show but her character was, well, ick. Now I find she is such a nice person I absolutely love her!
HE'S SO BLOODY CUTE XD
I love this show sooo much! Their chemistry and friendship really shined through their characters.
hoooooooly he's getting younger thru the years hot damn
The way this still hits hard after nine years 😩
THAT NOSE SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHH IM LITERALLY CRYING 😫💜💜
I missed this show. It was one of the best ever.
Steve Carell was just perfect casting for Michael Scott, no one could have done what he brought to that role! The Goat!
I'm so glad I clicked on this video! Best sitcom ever!
I love this ,thank you for this clip....made my heart warm i cried manly tears when he left the show, i just seen all the seasons it took me 2 months on the finale was dissappointed steve couldnt appear on more scenes, the finale was a dissapointment but felt warm and glad i got to see the show and become a fan of it, thanks to the whole cast

the episode he says goodbye to everyone in a special and different way, it made me cry, that was the hardest part to watch
I love how he pokes his head out
Steve answering about his favourite songs he didnt mention 9,986,000 minutes so the video is made before shooting the final episode😄
The office will be in my heart forever.
Still today on Nov 07, 2019 while watching this, I was feeling the anxiety in a form of pain in my belly. I wish I could kiss Steve Carell goodbye with tears in my eyes.
Angela and Steve are so wholesome
Steve was one of the greatest gifts to American comedy hands down. Space force is amazing and as good as I expected it to be
IS, you mean. He's still alive (thank goodness!). 🙂
God i can't express how much i love him
3:50
Steve doing a fake “not leaving the show”
I've only watched The Office all the way through twice so far (I know, I'm a rookie huh?). But that's only because when I watch that last episode, it doesn't feel right to restart it right then. Kat M,amen....I have to have on on when I go to sleep at night
Angela had no idea how much this video would mean later on
Guy is so brilliant, show was awesome
This is great. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely to see. Thanks for the fun guys.
3:48 is he talking about the interview? it's heartbreaking :(
My favorite musical moment was when Michael Scott sang, "Goodbye Toby!" I thought for sure he'd say that one, but then I realized that Steve doesn't hate Paul the way Michael hates Toby. But that song is epic!
The Office BFFs book by Angela & Jenna brought me here!
I love Steve. So witty and kind

Just watched the office for the first time, I watched up until Michael left and then the final 4 episodes of season 9 as I really couldn’t picture the show without him

TheMarcusGomez I really hope so
Steve said it’s not likely to happen because it wouldn’t be the same..
TheMarcusGomez it happening but without him
Jack Spedicy 2 Yea that's what I heard, but there's rumors that they are trying to convince steve to come back, hopefully he comes back if the show comes back.

even though the show got over a long time ago..
i started crying during this vid
Omg, thats so cute! Ive Being rewatching The Office for the second/third time and i really Love The 9,980,000 scene. Also, i Love The fact that SC remembered The scene of Dwights and Andys playing guitar!
“These are your friends” 😢
She sounds like such a mom XD Love her
As a hardcore office fan this is golden treasure
I cry😭😭😭😭
Did you hear that?
It was my heart shuttering 😥😭
3:50 - he's right. this is so sad
Fav song moment...... he dint know that we will be hit by 9 million farewell song very soon
Angela, thank you so much!
Steve is such a Michael! So charismatic, but less awkward 😂
best vlog ever
I hate the fact that he knew he fucked up but it was obviously to late to do anything about it.
Bush craft Jon he wanted to leave
Yes obviously, but he regretted it.
I don't think it was regret, just bittersweet. It's natural to feel a little sad and briefly regretful when you make a big change, but he was pursuing bigger things and more personal focus.
I love michael scott so much it hurts, he is the best character ever!!!!!!!!!!

Steve is so adorable I can’t
thank you!!
STEVE CARELL'S SMILE IS BETTER THAN MY FACE LOL
The series was all about the goodness and Michael Scott. That was the soul of the show.
i miss the office!
I love Steve so much ♥️ And in my opinion the show was fantastic when he was in it, but when he left the greatness of the show left too
love love steve carell aka Michael Scott
NBC really dropped the ball not giving him a new contract
I WONDEEEER WHY??! He was great! 😢
Nostalgia is truly one of the human weaknesses
Angela is much nicer than Angela
I wish they could do a reboot or a movie. An office movie would be so awesome!
come back for author office USA series
What's that?
