So you are a German in English or Duits(Dutch) aka German. Most English do not know the meaning of Dutch so please do not add to the confusion. People from Nederland are called Nederlanders.
Slechte deal in mijn ogen.
Hi girls, after years to me it’s still a mystery how Dutchies got paired. Dutch guys are handsome but can easily kill all romance with casual dating, no imagination, splitting the bill...At the same time they get settled down super fast with basic girls and become super responsible and attentive. How do you get from phase one to two is a mystery.
@@MisterTLion5921 Also the whole "no effort, no creativity" thing... When talking about FIRST dates. What the hell??? Are guys supposed to put a lot of effort, time and money into someone they don't even know? And also they should fully pay for these expensive dates, because splitting the bill kills all romance, right? The first date should be to get to know someone in the first place, and only after you know them you can decide what you're willing to do for them. Their sense of entitlement is absurd. They see dates as free entertainment, adventure, food, drinks, validation, etc, and want top-tier service, but the service provider has to pay for it. They don't even want to pay with sex, no no no that would be extremely sexist wouldn't it? After all, the sex is also part of the service, so the guy must deliver good sex too. If a guy wants to provide and pay for these good dates in exchange for sex he's an asshole sexist "nice guy" who objectifies women and expects niceness to be rewarded with sex. Given all of that, it's incredible how these women also rant about "equality" and "gender roles". I hate gender roles and support gender equality (and if you the reader are already mad and triggered and assuming i'm conservative red-pilled anti-woke anti-lgbt+ etc, i should also mention that i'm non-binary and pansexual). Which is why i'm only interested in an equalitarian relationship devoid of gender roles, and i would only get that from a woman who is completely different from those women. Their view of relationships has strong gender roles and inequality, just not in the same way as the traditional conservative mindset.
The mentality outside the ''Randstad'' (Noord- and Zuid- Holland) is different in many ways, people in the Southern part have a more friendly outgoing mentality and are less direct, more romantic, and splitting a bill is not done here, sex on first date is rare, more about getting to know each other and see if there is a spark somewhere! a Dutch mentality mixed with French and a bit German influences. So that stereotype regards to Holland (the Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam)
Amsterdam is very expensive compared to other parts of The Netherlands. I'm from the south and we give rounds when we go out, but not as many when we go to Amsterdam. It's pretty much twice the price of my home town when ordering a beer.
I got an ex of Dutch. We never seen each other. But he’s amazing. He’s curious always about my life, but I was obsessed on him, that’s why we broke up. He had it all for me. Big plans, loyal and I wasn’t just so trusting him, he’s so good looking that I can’t control my jealousy.
Personally (as a Dutch man), I love paying for a date with someone who doesn't think that splitting a bill is cheap behaviour. Good dates usually have more than one bill and I quite like women to pull their own weight and highly appreciate it when someone pays one of them (all according to their financial capacity). I believe people who expect their counterpart to pay for the bill are cheap: I wouldn't want to date someone like that. Definite red flag.
The person who asks should pay. A man attempting to court a woman *seriously* should be showing it by asking regularly and paying. It's really not a big deal.
@@IzzyInTheCity Good idea in essence, but you run into two problems: 1. even though it might be hard to fathom for you, even this amount of money may be problematic for some, and 2. it's still very much the norm that men court women, so you are stuck with the gender role of mostly the man paying for dates instead of based on who is more serious.
Really? Does the younger generation send tikkies after a date? Well yes maybe when you felt played by the girl or when she seemed not to be impressed by you.. ;-) I don't think any one male expects a bed ending of a date unless you just walked straight off Temptation Island.. (Dutch dating show.. those guys sometimes think they have the Golden Willy..) If I watch this video I clearly see different opinions and different principles between girls depending on cultural back ground.
As a Dutchman, the word "effort" isnt in our dictionairy when it comes to relationships. Thats more because everything is available for free on the streets in every taste and color you can imagine. If something doenst work, just walk to the next...
What I am thinking is what is considered effort? I mean I show interest in you and where gonna do something isn't that effort enuf? You want some grand expensive event? Thats maybe expecting to much.
With sex I don't know anyone who expects sex on a first date that's usually when you know eachother better,I didn't do it untill the 4th date I know my Spanish girl for a few months untill we did it,I didn't wanna preshure her.
Absolutely not. Cheating is very frowned upon in the Netherlands. Honesty and open communication is strongly valued here so cheating is not acceptable. Most men here would love a monogamous relationship but that doesn’t mean non-monogamy never happens. If non-monogamy does happen then both women and men are direct about it instead hiding it by cheating. Most men like to keep their options open and get to know multiple women until they truly feel like they found their soulmate then they go into a committed relationship and are usually very loyal.
Wel first you have to ask yourself what does romance mean for you? For me it's beeing there for the other supporting them and hugs and kisses and sometimes surprising them with something but that's kind of as far as I go,am not Bruno mars am not taking grenades all day :p

Barbara is from Nederland and she is not Dutch(duits aka German). English people do not know what the term Dutch means or where it comes from.
