Hello Dave, pleased to make your aquaintance as well. Although I gave it away when the Govt sold the ole NZR off the interest is still strong as ever. now I'm relishing watching the big Yankee muscle loco's strutting their stuff whenever I venture out into the Pilbara region to the mines. I never met your Dad whilst on the job, but it seems he liked the old English Electric locos a bit. Apart from working the DE's on and DSC's that is the limit of my Pommie loco experience. Thx John Parkinson
yeah , great video, thanks, I see in a comment on another video, that you are an ex NZR driver. My late father, Ron Harris, was an engine driver in Te Rapa, for many years. I also was a TX , in Te Rapa, relieving in Kinlieth, & Taumarunui. Dad used to love the Dx`s, but had soft spot for the old Df`s, & also the Di`s. Dave Harris
