Hey Dustin I just moved to West Virginia back in the fall and I started caving again and there's allegedly only one cave in Morgan county West Virginia which I disagree. I think there's caves here they don't know about and I actually found one the other day at least I think it is I have to investigate though. The hard thing is many of these caves on private property and I have no trespassing signs all over the place. I've never seen a place with so many no trespassing signs. If it's not a state park it's owned by someone, doesn't West Virginia just own land like public land? Where are you located?
I saw a video once where there was a fissure in the ground like that and this man put his GoPro down into it and you would not believe what was under there a big room with all these stalactites and stuff and stalagmites. And from top side it just looked like a space that was like 2 ft wide and didn't look like it went any place. BTW I live in WV. The place you are showing reminds me of where I live in West Virginia lots of outcroppings of rocks and ridges that look exactly the same lots of shale and stuff too. Some places because of the rubble the caves have been closed off in some areas. I don't know what you use to film the video. You need to stabilizer I agree with the other person who commented it's very shaky and stuff and kind of gives you a headache even though I loved watching and listening. Thank you for sharing. I have a fairly big sinkhole on my property near Mammoth Cave KY. Other larger ones near by. Any ideas you would share to see if I have caves ? I have 43 acres. Thanks.
I live in Paducah and have been trying to find any caves nearby, I haven’t been to mammoth cave but I’ve heard there are caves in smithland/ledbetter, let me know if you find anything out about your property that’s awesome!
Great video. I'm trying to learn more about locating caves. Never would have thought about the line of trees going into a field.

As a WV native and caver I can say he's spot on. We do a lot of ridge walking looking for sink holes to find them
