    Great job peter and dawn I do belive that john Barnard the narrowboat painting god started off as a tight yorkshireman ! He then started drinking Black sheep ale and the rest is history ! Good luck with the job ahead x

    Peter and Dawn - Nice Job! I looks like a strimmer would come in handy with some of those random canal moorings. Thanks for speeding up the video during all the sanding, which seems to take forever when you are in the midst of it. Dawn, you are a Great help! Peter, you seemed to have inherited that handy Yorkshireman talent for tackling virtually any project that comes along, that and using RUclips to research the project before diving in. I am guessing your boat is at least 25 years old from the number of coats of paint that are sanding off. I wish you both the best!

    • @WingingItBoatingonaBudget
      @WingingItBoatingonaBudget  4 месяца назад +1

      We 'think the boat was built originally in the 80's and its last major overall was almost 10 years ago, so the paintwork certainly has a few stories to tell. In reality that day we did around 8 hours work and I guess 6 hours of that was sanding, so I speeded up the bits we showed and missed out a LOT of it altogether. It wouldn't make for good viewing at all!

      @billharris6886 4 месяца назад

      @@WingingItBoatingonaBudget Thanks Peter for the history on your boat, it looks to be in reasonably good condition in the video. Yes, your video length of sanding was just about right. Watching sanding is typically in the same category as watching paint dry.
