Anybody else can’t watch any other nail channel? I try watching other channels and I cringe at small mistakes. She truly has an eye for perfection, watching her videos is so relaxing!!
I completely agree. I told Kirsty she's ruined me to be able to watch other nail channels because I'm always comparing them to Kirsty's high standards and amazing artistry skills. Dont misunderstand as I do watch others and give compliments when I like their work, etc. but no one comes close to Kirsty's creativity, skill level and most importantly her personality! Eek, I'm quite a gusher over her.... forgive me.
I do watch other channels, there are alot of fantastic pros on youtube, but also more "nailvideos" from trainees. But i absolutely get what you're saying in regards to kirsty, kirsty thinks outside the box, she has an obvious passion for what she does, her creativity stunns me. Her lines, her techniques, her ideas. And her personality shines through the videos. But if you haven't seen April Ryan, the nail hub for educational purposes. Celine for light elegance, anastasia for her c curve. Tammy taylor of corse. But none of them have the out of the box creativity and innovation that kirsty indeed has. They all have there way. And thats pretty good enough for me. Variety is out there. I actually buy so much from naio nails, i highly recommend it. Xxx

I always do this, why not it adds so much to the design but I just put my glitter down with clear acrylic or gel, sculpt and then put my cover acrylic over top.
FailureCloud I’m guessing because the glittery acrylic would make the underside of the nail gritty and textured whereas laying a clear base would make it smooth.
I imagine that if you did it that way you'd get sharp glitter poking out if the bottoms starts wearing down as you wear it for a while. The sandwich keeps the glitter edges concealed longer? Just a guess
i've often wondered why decorating the underside of the nail wasn't a thing. i usually wear mine pretty short but when they are long i polish the undersides as well.
Laaiba Arshad I believe all the products Kirsty uses are by them, I thought that was the point of the channel to show off the products and make people want to buy them, and also that's why Kirsty gets the new products before they even have names and stuff.

I've noticed lately that your sculpted nails tend to be on the thicker side. I'm hoping it's because of customer preference and not a sign of trending style because, to me, it looks a bit heavy on the natural nail bed and unprofessional. Other than that, beautiful!
I had no idea this could be done! I've always been taught that acrylic can not be applied over any type of gel (soak off and hard). Is it possible to sandwich hard gel colors in between acrylic layers if prepped the way you did the gel polish?
This could be a stupid question but i am only need to the nail world. Why didnt kirsty take the clear acrylic over the whole natural nail (only halfway up)? Wouldnt the coloured acrylic stain the nail?

This is so weird i already have that red powder in my shopping basket and i was also looking for a way to color my nails underneath because i got some tips for free that im not fond of.also ive been thinking of using nail polish in between acrylic as part of a design i have inmind.
I do my nails regularly and I never see that amount of color choices not to mention the sculpting level ,please take note nail tech,we need more of this amazing art
Is there a slight shimmer to that acrylic you used? It reminded me of the powder you showed us recently that made its own marble patterns when manipulated

One of my favorites you've ever done. Classy and elegant without losing the bling! Sometimes lately, people go overboard with the crystals and decoration and it ends up looking gaudy and tacky. This was perfect. 😍😍😍 Btw, is there a reason you don't use Mega Gloss topcoat anymore? It used to be a staple and now I don't ever see you use it.

This video literally came at the best time! I'm doing my best friends nails today and this is basically the same design she wanted! I was wondering for the top of the nail, when applying the glitter do you HAVE to use a gel or could you use a regular top coat and get the same results? Love love LOVE the video!! Ok question. Why not just do a thin base layer with sparkly/glittery acrylic and then a normal color of acrylic? Instead of making a sandwich?

the clear acrylic protects the glitter and makes it smooth :)
Some people like doing redesign and if you make it glitter you have to do a full soak off are re-use the glitter.
