Nice review as always. I think your correct when you say to leave it stock. It's so small and probably would be hard to go brushless and fit in a separate ESC and receiver. It comes with a smart charger that is the same as the LOSI mini LMT but it has a larger capacity battery. Mine took over 4 hours to charge. I wonder if these batteries have the self storage capability?
Idk if I will worry about these batteries, just run and charge em
