Treatment plan? How many sessions will it take to get there? I have heard some therapists drag this for more than a year. I would love it if you could tell your patients that the path will take 5 sessions at the most. If not, why not?
Your question makes sense! Many couples are able to experience a significant change in their relationship in 5 sessions. However, treatment length often depends on the history of distress (a month of fighting is different from a hx of affairs in the relationship) and openness to change and growth (some couples take time to develop insight, change behaviors, and heal from past hurt).
Sooo what my problem is when I’m upset and in emotion I tend to say things I don’t mean for example “we bought a new printer, print out the divorce papers so I can sign them”. But I say that cuz of the upset emotion, I really didn’t mean it but I just want to be one up then her. But I’m over being one up and i try to dissect the senecio that got us upset. I’ve swallowed my pride and try to communicate more maturely and to improve in myself and to treat her how she treats me. But ever since I told her that the “printer” she took her ring off and doesn’t even tell me I love you any more. She still hasn’t forgave me. The past month I’ve been really good and i’m proud of myself and will continue for years and years to be loving and caring and to be the best husband to her ever, she’s my queen. But she’s still in that funk 1 month later. It just seems like she doesn’t have the time for me and just gave up on our marriage totally. Idk what else to do. I scheduled marriage counseling and it’s for tomorrow and I can’t wait. Im trying to fight for my marriage but for her she only has power for the marriage counseling and nothing else. It’s tough but I won’t stop until she gives me her final decision. Btw my wife is 24 and i’m 36.
@@m00nlight112233 not really, both partners have to work on the relationship together. She didn’t want to and it’s hard to force some one to be with you or to change their mind when they are set on what they want to do. I wished it helped. My wife has mental issues that she needs to figure out and she wants to do it alone.
I'm feeling that today, my first appointment is this afternoon. I asked the husband to go with me (I've gone to counseling for myself before) and he agreed several times but only got serious about it after I shared that I'm angry at myself for putting up with the situation for so long. I hope you found some healing, and I hope I do, too.
We can’t afford it. And I am just so lost right now. Looking endlessly for videos we can do at home as if the therapist online can talk back to us. I feel stupid. Good luck to you ladies.
What if the other spouse goes in and starts lying right off the bat? Can a therapist tell that? What if it comes out in the counseling that there's something deeper going on with the other spouse than what meets the eye, can the therapist suggest individual therapy?
Colossians 3:18 "Wives, be subordinate to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your Children, so they may not become discouraged".
This is a very underrated video. Thank you!
I wanna take my first step i need help 😩 i love my wife an my kids
You can do this brother. My wife and I help counsel couples and I want to let you know you can get through whatever is going on.

Today is our 1st appt and I'm not optimistic. I'm just tired of dealing with it

How was it how much it cost and what is your feedback?

They can do that, but the truth will eventually come out, lies are unsustainable in several sesions
What to do when your wife tell you she hates you don't love wish you were dead then tells me she is gonna kill me dead what to do now
Sadly my ex is not interested in counseling, she believes they will take my side
so in other words just talk about the past. This will never work.
