and for the last bullet point, how to reach conclusions, Can we rather say to look for trends in the table, and judge weather increasing the distance increases or decreases the current
Hello Miss, Should we write the name of line NL by considering point N at the top and L at the bottom, or we just have to write NL. + Thanks for the great explanation!
ma, am i have mentioned the following control variables, are they all correct? .Temp of conducting liquid . Vol. of conducting liquid added .Voltage supply from power supply . the dimension of the container . The size and material of electrodes
Plotting a graph of change in current against distance between two electrodes Plotting a graph of disctance between two electrodes against change in current Is both the same? Is x-axis first?
Typically we put the indep variable (distance between 2 electrodes) on the x axis and the dependent variable (change in current) on the y axis when you say plot current against distance, it means current is on the y axis while the distance is the x axis but if you write plot distance against current, that means distance is on the y axis and current is on the x axis.
if it asks for a best fit line, u will always draw a straight line with a ruler. you’d draw a curve through the points freehand if it asked for a “best fit curve”
Yes correct. But for my graph since it can go through many other points, I continued with the shown line. And the gradient obtained was within the range so the line is correct :)
Why in the last question you said plot a graph of change on current against distance between electrode shouldn’t it be the opposite like distance between electrode against change on current as because the distance between electrodes is x axis and change in current is y axis, because i know that it always x axis against the y axis?
Thanks a lot for this video!! Absolutely loved it…but I have one question. Can you please explain Q2 (f) in more detail? I haven’t understood that one. Thanks once again!
Is this the one for taking measurements? These are the right away of measuring level. You have to place your eyes perpendicular to the bottom of the meniscus for accuracy purposes.
Miss, at the moment , 14:14 Why didn't we say that E is after pin P4 , but for moment 16:40 We didn't extend the line and therefore you labelled point G behind p6 And ya, I appreciate your hard work!
I think the main reason is because between those two, those small curved volumes on the sides are very small between the levels compared to rest of empty volume between the levels. So, the small volume is neglibile to provide better accuracy.
I presume as we take the lower bound as you would imagine if the volume is negligible it would mean that if the water were not to curve due to surface tension it would not be at that top level and more likely to bet at the bottom.
Ma'am, at 4:21, if the y axis labels (data) starts from the origin (0) then we can't draw a best fit line like u drew so we'll have to go with the original not best fit line?
Sorry I don’t quite understand. Best fit line means , it’s a straight line that touches as many points as you can. And it’s okay to have some point above and below the line.
In the specification course guideline, they mentioned for gradient write ans in 3sf And other times you can refer to other value are in how many sf and u follow

in the start u mentioned a best fit line, does a best fit line have to be stright line only?
yess
If the plotted points are somehow shaped like a curve and the question wants a best-fit line, should I just simply draw a curve or a straight line?
if it asks for a best fit line, u will always draw a straight line with a ruler. you’d draw a curve through the points freehand if it asked for a “best fit curve”

For question 4, do i have to mention the value of the distances(ex. 3cm...)? or just say , to repeat with four other distances
Just say repeat with four or five other distances
Don't you have any other video which covers how to choose scale as there r some values which are impossible to select, i.e 0.26 till 0.83
Can i draw a curve as a best fit?
yeah
Also in the final question do we have to actually draw the graph showing increase distance decreases current or we just gotta mention it

I don't get Q2(f)
If the volume of water between the top and bottom of the meniscus is negligible, why dont we take reading from the top then?? 8:51
probably cuz the top is somewhat curved and we're taught to measure from the meniscus cuz its "flat" yk?
I think the main reason is because between those two, those small curved volumes on the sides are very small between the levels compared to rest of empty volume between the levels. So, the small volume is neglibile to provide better accuracy.

I presume as we take the lower bound as you would imagine if the volume is negligible it would mean that if the water were not to curve due to surface tension it would not be at that top level and more likely to bet at the bottom.
To prevent parallax error, the line of sight should be perpendicular to the reading at the bottom of the meniscus
8:16 in this part of question can i include larger surface area or air movement since they increase rate of evaporation?
Yes you can by using a larger/ wider beaker then in this case.
