Whoa nah, I remember this back in '03-'04. I was like 14-15 maybe n it hit so hard out the two fifteen in back of my homies pathfinder everywhere we went you'd hear us at least 4-5 mins before you'd see us and I used to be very into rappers from Alabama. Deuce. Dirty Boys, last Mr.Biggs, Six trae G, Young Weedy, Yela are only a short few.. Most def overlooked and underrated always has been maybe not always will be.. 256 all day Gadsden Etowah County nothing but love and proud to be from n call home.
That my shit had a cutlies and regale two fithteen beat hard he'll start at 13 14 all ready get ready man got drive id it was on pop went through some shit mannnn just don't no
I was just chilling and this song just popped up in my head, so I had to search for it. I was young af when it came out, but it use to go hard and still do. #334
I'm from bama and unfortunately went to prison in 2013. When I got to my permanent camp my very first bunkmate was the one and only "young ass OG by the name of CLB" and he's still one of the most humble people I've ever met regardless of situation but by leaps and bounds when you consider his situation and potential future. It's crazy going back and listening to their music knowing what I know now. The absolute most chilling instance is that what eventually happened was they weren't just a group they were a huge music collective as well as them all having grown up together in poverty in the hood so they were still in the streets as well. I'm not sure if their manager was local or not but he was with the bs too and while creating and pushing a music career he was also building and growing a drug dealing empire within the group/collective. Like always they were all eventually caught and charged then once the smoke cleared literally every single member had cooperated in some fashion except one....the young ass OG by the name of CLB. As a result he received a life sentence just for some drug sale cases but took it like a man and stayed solid. The weird part is that this song obviously came out before all that happened but in the original CLB says "the punk ass popo done caught up with me, drugs trafficking that's a major felony, narcotics trying to get me to snitch but I simply reply I'm not a bitch". In the remix which is what all the lyric pages use his verse is basically flipped and only the first two lines of that section remain, so the snitch part is missing....
I still remember the first time I heard this song. I was on my senior trip at Panama City Beach in 2001. About 5 deep in a buddies blazer. He put a premade mixed cd like they used to sell at car audio places or gas stations and shit. Fuckin love this shit. My God.
