I went to Lone Star Kart Park for the first time which is outside of turn 1 at the Texas Motor Speedway in Forth Worth, Tx. Here is my review and footage of the track.
Just went karting here today. To say the least- T4 was horrible for half of the racers, none of them could keep it through the turn, had around 8 cautions in one race, 6 or so caused by T4, the others caused by T9 and T10/11. The karts a pretty good! (Karts 24 and 23 sucked today.) Generally feels beginner friendly, would recommend (very bumpy tho)
dont bother going until they repave it. its so bumpy it feels like driving on speedbumps and pot holes. if you have back problems avoid it, if you dont still avoid it so you dont develop back problems. you only have to lift once in turn 10 the rest of the track is able to be run flat out.
Yep. Fun track. After a while you get really good at it just from track experience. Like the first time I was there I set a 56.6, but just recently after being there only 2 times I have pulled out a 53.7. Hope to soon be a league racer there.
Good track review. You should tour the country reviewing tracks, carts and club series. Avondale, Biloxi, Tulsa, Houston….man there are tracks everywhere. I would definitely tune in for that.
Will have to pay them a visit! The "square section" track is very popular in the UK (see Buckmore Park, PFI, Llandow, etc.) The concrete runoff is a nice benefit for getting back in the fight quickly if you run off. How do the rental karts compare to DKC in terms of pace? I will say that the track surface looks a bit rough. I couldn't imagine that in a TAG 125, let alone a shifter (not without an insert anyway). 😬

My local outdoor track has the exact same karts that you can rent but without the head rests and seat belts because they aren't required in Scotland

Looks like a decent layout. Paving looks pretty rough though, I remember someone said it was really bumpy. Maybe they'll smooth it out over time.
