Is it normal for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra regular phone volume to be lower than the speaker phone setting sounding lower than speaker phone? I recently had the water proof Spyder case type installed but with the bottom plugs removed the media and other volumes are quite loud just when I switch to speaker volume sounds normal but the none speaker regular phone option sounds not as loud is that normal for Android smart phone ? Kept thinking the water proof case might have something to do with it everyone I spoken to says they can hear me fine but on my end the phone volume is quieter than the Speaker phone volume
I just read some of the comments. This does NOT raise the volume! That is not the idea. Samsung put a limit on the maximum volume level your device will play out to save hearing when wearing headphones. It is pretty damn annoying when you are playing music at a party using an aux cable in the headphone jack and all of a sudden the volume automatically goes down. Thanks for the tips doc!

It doesn't increase the absolute volume limit at all , it just means you can turn it up to the maximum level ... But they put terrible speakers in the s22 ultra . 🤬🤬🤬
I'm literally on the verge to throw my phone in the wall just because of the subpar volume to my Bluetooth headphones. I had a Sony phone before that could play my WF-1000MX4 really loud, and I expected nothing less with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Fantastic phone with ridiculously low headphones volume. Unfortunately, your suggested solutions didn't do anything for my headphones.

Get an equalizer app.it will better recognize your headphones dynamic range, which is usually what it doesn't detect unless it's samsung buds. Either way every app is also an amplifier
im impressed with my note 20 ultra notif sound when someone calls me. its really loud and noticeable louder than my note 10plus. when i saw videos s22ultra having weaker speakers than note10 plus im kinda disappointed. so does this increase loudness on ringtones and earpiece volume on calls?

Media limit sets a lower maximum volume than absolute max if you wish to. Just having that to off is enough. Disable absolute volume lends a seperate controller of volume to your headphones. This allows for greater dynamic range and sound quality on high end gear. For cheaper brands it's better to leave full control to the phone.
I have the same problem tho it's a bit better on Speaker but not on speaker you can barely hear anything from the other end during phone conversation, but it's loud watching RUclips videos also it's in a water proof case with the bottom USB/stylus dust cover removed dunno because the mic and speaker is cover it say should work fine online I should've just got a regular case for it not sure what exactly is causing it ?

Whats the deal with the volume with the headphone? I just spent over 1000 bucks for this s22 phone and I'm a musician who needs LOUD volume! I bought an Apple dongle and done all you said to do. Someone else ssaid it ws DAC issue? I have to buy a headphone amp for this? I'm about to return this phone and loose on about $300 for my first payment made and restocking fee but this volume limit is totally unacceptable.
The isues I can see is ether buy a dac amp dongle or a USB dac amp like a diablo dac or hit dac amp for power also cleans up sound quality due to using wired connection

In my s22 ultra, during the call, volume is moderate. Not so good. Is there any way to improve it ?

Search "hearing enhancements" in settings. Then choose "adapt sound"
Then press "test my hearing"

All the menus he showed were in phone, but did nothing to increase what the max volume already was.
