In "Advice" he's telling everybody that he can't be contained, that he will keep evolving and breaking out of any category that people put him in or stigmatize him with. And in the same way you have different personas here, some public and some private (I feel like when he is with dancers it is a public persona, and then when he is on his own it is a private persona, like Taemin in his own mind, a more naked Taemin--the masked Taemin and then the 'Bowser kilt' Taemin). Bowser kilt Taemin is locked in his mind in a claustrophobic space, and people can't see him because they can't get the key to his lock of his true self--but by the end of the MV he crashes the car and 'escapes' and is finally free. It's a self-destructive moment (with the white 'blood') but also perversely a freeing one of breaking out of a cage. It also feels like art is how Taemin breaks free and expresses himself--which is why the MV begins with him playing the piano, which was his entry into art and performance as a child, and how at 10:02 as he 'plays' the piano the image transforms and he reveals his inner, hidden persona

As with Pretty Boy and Famous, and after being scrutinized and directed for more than half of his life, Taemin is putting his foot down and calling his own shots now. He deserves peace and freedom on all levels. I expect he will emerge from the military transformed into his new identity, no doubt leaving his mark there as well. May his mind and heart continue to expand 💜

The MV is beyond amazing, and the song just grabs hold of you and won't let go :) It just feels like there's so much to discover, and so much left undiscovered, because, there are so many layers to this man's art. There's a part of choreo where she had to do a duet with one of the dancer. For live performance, she had other SM artists as dance partner (I only remember TVXQ's Yunho, Super Junior's Eunhyuk, and Taemin), in an interview BoA said Taemin is her favorite dance partner for this song.
Taemin had also done this dance with BoA over several years and the latest is especially heartfelt, especially after watching the progression (MAMA 2020?). I also like her mv she features him as an actor, not a singer/dancer.
TAEMIN represents what cannot be precisely defined in the approach to gender and role play in the MV music video, and the choreography is so multidimensional and unpredictable that it is difficult to classify it into a specific genre. T-POP

I'm LAAATEE but go and watch his reaction video with Minho, he explained a bit on the concepts and stuff, and listening minho's opinion as like a brother and member is pretty nice. One thing I said about the song is, some verses are sang in a way that made me feel like its a cassette tape being played backwards. And it adds to the vibe of the song (Taemin said the small room was meant to make the vibe to be like, unsettling/weird? I forgot the word but sth like different that makes u feel oof). Let's not talk abt dance, we know this is Taemin. He never disappoints he outdo himself everytime. I gotta admit though that this song might be a song that needs time to grow on some people that doesn't really venture into many song genres. But it's catchy as hell. Can't sing along to most parts cause damn I'd just get tongue tied with my limited korean but still, catchy
