Spoiler I have a Beholder with memorieloss in my campaign. He is a registered adventurer going by the name of Bob Holder, so everytime he's at a event with anouncers got to present B. Holder. XD
2:20:32. This D&D series is a freaking improv cartoon and I am loving every moment of hilarious stuff like this. Stay hilarious, Taka, Zeto, Conner, Monty and GaijinGoombah! You guys are flipping awesome!
on the bright side, flumps are one of the few psionic beings in the underdark that is rather positive, they survive by feeding off of and eliminating the negative mental activity of other orginisms, basically they live by helping u feel better
I'm with Connor on this one, I can't handle this episode. Too many hilariously dumb npcs between the beevis and butthead gazers and Jerry the flumph I'm frickin dying
After gazing into the confusion of the gauntlet, the Unexpectables say hello to a new civilization and learn that there is more then beauty is in the eye of the beholder
3:08:42 ; Fun Fact: all beholders are actually, literally, factually, CLINICALLY FUCKING INSANE. Nuttier than 1000 tons of squirrel shit, fruitier than the entire collective fruit section of all the known grocery stores of Earth, and so far around the bend that they've looped back and shared the tale with themselves from the past.
Panic, you may want to pick up Leomund's Tiny Hut for you & the party. Ritual, 3rd level, 1 minute cast, 8 hr duration & Borky, Greckles & Task can still range attack from inside.
Great spell until the DM busts out creatures with a Burrowing Speed. Which considering they were in the Underdark would be a relatively high number of monsters.
31:37 Is it bad that I just imagine this being like a dad who's caught their kid trying to sneak out of bed and just gives them the stern narrowed eyes and the silent "Go to your room" point?
This... this is my favorite episode. Not the backstory ones, not the time where borky beheads the stupid sun general, not the gnoll wedding, not even the rug who's got a knife... THIS is the best episode for me so far.
Do you still like this one more than more recent episodes, say 141 Kermit to Your God? I still love Gazed and Confused, but Kermit to Your God was great.
Looking at the Umber Hulk's Confusing Gaze it's not vague on how it work. Basically it would only take affect "IF" the creature starts within 30 feet of it and can see Umber Hulks eye's. So when Greckles Started outside that 30 foot range then when he moves into in even if it was looking at him it wouldn't take affect, but if he stays within 30 feet on his next turn and it eye's was locked onto him then he would have to choose to advert his gaze. Anyway it was fine, the fight still went fine, but it would've worded it different. Instead of, "Starts it turn", the way it was being handle would've been worded, "Moves within." Of course Monty can rule however, but I was confused at how it seemed vague is all.
#Unexpectables I love y'alls goofy stuff and Monty I love your Skys of Arcadia Streams and Zito also love the Tfs At the table and takahata101 your comedy is a killer Goomba I find you very entertaining and Destortion Devil What is your Favorite part of Skelligah. I think I spelt that right . And sorry for long comments also connor Sorry people Correct your Opinion.
Beholder are weak. The anti-magic cone also effects the eye rays. Have the entire party withing the cone and it can't attack. And if you are concentrating the spells return when the cone is off. Panic casting blindness will shut off its stalks but not the antimagic so if it turns off the main eye it's blind. Borky could just go ham while in the cone and task can shook from a distance. Grackles can throw his daggers. Beholder are easy to kill.
I love how for the first two hours, I'm just sitting here like "Guys, literally any one of you, except maybe Panic, can one-round a single Gazer on your own" xD
Ya know I got this anime asthetic going on in my brain as I watch these... And when Jerry realized the lake thing, I imagine his stalks actually looking for gills before the anime sweat drop plus blank eyes set in
It does for some reason Zito keeps forgetting that, sometimes he also forgets that it lasts an hr so he could keep it on something marked so he doesnt have too burn through all his slots
*A howl, a crack, the world spins. We descend tens of thousands of feet to find our heroes, tired, beaten to shit(mainly Borky), and brimming with thoughts of home, our friends set out to kill, beat, break, and maybe fuck(Panic), their way out of this Oran forsaken hole!* Also find Panic’s mom!
Monty: it may not be a good idea to tell this to Solly right now. Party: ok Zito: *immediately and deliberately does the thing* Also Zito: “why do bad things happen to me all the time?”
57:20 Zito, please read your own abilities. Hunter's mark specifically says it adds 1d6 to every attack. Sorry, but players asking their DMs for clarification instead of reading the abilities for themselves is one of my big pet peeves.
I know the official artwork for an umbra hulk (probably spelled wrong sorry) And this is going to sound weird but they’re adorable and if I had the chance I would try to adopt one as a pet in a DND campaign
32:25
Thus begins the cackling mad laughter of men who have looked upon death, said "they went thattaway" and death went thattaway.
When the abyss politely and awkwardly stares back at you.
That borky and and gazer moment lol. *_And I looked at him, and he looked at me, and I looked at him! And he looked back at me!_*
I’m legit thinking of a close up to eyes at that mental image
And he said what was that again?

2:13:37 is where Zito goes down the deep gaping hole and finds the consequences of his actions.
You just made a parenting joke, but whether it was intentionally, the world may never know
It wasn't intentional, I was trying to be as vague as possible while making it obvious to anyone who has seen that part.

No wonder they thrive in the Underdark. Everything sucks there.
Is it possible to overfeed a flump?
@@realdragon I mean everything is constantly miserable in the underdark so I imagine they are pretty used to it

My favorite are the festival episodes but this was amazing probably top 5 ( haven't seen past this yet ).
Ya this is is still pretty good even when you've seen the whole series
That's my secret, Panic. I'm always confused!
Borky: what if we skin it for parts, Task: “I know you’re playing me, but you’re right”
That has got to be one of the only times getting a Natural 1 on a Stealth check was better than getting a Natural 20.
Do you see yourselves able to survive divine judgement?
Oathbreaker Paladin *Visible Concern*
*Task with a fedora, tommy gun and Italian accent* "Where are the eyestalks Tony"
I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT BORKY WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE MONSTER COMING FOR THEM BECAUSE HE GOT BORED OF HIS ORIGINAL KILL
Fun fact. Umber hulks gaze only has a distance of 30ft. So panic and task had time where they could not even be affected by the gaze.
Calling it now. It's gonna be Pug behind all these doors.
I think it would have to be something at least vaguely Orun-related, but that would certainly be hilarious.
@@alias588 I saw episode 97 live, what's behind the door IS hilarious.
@Nicholas Scammon Never would have expected that. Monty must have had a begrudging change of heart.
The animatic was what got me into the unexpectables and now I am proud to say I have fully watched the series up to this point

For someone who has only seen a gazer once when it was someone's pet, Task sure is afraid of gazers . . .
Well he knows of Beholders and a Gazer is a tiny Beholder.
@@DracoMagnius Monty said though that beholders weren't really known about
