I’m a small creator but honestly I have so much fun and enjoy making my videos, I don’t mind if they don’t get views or likes, I’m just having fun creating and making the content I make. It’s more of a “release” and therapy for me to just create and enjoy the process. If others enjoy my content too, it’s a bonus , but I don’t expect it and as long as I’m proud of my content and happy with what I’m producing, I’m happier than if I don’t create or post my content.
Love that for you, enjoy it while it lasts because one day that will change when all you want to do is create content but you have to go to work. And you hate work. I’m here to prepare you for that.
@@BenKaluza honestly this is purely a hobby for me. Of course I would love to turn creating content into a career because I truly enjoy just creating content and editing videos. Who knows maybe something comes out of it but I truly enjoy the creating process the most.
Thanks brother. It’s clear that you’re fresh from the struggle of finding your place. Now that you’ve found it and are willing to share it right away, your advice is raw and energetic and relevant and that’s what I need.
Solid video man! It took me 8 years to hit 50k subscribers and then once I was finally dialed in it took about 18 months to surpass 200k subscribers. Gotta be in it with both feel with a long time horizon.
I just started my channel where I talk about my decade long battle with alcohol and I’m now sober 2 years. As well as sharing ways that I improved my mental health. Your video on just “creating” sort of building the plane on the way down helped me get out of my own head. I’m a funny guy too so trying to figure out where I’m going to take it and what resonates is the fun part. Appreciate you brother!👊❤️ I have 3 videos now… figure I’ll go for 100. I only have my iPhone though and a ring light. I admire your setup.
These type of videos made me subscribe to you, i find them really inspiring. Im not worrying about my feelers and numbers, im just going to create and learn.
bro speaking facts here. Very hard to make it when you get low views at the beginning. Also was so nice to meet you and have you come to our event. Appreciate you king!
I resonate deep with your spirit and journey and just how you pour out all the ups and downs you’ve been through for all those moments in your journey of content creation. I’m so glad you found your place and I can see you feel good just by how you talk straight from your heart. May God keep Blessing you man,I enjoy your authenticity big time!
I'm a tiny channel creator. I started making Vids as therapy for me as for the past few years I've lost love ones. When I make Videos I feel my depression subside. I love the process of recording, thinking of the area to shoot at, time of day to go out and film, editing....Again I creator because its an outlet for me. Come what may.
Thanks for this reminder and encouragement - I just started a channel a few weeks ago and the doubt has been the biggest thing to get over - just going to enjoy the process as it's a really helpful thing for me to do personally. Maybe some other people will be helped by it as well...
Thank you. I created this video for me. I decided to go faceless and I know I have a long way to go to see results, but I am more excited going this route. Amazing video.
I’m not sure how RUclips ended up recommending your video to me, but I’m really glad it did. I’m in the gaming niche, and I’ve noticed that it often suggests creators around the same subscriber count who are playing the same games as I am. It can be tough when I see them outperforming me; self-doubt creeps in, and I start to wonder if this is really meant for me. Your words really resonated with me, and I appreciate the encouragement!
Yeah I use to get that when I was streamer. Would see people around me growing faster when I thought my content was better. Just got to keep going and your time will come.
Again, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing where things go once I’m ready to start creating. Not expecting anything other than sharing my passion for gaming for now
man ive been through this and still do, so much so i gave up and deleted my channel. I thought i was making good content and deserved views which didn't come and then the self doubt and beating myself up began. I have since created a new channel and now have a better outlook on things and try to improve my content with every video. Time is a great thing and i now have enough pride to look at things from a better prospective and continue to improve my videos and attitude towards them. Thanks for this my man
That’s so great to hear. Self awareness and perspective are so important in content creation. A lot of people unfortunately think they’re content is better than it actually is which I think leads to entitlement. As soon as you can realise you got a long way to go but happy to take that long journey and are prepared for it, it’s so much easier to manage mentally
Excellent point about don’t just make video after video without learning something new each time. I’m kinda there and I needed that. I know I’m supposed to improve a little each time based on Mr beast advice. So you mentioning it brought it back. Thank you
Couldn't have found you at a better time. I committed to starting a channel this year and managed to get a few videos up but it took so much time to script and edit the videos. I'm going to give this low effort content a try. Thanks Ben!!
Thank you I needed this. Because everyday I feel like quoting RUclips and then I try and then quit again, but your video is helping me to stick to it…(I hope 🙈) Thanks 🙏🏾
@@bodybyzewdi I feel you, I’ve been there, just got keep pushing through. Stoping and taking breaks is fine. Just re strategise and think about what’s gonna make it easy to create content and what you enjoy creating content on
People get into RUclips with a mentality that's such a crutch on their spirit. They get into creating for money. They EXPECT to be paid, and some develop a sort of entitlement. If you create out of passion to help people, without looking for rewards, it starts out fun but also ends up being fun. The true reward comes from when you're video has helped even just a few souls.
Yes a lot of people unfortunately are creating purely for money these days rather than for creating. Those people don't usually last long when they realise how hard it is to be successful in content creation.
Once again really needed to hear this one! Recently all my creative efforts just don't seem to be paying off at all. Hardly get views, likes and shares. So this week has been my first week in a very long time where I stopped posting consistently just to step back and re-evaluate what it is that I am doing wrong with my content because clearly something is not working. Slowly I am trying to understand what it might be and I am just jotting it all down so that I can come back stronger creating content utilising my new ideas and tips i am making note of. So I appreciate you always sharing these types of tips/knowledge and experience because I can confidently say it helps and makes me realise I am headed in the right direction and I know one day I will make it, may that be in 5, 10, 15, 20 years or maybe even till I die but at least I can say to myself I tried and strived to get better day by day. So thank you Ben for helping me and all us other creators out here who are just wanting to do what they love in their life rather than following a mediocre/mundane lifestyle. Keep creating this stuff...❤ P.S sorry for the waffle, kind of just let my thoughts roll out 😅
Thank you for letting your thoughts out and being open and honest. Your mindset is defintely in the right place. Always play the long game. I think if you follow the right plan and be consistent, good progress usually comes in about a year.
@@BenKaluza You’re welcome Ben! For sure just trying to get better at my craft really so i think slowly but surely i shall do good and become successful hopefully it does happen in a year! I have been staying consistent though so let’s see! Thank you for the reply though appreciate it a lot 🤗

Shoot I watch the funny parts of my own videos all the time lol Also I see you are from twitch as well! I’m finally making the switch from twitch to RUclips. Ive been partnered on twitch for 11 years now. My stream has finally died down… ALOT lol

I have just started my channel - I’ve been writing content for big YT True Crime creators for 2 years and still took so long to get the courage to start my own!
Its so easy to fall off the bandwagon when you get too few views on a video that you spent many hours on. Its hard to find the balance between "Creating something that YOU enjoy creating" and "Creating something that an AUDIENCE will enjoy". I think the key is finding balance between the two. Start with making things that you love, and then fine tune them for everyone else
