Hello and blessings Miss Sandi, I just put together a raised bed with my grandbabies - 7,6, and 3. I wish I had seen this first. I used cardboard and tree limbs and cut grass that had been collected over the months but I'm thinking the garden will be sinking because I didn't use enough. The bed is 2ft high 6ft long and 3ft wide, I used 8 lg.bags of topsoil. Any recommendations if the soil gets too low or is it a complete fail on my part 😮 Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. ~ City slicker 😂😂😂

Hello Sandi, what’s your thoughts on growing blueberries, blackberries, or grapes in this 11-inch bed? Thanks for sharing your experiences and hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.

Tony, I really think the blueberries would work so well as you could regulate the amount of acidic soil in the raised bed. All would work, though the blackberries will probably spread out of the raised bed after a while.

@@suburbanhomesteaderwy-az I was thinking the raised beds because of control of the soil, weeds, water conservation, etc. but Jackie thinks I’m nuts and it’s too expensive. The blackberries and grapes I’d grow on wires or trellis so I could prune and control the shape.
