11:36 In Korea, urban redevelopment is governed by the Act on the Improvement of Urban Areas and Residential Environments. The area you visited, Hannam-3 Redevelopment Zone, has been designated for redevelopment under this law and is currently undergoing development. It is in the very early stages, with the relocation of original residents nearly complete. The area is now nearly deserted, with yellow stickers and red "Do Not Enter" tapes on the doors and windows indicating that it’s vacant and off-limits to outsiders. When residents move out, they often leave unwanted furniture and items by their doors, which demolition companies will clear away along with the buildings. Soon, it will move on to the next phase: demolition. It's a closed-off area now, but once redevelopment is complete, it will transform into a modern high-rise residential complex.
The only sauce for bibimbap was originally soy sauce. It hasn’t been very long since chili became popular in Korea. In fact, old traditional Korean such as traditional korean holiday food uses little seasoning to emphasize the natural taste of the ingredients. In bibimbap, the taste of the vegetables, not the taste of the sauce, is important. That restaurant's bibimbap seems to have too much sauce. Bibimbap is not basically spicy food. Proper bibimbap is full of the taste and aroma of the vegetables, not the spicy sauce.
Hi~ friend~^^ In Seoul.. I recommend you the naksan park (낙산공원) if you have enough time.. The starting point is a dongdae mun subway station ^^ (동대문전철역) Along the Beautiful castle road...beautiful scenery...and then go down the haehwa subway station...^^ and if you have enough time you should go Busan really. The fantastic port city...^^ good luck !! *^^*
I think that whole area :Hannam Dong and the connecting neighborhood except for the mosque and some other important sites have been bought by Hyundai to redeveloped.. Its supposed to turn into a real pricey area.. If you view Mike from Korea: Hanamdong...he explains it better... thats why all the trash n stuff with the red X's everywhere. Im really going to miss that area as I am a Korean American who grew up in that area.
dude...that wall pix of the owner, im pretty sure it was with former prime minister of malaysia - could have been worth checking out the backstory there though
@@TravelingSoloLogs lemme just rephrase that - im guessing that the korean (muslim?) owner was inspired by Mahathir Mohamad, as a world muslim leader (back in the 80s-90s especially). i mean that you could had checked this out, ask the owner or that malaysian waitress - maybe you didnt quite notice Mahathir Mohamad from looking at the pix.
MashAllah great to see that there is a muslim presence and that the community is thriving with its own school. Very lovely tour of the masjid. I think the abandoned area has probably been bought out by land developers. People seem to have been evicted. Thought you would as the Malaysian waitress. Overall nice tour and walkabout!
Thank you watching! Let me know what you think about this area of Seoul! Please don't forget to Subscribe and like the video! 😃
