Adam, I feel for you. A massive 150-year-old California live oak uprooted and fell atop my house in a series of winter storms in January 2023. Thankfully, no people or pets were hurt but the downed tree took out a third of my roof and a fence and destroyed my backyard. I still mourn the loss of that tree, especially after the hottest July on record in my neck of the woods. Glad you and yours are safe!

Really love this group’s energy-y’all bring distinct/unique perspectives to the transits, and complement/support each other well.
And as a card-carrying Mars-Saturn conjunction person, I always appreciate when trad astrologers frame the meeting of the malefics as complex and potentially generative, so my deepest gratitude to y’all for that. We know they’re challenging, but I appreciate that I can turn towards Nightlight to get a more spiritually-complex (not sure how to describe it!) interpretation that highlights the potential for generative outcomes from these transits. So hearing y’all discuss this upcoming square in the way you did feels refreshing…!
I heard someone once describe Saturn-Mars in harsh aspect as having the potential to be the master craftsman, or the 8 of pentacles, and I think that fits: you know that some things take hard work and discipline, but when you persevere thru those challenges, you come out of it with a skill you’ll have for a lifetime. Like, if you sit with and confront the trials and hardships instead of avoiding them, you can learn how to better cope with similar trials in the future; and that’s something that will benefit you for the rest of your life. There’s friction, but that friction might start the fire you need to not just ‘get thru’ a hardship or big change, but to authentically make bigger changes in how you see the world.

As a couple of other commenters noted, I appreciate the complex delineations offered on these talks. Textbook descriptions are true, but they don't capture the nuance and experience in quite the same way. This is my first watching a monthly forecast on nightlight. I usually watch the astrology podcast and while I love Chris and Austin, I loved the different perspectives you added. I will definitely continue watching 🎉

leo rising here with an august 18th birthday.
i am at 10,000 monumental turning points in my life and this birthday has been feeling like a literal rebirth. i am already looking back on my life a few weeks ago and goggling at how unrecognizable things are becoming in the direction of more soulful embodiment. i am ready for the high-contact transit solar return and feeling the potency of what is approaching and becoming.

My 1st grandson is a true Leo sun The personality ! My second grandson was just born during Julys full moon 6 days prior to grandson #1 (brothers ) that 29th degree brought us a cancer sun. Two Leo suns in one house would have been a bit theatrical lol 😂 The Mercury retrograde with cancer and Leo plays right into this ! Interesting 😮
My sister is a Leo rising + stellium and I also have a Leo stellium. Let me tell you it WAS theatrical in our house, but I like to think we put on very, very good plays, sermons, classes, QVC-style presentations, cooking demonstrations, and countless high quality nightly news broadcasts 😹 There's also a Mars retrograde from 6 Dec 2024 - 23 Feb 2025 that will play out from early Leo back through late Cancer! Yes.. it’s a lot. Saturn is on my Jupiter which is my “skipped step”: squaring my sun/Ketu and Rahu.. while Jupiter is now nearly conj my sun/south node.. Pluto transit over my IC and opposite my mars.
Whew… Aries rising here and yeah things are pretty intense. Long story short I have a procedure scheduled for some tooth extractions for a partial denture… that’s tough in itself but it is what it is. My main concern is the potential complications that can come from it due to bone loss. I’m an artist and performer/orator so that’s my biggest concern- that my career in that way is about to be over 😅 I’ve been pushing the procedure off to dive into creating/finishing some things beforehand so if there are any complications at least I have something. Tough cuz I’ve been working on what I want to publish since 2020. Makes me think I should just do it and keep the faith that it’ll be good overall

I really feel for anyone who has gone through the Pluto Venus opposition and everyone who may be experiencing it now, or is definitely going to be experiencing in this lifetime. My Venus Saturn conjunction in Cancer was hit hard several years ago(Saturn 12 degrees and Venus 16 degrees) and it was by far the absolute worst and most horrifying time frame of my entire life as of to date. I am Libra rising, (29 degrees)Leo Sun, Aquarius (full) moon…so with Venus being my actual chart ruler, I am VERY lucky to be alive!🙏 I don’t want to frighten anyone, but please be careful. I also have Pluto and Uranus in Libra and both are in my 12th house, so that adds another disturbing layer to my own personal experience and Venus is also the ruler of my 12th house and 8th house, and Pluto rules my second house, and Mars rules both my 6th and 7th houses. Not everyone will have an experience as soul shocking as my own…but, please be careful, not to the point of crippling paranoia, of course. I suppose I should add that I have Mars in Virgo(exact on my 10th, 11th house cusp), square Neptune Sagittarius with a loose opposition to my Jupiter in Pisces. 29 degrees Sagittarius on 3rd house, 2 degrees Aquarius, my fourth. For all you pro astrologers, I’m sure that’s plenty of information to guess how all that went! Quite a few storylines woven into all that mess!😅. I also made it through Pluto opposing my Mercury in Cancer not too far behind the Venus/Saturn Pluto hit. Anyhow, God bless🙏! I’m turning 50 on August 3rd, and just taking it one day at a time! 😊 (My most severe, and actually, my 3rd dark night of the soul(and hopefully last!)happened during that phase, and I had a NDE, spontaneous Kundalini Awakening, and as result, I am now clairaudient… I was already previously clairvoyant, and now those abilities have been further enhanced. I am visual Artist, stay home Mom and aspiring Astrolger. I didn’t go through a divorce during that transit, btw. Miraculously, my marriage did survive that transit, and my husband and I started dating in 1998 and married in 2003. We’ve been together for quite sometime with two teenage daughters.(who are Taurus’s, btw! My personal favorite sign!❤❤❤). Students who are curious, especially considering my marriage survived the Pluto Venus opposition…my husband is Aquarius rising, Mars in Aquarius conjunct his Ascendant, Aries Sun, Saturn in Cancer as well, Venus in Taurus, with a Scorpio Moon, Jupiter in Pisces. He was born 1975, I was born in 1974 so our outer plants are not too far apart degree wise. He actually has Uranus in Scorpio, though, conjunct his Moon. My Uranus is in late Libra. He is a 3rd generation Mortician/Funeral Director running his Family’s Mortuary…he has an 8th house Pluto, which I’ve always considered very telling of his profession…along with that Scorpio Moon and Uranus conjunction).

Why do I feel like I'm being threatened by male dominated groups. Communication is restricted my kids are missing, I'm threatened and being asked for ransom money. Police won't take reports for my missing children. I keep getting followed. I can't access government offices for help. What is the problem? I'll study what I want. I'm not Muslim or anything against the government so WTF is the problem with finding missing children?
