Items like small size oils, sprays, incense and powders to try are as low as $30. Once you try and like it, then you can invest in a bigger size etc - which can last for years, depending how you use it. You don’t have to know anything about astro magic - you just pick an area you could use a boost in and choose an item to match your intention. The results are sometimes instantaneous, but always pleasant or invigorating, depending. I don’t consider it overpriced considering what I get out of it. In addition, there’s a fun, vibrant online community to discuss the results, tips, support etc. Some people know magic and some know astrology- it is rare to be an expert at both because they take years to learn. In this case, Kaitlin, a trained expert in herbs and magic, creates items with great care during a very short window of time, that Austin, one of the best astrologers of our time, has elected. To me, I think some of the great aspects of Mars in cancer are this enduring attitude when it comes to emotional trials and tribulations. The ability to take on the challenge of emotionally confronting situations and handle close relationships with more strength than cancer by itself would. Maybe it’s my mutual reception talking. Not getting bogged down by other peoples needs. Enthusiasm and taking action about things around your home and people close to you and your life. It’s important to have personal life ambitions even though we qualify so much, Career. Being able to fight for the type of family you want or home you want to build and the tradition do you want to start and maybe break away from and fight against that you were originally raised in. Great episode in these strange times. Comparison with the 'bardo' is profound. There is a similar (but not equivalent) concept in Arabic - and in Islam - "barzakh". In Arabic, regardless of religion ie, it refers to kinds of barriers or spaces, times that divide between one state and another. Eg where a river meets the sea, a state that is uniquely itself, but partaking in different states (which may even have brought it about). Or like the water tornado incident you mention. In Islam, its basically the state between death/burial and resurrection. Very human struggle to 'see into'/bring into human comprehension what is so far beyond full clarity and comprehension. One of the characteristics that makes astrology sooooo interesting! Thanks for this one ❤

As a Mars in Cancer native, I felt (almost uncomfortably) seen as y'all discussed significations. The unintentional overreacting making things worse (this plus my Virgo Moon seems to point to my anxiety and panic disorders 😅); one of my therapists asking me if I've even heard of Highly Sensitive People (HSP) which drives my Mars crazy by being overstimulated or overwhelmed by other ppl's energy; but also the super protective and deeply passionate nature when it comes to the ones I love (this one is amplified by my Scorpio Rising). The pitfall I have learned to watch for is being very mindful about who I spend time with and who gets my energy because it's extremely difficult for me to dial back my love and desire to care for others once you're in that inner circle. This is partially why I love Scorpios and Leos - their loyalty, stability, and ability to commit wholeheartedly echoes this in a encouraging way. And the way I love... I have had almost every person I hug comment on how good they are lol and also it's probably the 'tism but the way I express my care can be a bit "strange" (do you need a granola bar? here's a rock that made me think of you, I got you this bookmark because I saw you folding the corner of your book's pages). Also the tip to fortify rather than freak out... So good. That's why I've done so much therapy lol
Also, realizing this Mars cycle is obviously tied to my partner and I's relationship since it's last retrograde was when we began dating (with me cheating on his best friend oops very Mars retrograde coded tbh). To make matters funnier, that exact friend just moved in with us for a bit while he's in between houses 😅 my partner's a Leo Sun/Scorpio Moon while I'm a Scorpio Rising as I mentioned above. I love the fixed star series/episode consideration! Looking forward to it. I’m feeling a sense of astute conscious attention with bodily presence at this upcoming Mars retrograde cycle. Natal chart has: - Saturn in Cancer 18* (1st WS) - Mars & Jupiter in Aries 18* squaring Saturn (10th) - Mercury (r) in Gemini (12th) sextile Mars/Jupiter. My mantra is balance and highly embodied consciousness. No thought, beginners mind. Allowing that state of clarity & surrender to drive my ship, come what may. An important phrase to remember with Mars modes of “rubber meets concrete at high speeds, with tight cornering and succinct measured start-stops” is to keep in mind, “ships don’t stop when the engines go to neutral. I don't hear much discussion related to the Galactic Center 27° Sagittarius. Melody Reinhart has an interestung article on Astrodienst showing how it is prominent in multiple whistleblower's charts. Also, Neptune has been making a seemingly endless square to the GC (exact at the US election) which appears to be the best signiture I have found with the extreme, irreconcilable political divides continuing to evolve throughout the world. Whistleblowers are some of our only sources of factual information given the propaganda and lack of reliable mainstream journalism.

Back in April I think Austin had predicted that Montreal would have water related issues and accidents due to the totality of the April eclipse and transiting Saturn conjuncting the Montreal MC in Pisces. Besides a lot of flooding in August due to excessive rain in a day a major water main broke and caused a lot of flooding. You can look up the story. I think it happened on Aug 17 around 6 am when the T squares were in effect.

have the same configuration in my natal chart. So the eclipse is going to have Saturn opposing mercury. I have Natal Saturn at Pisces 13 retrograde opposing my mercury at Virgo 10. And you guys are discussing an excellent conversation about what Saturn oppose mercury is like in that Pisces Virgo axis. I can tell you as a writer, it’s phenomenal. The point being is that the editor in me can drill down with that Virgo Mercury. But the Saturn sees the big picture in the Pisces. And I would not trade that configuration for anything. Because a lot of my writer friends can cross their Ts and dot their Is, but they can’t think of good storytelling. And a lot of my storytellers really can’t write a good sentence. And this configuration helps me tremendously.

As always, I really enjoyed your podcast, Chris, so thank you for sharing. As I have Mars in Cancer on my Ascendant (and I'm an Aries Sun), I'd like to add to your discussion of this placement. I have a few but real friends and develop deep feelings for them, although I am somewhat uncomfortable expressing my love and empathy in a sweet and gentle way. My best friend used to complain that when she wanted to talk about her problem and for me to 'listen and support', I would only give her the 'man's advice' (I am a woman) and often be bluntly honest. I struggle to be the kind of friend who would hug you and tell you that everything is going to be fine when I don't feel that way. I see that as pointless when someone is suffering. I feel the urge to find a solution to the problems of people I care about. This is my way of expressing love and compassion. It has been a subject of disagreement in my relationships, but it has also often been appreciated. The same friend used to say to me: "When I go too far in my emotional drama, you are like a hammer that hits me on the head and wakes me up to get out of this sh***t".
My father had Mars in Cancer. That was a very thoughtful explanation of what I simply could not understand, during his lifetime with my Mars in Leo retrograde. I thought he was such a strange combinations of martial, caring, and abrupt behavior. I will say that he was extremely protective of anyone he perceived as weak and part of our family.

Also, realizing this Mars cycle is obviously tied to my partner and I's relationship since it's last retrograde was when we began dating (with me cheating on his best friend oops very Mars retrograde coded tbh). To make matters funnier, that exact friend just moved in with us for a bit while he's in between houses 😅
my partner's a Leo Sun/Scorpio Moon while I'm a Scorpio Rising as I mentioned above. This Mars retrograde will station directly on my Jupiter so I'm pretty excited about it on a personal level tbh. Super interesting to think about! Awesome episode as always!!
My ex wife has Scorpio rising with Pluto conjunct the ascendant. She also has Sun conjunct Mars in Cancer, and moon in Cancer. I almost thought you were her as I read what you typed.

I’m feeling a sense of astute conscious attention with bodily presence at this upcoming Mars retrograde cycle.
Natal chart has:
- Saturn in Cancer 18* (1st WS)
- Mars & Jupiter in Aries 18* squaring Saturn (10th)
- Mercury (r) in Gemini (12th) sextile Mars/Jupiter.
My mantra is balance and highly embodied consciousness. No thought, beginners mind.
Allowing that state of clarity & surrender to drive my ship, come what may.
An important phrase to remember with Mars modes of “rubber meets concrete at high speeds, with tight cornering and succinct measured start-stops” is to keep in mind, “ships don’t stop when the engines go to neutral. I don't hear much discussion related to the Galactic Center 27° Sagittarius. Melody Reinhart has an interestung article on Astrodienst showing how it is prominent in multiple whistleblower's charts. Also, Neptune has been making a seemingly endless square to the GC (exact at the US election) which appears to be the best signiture I have found with the extreme, irreconcilable political divides continuing to evolve throughout the world. Whistleblowers are some of our only sources of factual information given the propaganda and lack of reliable mainstream journalism.

Around 40 minutes in, y'all were talking about the U.S. Pluto return. It was mentioned that Harris hasn't made much of her race and gender even though these say something about the progress of our country. I think the fact that, ideally, race, gender, etc. SHOULDN'T be an issue might say the most about progress. Here's to hope.🥂

Back in April I think Austin had predicted that Montreal would have water related issues and accidents due to the totality of the April eclipse and transiting Saturn conjuncting the Montreal MC in Pisces. Besides a lot of flooding in August due to excessive rain in a day a major water main broke and caused a lot of flooding. You can look up the story. I think it happened on Aug 17 around 6 am when the T squares were in effect.

have the same configuration in my natal chart. So the eclipse is going to have Saturn opposing mercury. I have Natal Saturn at Pisces 13 retrograde opposing my mercury at Virgo 10. And you guys are discussing an excellent conversation about what Saturn oppose mercury is like in that Pisces Virgo axis. I can tell you as a writer, it’s phenomenal. The point being is that the editor in me can drill down with that Virgo Mercury. But the Saturn sees the big picture in the Pisces. And I would not trade that configuration for anything. Because a lot of my writer friends can cross their Ts and dot their Is, but they can’t think of good storytelling. And a lot of my storytellers really can’t write a good sentence. And this configuration helps me tremendously.

The last time that Mars had a similar retrograde from Leo to Cancer was from 12 December 1977 at 11Leo33 to 2 March 1978 at 22Cancer16.
I saw the symbolism of the glyph of Aquarius at the Full Moon in the water spout yacht accident and its imagery of the water bearer pouring a spout of water into the sea.
The billionaire was also having his exact Saturn return trining natal Neptune.

I have a few but real friends and develop deep feelings for them, although I am somewhat uncomfortable expressing my love and empathy in a sweet and gentle way. My best friend used to complain that when she wanted to talk about her problem and for me to 'listen and support', I would only give her the 'man's advice' (I am a woman) and often be bluntly honest. I struggle to be the kind of friend who would hug you and tell you that everything is going to be fine when I don't feel that way. I see that as pointless when someone is suffering. I feel the urge to find a solution to the problems of people I care about. This is my way of expressing love and compassion. It has been a subject of disagreement in my relationships, but it has also often been appreciated. The same friend used to say to me: "When I go too far in my emotional drama, you are like a hammer that hits me on the head and wakes me up to get out of this sh***t".
My father had Mars in Cancer. That was a very thoughtful explanation of what I simply could not understand, during his lifetime with my Mars in Leo retrograde. I thought he was such a strange combinations of martial, caring, and abrupt behavior. I will say that he was extremely protective of anyone he perceived as weak and part of our family.
