@@Brennaneggers Wow, that's pretty massive. I saw some pics... very low bf% too. Doesn't surprise me as shoulder press working sets like this are not within the realm of possibility for a typical sub-200 lb bodybuilder.
@@scottrc5391 I’ll need to record with my buddy. He blows me out of the water on presses, he rarely trains and has the same bodyweight/build. He is a legit elite presser at 235. Stay tuned! I gotta get his butt in the gym lol
@@angel_1911 I just posted my first time trying standing overhead press. Give me a few weeks to get the technique down and let’s see what it builds up to! Thanks for the inspiration.
@@markceaser8073 You can cheat on standing but generally most people are able to do more weight seated. The extra musculature you need to do standing, including engaging the legs, apparently doesn't allow you to fire those shoulder muscles quite as much.
You come across really well on camera; you explain and execute the movement well.

This puts your estimated 1RM at elite level for any bodyweight below 230. So the question is, what is your weight? I'd guess about 250.
@@scottrc5391 I’ve been weighing an average 238-240 in the mornings at 5’9

has it carried over to a stronger bench?
@@jmartinez19944 when I used to bench, it definitely did but I don’t bench anymore

@@angel_1911 I don’t really like the standing version lol
@@Brennaneggers agreed, standing one can really cheat. That's why it was dropped from the Olympics.
@ I did however toss overhead press in after my chest day. I’ll give it a go and try to get better at it
