It’s a real profession, that is not for everyone. One has to be tall, slim , certain body parameters, unique facial features and an artistic talent to be on runway to present.

What a strange award. I’m not saying Shalom doesn’t deserve it but what gave VH1 the right? Hell, in 1995 VH1 was still a soft rock/pop music video channel. It would have made more sense, but not complete sense, if MTV gave her this award. Especially since MTV used to do House of Style. Like if Vogue or the Council of Fashion Designers gave this out yearly, it would be more prestigious.
