16:20 it supports high refresh rates, but NO Free Sync! I bought this dock because it has DP, HDMI and Ethernet, but sadly VRR is not working. Therefore I bought a smaller dock which has less ports but Free Sync!
@@diegonogueira180 Cable Matters USB C Hub DisplayPort 1.4 klappbar, mit 4K 144 Hz/8K 60 Hz und HDR, 2X USB 1x USB-C, 100 W Host-Laden, Schwarz, kompatibel mit Thunderbolt 4/USB4, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, XPS Surface Pro
Do you feel the difference when connected to a monitor (with the dock that doesn't support Freesync)? Like do you actually feel the screen tearing or something?
@@rwtia64 Yes, it was unbearable on my MSI Optix G27C4 165hz screen. I had the JSAUX 7in1Dock which has all the ports you need, but FreeSync doesn't work on that Dock. This made me dive deeper into the amazon reviews and I found only one adapter that supports it (to my knowledge). Sadly it only has the features I listed above, but FreeSync is just necessary on these low-end devices.
My only worry about these things is if it gets cool enough to put frost on the plate, wouldn't that also translate to moisture forming inside the unit? The real bonus I could see with the ally tho is def the SD card issue they have
@@viraltribe4566 The HDMI slot likely doesn't support it. I think they made a compromise. At the end of the day, 100 W isn't a lot to power an ethernet cable, 3 usb devices and a 4K screen, especially if the rog ally itself already demands 65 watts. Also, neither the steamdeck, nor the ally will be able to run games at 4K 240 hz. Maybe an older game at 4K 144 hz, but that's about it.
@@sloesty I see. Hdmi 2.0 is able to do 1080p@240 tho, so I'm just thinking why it won't show on windows. There are many games that ally could do 240hz, like league of legends etc.
I love these raw reviews, keep on keeping on!

This thing runs hogwards legacy better than my main PC which has a 1080ti. I know my cpu is a bit of a bottleneck, but still. This is impressive.

What charger do you use to get 30watt on rog ally?original rog charger?
can it run 120hz monitor?
It can run 1080p120Hz which is perfect for the Ally. It cannot handle 4k120.
@@RypperGaming How it is not able to do 1080p144hz or 240hz?
