Alexis just kept messing with Sam. Sam was trying to steer clear of Jason and trying to make Alexis happy but Alexis just kept hammering Sam. I could see why Sam slept with Ric. When I look back at these episodes I’m not even mad at Sam. I hated that she slept with Ric because Ric is scum but not because Alexis was married to him. Alexis was wrong in this situation. Look at how Kristina grew up.

When Alexis was talking about the file that went missing, was that the file that Liz shredded?
Alexis was wrong to have Carly try to break up Jason and Sam, however, she is right on a lot of Jason‘s stuff, and she was doing what she thought was best to try to keep Sam safe knowing at that point that Sam was her daughter. Do I agree that she should’ve had Jason arrested for no apparent reason as well as Elizabeth, Epiphany, and Patrick? No, but Carly is no saint and she needed to let Sam figure out what her relationship with Jason would be like if they were going to have a relationship at all. Obviously, we know the end result, but still. I am still team Alexis here. Yes, she’s controlling. That’s a Cassadine treat, but that never meant that she pushed Sam into being a lawyer. That was Sam’s choice. She just wanted to help Sam because Sam wanted a job.
At that point, Sam and Jason had been broken up for a while, so the whining about how her heart is telling her something different than what her brain is telling her was ridiculous. I get it that break ups are hard, but Jason was still very much alive and she needed to except it no matter what. She was acting like Jason was dead.
Alexis wasn’t being a mother but she was being controlling and condescending. She was always putting Sam down and making Sam feel bad. Sam should have stood up to Alexis and she should have moved out. Alexis thought that Sam should have just gotten over Jason and that’s not how love works. Sam was not just going to get over Jason overnight. Alexis was a bully to Sam. Sam needed to have her own independence from Alexis and Jason. I wish the writers would have had Sam maybe leave Port Charles for awhile and figure out what she wanted it.
I love this storyline and love how alexis want to keep her daughter safe from Jason!
So did Sam really take those important files? Or was it someone else?
