Let me know what video you want to see next!
How to read greens! Looking at slopes, grain, cuts, different grass, etc
Hitting long irons would be a great tutorial video!
An interesting one would be what you’re thinking about when opening and closing the face and how you go from draws , cuts, straight, slice, hook etc.
Another vote for long irons!
would love to see you caddy for a mid/high handicap and help them break 80/90/100/etc.
Perfect timing because I have a tee time at 3pm and will no doubt have at least 18 of these 😂
Let us know how you play!
I feel that!
So just a quick 9 😂
Just 18? Good luck friend
I shot an 88.. weekend warrior with no practice here. Didn't have any bad lies ....just bad shots. 😅
I love how Grant acts surprised when he’s hitting great shots from these lies, like he hasn’t played golf for years 😂 love it
I was just going to say the same thing lmao
Good stuff. Appreciate Grant not only showing hole outs from each spot. Feel like it’s easier to learn more from the bad ones than the good ones.
Id love more videos like this explaining the thoughts behind shots and lies. This is so overlooked in golf lessons it’s not all about swing but knowing the setup and decisions before making a shot. Keep killing it!
Really helpful tips in a concise format. Great vid Grant.
Legitimately the best and most valuable teaching video I have seen. Could not have asked for a better video. Truly helps us weekend warriors!!
Great video! Something you can rewatch over and over again and still learn something!
Please do a video on reading greens!!
Yess
Always appreciate these teaching videos
Really good teaching, thoughtful & helpful for me
Excellent tutorial!!!! Definitely good info on the uphill/downhill lies where I have trouble. Ty
Definitely will be referring back to this on the course, also just got my Arccos excited to get them set up and see how they work!
About to play. Thanks, Grant! If possible, I'd love you to do a video where you talk about putting and another about golf etiquette.
Great video! I just sent it to a few people that I think it will help. It's nice to have a reference video like this. One suggestion for a vid like this would be to have chapters so you can go between them easily to find the type of shot you need to check.
Good video Grant, an explanation club selection and the clubs you were using might of been the icing on the cake
love all the videos! so so helpful can you post some tips on how to time your swing up and focus on the transition
Thank you for making this
Very helpful. Many thanks Grant.
Great stuff thanks
Great topic Grant! thank you
Great instructional video. I love the way you explain what to do and then execute the shot.
I never figured out how to hit some of these shots and now I have them memorized in my head.
I just need to practice them now to really get the technique down so that I can execute on the course.
Thanks Grant for taking the time to help us with our golfing.
How about some Fairway Woods instruction?
Hitting from the fairway and the tee shot with them.
Great video Grant, made it easy to understand
Thank you so much, great video !!!! Thanks from Germany
Great video!
Would love to see a video on what you practice on the driving range. If you have a formula you use on the range. EX: warm-ups, shot shapes, what do you look for in practicing.
I always learn something new from these videos 😁
Love these videos, thank you for your input and teaching, the value is immense.
I have all of a sudden caught a case of the heel shanks. You are the only person I take swing tips from (I have designed my swing off all your teachings dating back to Good Good Labs, and only been golfing for 3 years, I’m now in my mid 20’s), so I wanted to know if there’s anything in the setup or swing that is causing me to feel like I need to reach to the ball, causing all my hozzles recently?
Thanks again, Grant!
brother you made the video i asked for!! thank you big G!
Thanks a lot, Grant. You are absolutely 💯 the best!
Congrats on 100k subs!!!🎉🎉
Awesome tips 😎 I'm curious about what wedges to use for some of these shots. Should I bring in the bounce factor for my wedges too?
Grant, Great video , love this new instructional video. Always looking to better my game ….Fun to watch. Keep them coming. Do a video on Driving. I admit I bought the wrong Driver and it’s hard to hit. I’m 9 handicap looking to get better. Any advice ?
This time of year a lot of you golfers are out west (AZ, TX, CA, etc...) One thing we run into a lot is hard packed mud especially on more affordable courses where the rough isn't managed as well as the fairway. How would you approach the thicker mud shots, like the cart path shot basically? I think it was one of your earlier videos on toe hooking which I love for chipping, but that's probably not advised for say an approach shot. Thanks, love these videos I save them in my bookmarks and go back to them when I run into a snag in my game!
Grant, need a video on how to hit ball then turf. How to take a proper divot after the ball.
Congrats on a 100k subscribers! Great channel to watch before a round
I’ve gotten more serious about my game the last four years. This year will be 20 years since losing my arm. Your tips have been so helpful! Thank you!
So glad to hear you haven't given up on golf much less life after such a loss. On a lighter note, if I've not played in a while I feel like my limbs belong to someone else.
I love when someone asks me what my handicapped is 😂😂
Thank grant I like these videos. Hopefully I can put them in to practice. First thou, how can I stop topping the ball.
i think the videos where you are helping amateurs and higher handicappers fix swing faults in a live lesson are the best. its easier to see cause and effect for majority of golfers.
These are great. Would love a video about some rules. How Lateral Hazards play, lost ball vs unplayable lies...
Something I have found handy with shots around the green is a wedge with a low MOI. The deader the clubface, the more control.
Great video Grant
Thanks Tom
Grant, great video! Can you talk about feet and ball position in your stance along with each shot?
Do a video about golf etiquette! Also want to know about putting spin on the ball for approach shots!
good advice man ill take it. please do a video on how to fix a hook
Great video, Grant! In the greenside rough, where are your weight distribution and arm angle? Thx.
Great stuff, should include what degree wedges you’re using for the shots.
I've been working on my grip and setup, noticed I get better results when I grip the middle of the grip instead of the end of it with each club. My thinking when I tried it was strictly for above and below feet hits, I could potentially grip up or down accordingly!
Great video, I have a question. Would you change clubs base on the lie you have, or stick with the club you feel comfortable with? Thanks
Great Eggsplaination.
Thank grant, does this apply when full swinging irons as well?
Grant, could you do one about how you choose which wedge you use from like 20 yards and in and what thoughts you have going on to making those decisions depending on lies, and pin placements etc?
grant is excited like a child when he pulls off a nice golf shot, u just cant hate the man
Link to hat! That’s what we need.
Champion level stuff here bro
What about from the deep ruff in the fairway? Club selection, ball placement, steep?
Need one for a tight, wet lie. Winter golf is tough!
Now you tell me. I just came out of a very windy round here at riverbend course in Utah. 88. My worst shots were when I was trying to get fancy and try a swing I didn’t have practiced
Great video , Grant can you make a video of a shot 120-140 yard shot and trully explain how you guys set up , how you hit it , how you place the club to have back spin. Side angle of how the club looks on the ball. There’s no video on RUclips like that . They are all from short. Thank you
0:53 absolutely love the golf balls
Slow motion swings and impacts at the ball might help illustrate the concept.
Grant, I think it would have been valuable to, 1. Show the club impacting the ball, particularly on the shots from the rough, to know if it's descending or bouncing the club up into it, 2. Know what club works best from each situation. Uphill lies are quite different from downhill and, for high handicappers, that can be difficult to make that adjustment.
Looking forward to more of these teaching videos.
New to golf been golfing for a month. My hand placement is right and the club is in the fingers and all, but is there a reason the top of my left hand aches and go to worst? Non dominant hand) is it because I’m new to golf? Same with lower back
I’ve heard some wild things about Florida but I never expected them to use that for their cart paths.
“At some point in your golf career you will end up in one of these positions”. Me ending up in every single bad lie in one round 😂😂
How do you hit off asphalt so when it’s in the road or cart path or parking lot
It would have been nice to get tips on how to adjust club selection for the downhill and uphill lies.
I'm left handed, so I'm wondering with the ball above or below my feet do I aim the opposite direction or the same direction you were teaching in this lesson?
Grant, I completed my first golf and dyslexia podcast. interesting stuff
early congrats on 100k subs for this channel man!
Do you go up or down a club if you are hitting down/up slope?
Sums up my standard round.
Perhaps the same but with longer irons. Those are where the problems really kick in.
Every time I allow for the slope it goes dead straight and when I don't, it moves a bunch. 🤣
Do you lean with the slope when you take a full swing?
Yes sir
u should add in slow mo shots of the shots so its easier to see. the differences
4:45 When you open your club face do you actually change hand position? or are you just rolling your wrists to open it up?
Just do what grant did on the 4th at Bethpage. Grab the ball from the roots and tee it up on top of the grass.
Grant, there is only one "c" in escape. Not ecscape. And no X in especially. Great video. Thanks.
When is this black hat with the GOLF patch available at Primo? This hat is sick!
I just want to know where I can find that Primo hat
Sick hat! Is it taylormade?
How do I hit it out of the fairway? Never been there before
We all know Sadie is new to golf. But doing a video with your wife trying these shots is a realistic idea. Most people are not as good as you. No disrespect to your wife. Excellent video, thanks 🏌️♂️
So if I am a left handed golfer, is this ball below my feet and ball above my feet going to be reversed from how it would come out for you as a right handed golfer?
What about a downhill and ball beneath your feet at the same time? I feel like this is the most difficult shot for me and I tend to have it quite often at my home course.
Grant you are a fantastic player! I truly believe if you ever decided to go full time into golf instruction you would be a top 100 teacher! But you might have to take a pay cut! 😂
For less than stellar courses, how do you play out of greenside bunkers that have very little or packed sand more like the cart path sand you showed? Picking it clean from 4 yards is tough and there isn't enough sand to play it like a regular bunker shot. Maybe that can't be fixed and for recreational rounds consider it GUR?
I think most of us need this more than how to hit out of the fairway.. spend more time in these spots 😂
Where’d you get that hat?
You're a funny guy Grant. You said that at one point in your golf game you will be faced with one of these shots. How about every game??? lol
i like the shirt you have on this video. when does that come out?
RUclipsrs like yourself improves your lies all the time .
The best way to hit out of these lies is to pick it up and give yourself a good one
Talk to us about Bermuda lies!
You think you could start talking through which club to use and when and where?
Do you notice a high pitch ring with your arccos or are mine messed up
What about chipping off of super hard ground? I mostly play at public courses so the rough isn't really treated the same as a tournament level course. Ill have like a 30 yard chip but the ground the ball is sitting on will be rock hard. These are my worst shots... I know they are going to be bad before I even take them. My club always just bounces off the ground and sculls the ball.
I’ve found that with those shots I like to feel like my trail arm is much more active than my lead arm. Like I’m pushing the club through with my trail arm. And u also have to open the face to expose the bounce and pick it clean.
With ball on a downhill slope more or less loft club? Uphill slope slope, same question.
Fried egg I just take the ball out and place it lol
