- This week's episode of the TEAM NEVER QUIT podcast we have special guests Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher and wife Andrea. Eddie is a highly-decorated combat veteran with nine deployments to war zones in Africa, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He joined the Navy at age 19 and in 2014 was named the Sailor of the Quarter and then Sailor of the Year for NSW Group One. His wife, Andrea has been his biggest advocate and has maintained that her husband is innocent and made sure the world knew his side of the story. She spearheaded the #FreeEddie campaign on Twitter and had her friends help her.

I have so much reverence for Andrea. She is the true example of unstoppable unconditional strength and loyalty. We need more women like her in our country and she is such a great role model for our daughter's. Thank you so much for your service.

Now you asked what he admitted to. He admitted to killing the kid who was unarmed and unconscious(after he was acquitted so now he can't be charged twice for the same crime). He killed WHATEVER, but now knowing how he took that disgusting photo. Lied in court and attacked his subordinates(that reported him) slandered their name by calling them liars and cowards, and it turns they were telling the truth( in this this incident particular). You ask about the evidence well boy I baited you for a reason go and watch the link. I used to bore people with my sea stories and professed love for my Navy. The USN leadership has almost killed that. I love my brothers and sisters who serve but the Department of the Navy can kiss my bass.

The military actually done a study on beards. They found having facial hair alerted the soldier to danger sooner than without.

It's fucking sad that our soldiers Marines sailors and airmen can get sent to jail for killing terrorists.

The 1st time I heard about Eddie story was on this Podcast when his wife (Andrea) was on it and he was still locked up I've heard the story probably 15 times since then and each time it pisses me off even more. Looking forward to the book!

Same here! From a Military family but the last 5 yrs political insanity has certainly put the Military in an increasingly unfavorable light- The high port not the soldiers and the current admin is making the military look weak!

I did 9 months on a 1 year sentence, it took me 3 and 1/2 months to accept that "I live here now" after 3 weeks in lockdown, I asked for a rule book cuz I threw the first one away!!! I feel ya Eddie

Eddie sacrificed so much for this country and he deserves respect. And in my opinion, he’s a great leader. Leaders aren’t always nice and soft. Sometimes they have to be hard on the people who look up to them in order to show them how to do things. My best to you Eddie.

I had really hoped to hear a nod of thanks to President Trump in this interview. I just thought it would have been appropriate seeing how he is being accused falsely as well. It really points out the corruption at all levels of the government and how it never takes responsibility for doing anything wrong.

I agree that initially, I only saw articles about him being a war criminal. The media is extremely deceptive, so I didn’t make up my mind right away. This is the first podcast I’ve seen about him, and although interesting, I feel like it doesn’t give enough background to people who are new to the story, but it does do a good job showing how they felt going through it. I hope that they can change the UCMJ- the idea that you give up your rights when you join the military seems like nonsense that they’ve gotten people to believe. And I also see the parallels between this story and what happens to cops and people who defend themselves- they aren’t afforded due process and the process is the punishment. Look at Derek Chauvin, who was demonized without people knowing the full story, seeing the video, or seeing the coroner’s report. His wife doesn’t seem to have stuck with him like Gallagher’s wife did either.

I don’t know much about Eddie but recently become interested in his story. I’ve watched several interviews and there are two things that I’m fairly certain of:
1) Ed pissed somebody off big time.
2) He pissed someone off real bad.
No, Just some butt hurt pussys that never should have made it threw BUDS. However the Navy relaxed there BUDS standards in about 2010. About the time the Millennials started showing up and couldn't compete with the previous standards for Team guys expectations. This is exactly what I've heard FIRST HAND from multiple Team Guys. ( I have a family member in this community)

Eddie I'm sorry the system let you down. I remember hearing about how your wife moved mountains a few years ago.
My hearts breaks , knowing stuff like that can happen. I've experienced it too , although I was never a SEAL I did serve 8 yrs in the Airforce. My command didn't let me down though , it was my home town and the courts here. Long story short the mailing system had incorrect names attached to my property and the wrong person was getting my tax notice. I went to court and they called me the wrong name the entire time. It was obvious what happened but no one accepted responsibility. I was paying taxes every year but only on the double wide, never the land itself. I didn't know I had 2 payments to make. They sent it to the wrong people. I fell through the cracks and no one cared.
Thank God Eddie finally got some sort of justice.. now i’m not a Team guy ,i was a Army Airborne guy , but i draw inferences from all of this. But i have to say it seems to me the biggest keyboard warriors are the ones that never served , that never stood for anything other than criticizing those of us that signed that blank check to our country. I think what happened to Eddie only deters the people that are “Capable” of being in the teams or specialized M.O.S’s in the military are going to avoid it because of their country turning on them for doing the difficult things it takes to keep our country free. Then what are they going to do? Who they gonna get then ? There will be nobody that has the mental and physical capacity to do the job willing to do it and have the potential of having to spend the rest of their days in a prison cell.. If we die in combat i was always good with that ,its part of the job, but to spend it in a cell , naa no way , not a acceptable out come. So to Eddie and his wife God bless you both glad you made it threw the other side..
