- Hello, cozy gamers! Moonstone Island releases today and I've been playing non-stop! I've actually played over 6 hours now in the past two days. So, I thought I'd put together this video, sharing some tips & tricks I wish I'd known when I first started playing and some things I've learned along the way!
I was lucky enough to receive an early code from Raw Fury! But, this does mean this video is now an Ad per CPA's new influencer guidance. But this was not a paid partnership and all views are my own.
About the game: Moonstone Island is a creature-collecting life-sim set in an open world with 100 islands to explore. Make friends, brew potions, collect Spirits, and test your strength in card-based encounters to complete your Alchemy training!

D'oh, I made the mistake of taming 3 Spirits before I finished Zed's quest but it was OK. When it came to taming the lvl 5 Spirit, I just let it go and then I just had to give my research to Zed. I didn't need to keep the lvl 5 Spirit, I just needed to tame it.

I've been playing for a few days now, and since it's a recently released game, there's much on the wiki. One thing I missed was the statue, I did get the flute, but I hadn't realized you can kind of praise it? to get a reward the next day, pretty useful to get some seeds and other stuff early game.
I recently bought this game during Steam’s winter sale and I’m obsessed!! Can’t put it down! Can’t wait for it to come to Switch! Tysm for this video!

You can smelt 15 ore at once tooling 3 bars. It's not limited to 3 ore equaling one bar, so you have to re-load the furnace every hour. Every 3 in-game hours you will but the furnace can hold up to 15 ore and 100 coal

Im exploring the island, but im new to this kind of games actually i liked the art and the fact that is kind of pokemon-ish, im trying to make money by selling iron to buy better tools right now (day 5)

Just started this game and WOW. I wondered I found a hot spring in an area and was like whoa. Didn’t realize there was one on our island. These videos are so useful. Can’t remember if I got the hidden chest in the first dungeon oops🤣 Can I go back?? I don’t even remembered how I originally got there. Maybe the first island I went to.
on your first letter your mom gave you there is a tip there that you can create bridge wherever you want and it actually fun when you only have the slow balloon at the start cuz you can build shortcuts in town or make a bridge to the next island XD
I just got the game and now I just want to make giant bridges🤣🤣
This game is really underrated. But the NPCs are really unnecessary and quite boring. Perhaps the developer should get rid of them or add some new features to them.
also, you can buy seeds at the shop, then turn around and sell them at the other shop for profit if you're in a bit of a money pickle. ;3

Have you figured out where or how to get a compost so we can make the different fertilizers we unlock in the skill tree? D:>
At some point your mom asks you to make a Potion of Abundance (must have an alchemy table and finished the previous potion request from her). You get the recipe for a compost bin as a reward for that quest.
what if i accidentally make farmland with a hoe? is there a way i can remove it to turn back into regular grass?
Use the hammer on it
As Aiyanna_w said, you can clear any tilled land with your hammer!
Gardening question, if I use the hoe to make a plot, but its in the wrong spot, how do I remove that, playing on switch btw for answering with controls
You just need to hit it with the hammer and that’ll cover it back up again ☺️

I'm in summer now but my moonstones dis not respawn. Will they respawn on the exact day that I picked them up in spring?
I’m not sure sorry! I was told by the dev team that they do respawn during each season, but I haven’t played enough to experience it myself.

can someone tell me why i cant tame spirits above level 5?
Because there’s a skill tree and you need to unlock a skill that lets you lane creatures above that level
Hey, a question: I can't tame some of the level 6 water spirits and it says this is because of my level but my 3 spirits are all level 11. Do you know what the problem is?
There’s a skill tree and you have to unlock a skill to tame spirits over level 5

Hello, have you noticed any of the spirits respawning?
They do just not in caves it would seem? In the world they spawn heavily especially if you change settings
Yes they definitely respawn! I actually had an issue where I kept trying to flee and teleport home, but I must have been stood on the spawn spot because the minute I got out of battle, I got pulled straight back into one 😅

What do you do about thorns especially when they are blocking the way to a chest?
Every time I’ve encountered thorns, I just needed to fly around them. Sometimes it can be quite a roundabout route but you can usually find a way there 😅
use the hammer but take lots of stamina
i chop them with the scythe or axe
I just take an axe to them. XD
Hello do Trees regrow or are there tree seeds?
Trees don’t respawn but the devs have said you can craft trees. I don’t know how to yet though!!

Hi there, how do you turn your tent into a house? I don't know where to find the blueprint
You can upgrade it at Paolo’s carpentry store to add extra rooms, if that’s what you mean?
@Cozygamingclub I found those upgrades yes, but I think they only can be used once you have the actual house placed first. "To craft an Alchemist House, you’ll need to obtain 150x Wood, 150x Stone, and 3x Moonstone Ingots." You place it on the island, just like you did for the tent, but the blueprint isn't in my moonstone enchanter... don't know where to find it 😕
Sorry for misunderstanding! I have it in my Moonstone Enchanter so I’m not sure why you don’t. Potentially you need to find the recipe in one of the dungeon chests? But I’m not 100% sure, sorry.
@Cozygamingclub no problem at all! I'll keep exploring the dungeons and see what I get :D the moment I find out, I'll post it back here so we can all find out haha.
You do have to find the blueprint but surprisingly I haven’t yet even with 25hrs in the game 😅. You can get the treehouse and lighthouse fairly quickly though. I wish I remember how I got them though.
