FIRST NIGHT CRAWL using new LED ROCK LIGHTS w/ 6 modes and 56 LED LIGHT BARS=RC TRAILS BLINDING Fun!

This episode features the newly installed LED Rock lights and horizontal light bars as they embark on their first night crawl in which visibility was not an issue at all making the night packed with good fun and great results. The LED ROCK LIGHTS proved to be a cheaper and much easier install than the factory rock lights offered up by Traxxas. With Redcat not offering rock lights it became a must to figure out how to address putting them on the GeN8 v2 chassis and supplying power to them and even having them set up with power on and off using the transmitters on the current rigs. Each rig features their own 6 channel receiver/transmitters with the TRX4 using the Flysky GT5 and the Gen8 using the new DumboRc unit respectively. Each Rock Light kit features two LED strips with a programmed chip that lets you choose from solid LED to flashing, strobe, fade, slow strobe , fast flashing and three flash burst modes creating any cool setting you’d like for showing off or having it set on solid for tackling the trails and rocks. These lights are water proof and come on a strand about 14” in length. They have 3M VHB compound on the side your putting the strip on. Just make sure that your surface is prepped really well and you shouldn’t have amy issues at all. But when In doubt super glue is always a go to or I’ve even found Alien Tape to work out amazingly in a pinch. These lights have a Y cable the brings both LED strips together with the light mode chip and they plug right into your receiver in channel 4,5 or 6. This entire kit can be purchased on Amazon for $8 for the LED strips that come with two strips of your color choices being red and blue, green and blue, red and white. The Horizontal roof light is a 56 LED light that is adjustable up or down depending on your rig and where you mount it. It also can be purchased on Amazon for $15. The only thing you would need is the inline remote power on off switch giving you the ability to turn the lights on and off right from your controller. These lights produce more than adequate lighting for any trail or rock crawling adventure. These lights also do not drain down your battery and we still see easily 25-35min trail/rock climbing using our 3s Lipo 5200mah 80C batteries.
