- Getting into more specifics of your astrology chart! Learn how to read the degrees and minutes of the planets, and why they are important to understand for the slow-moving planets or planets in retrograde. It's also important for connecting the planets with the Sabian Symbols, which give further meaning to each of the 360 degrees of the zodiac.

Fantastic information you've shared here thank you! For the Sabian symbols I prefer the Twinkle Twinkle website for degree interpretations, they are much less fatalistic and much more empowering rather than fear-based.

Uranus is 2 degrees in Taurus by 8 minutes RX. You said it was in cancer. Did you mean Cancer?

fantastic degree translation ,but still confused about (Rx )retrogade planets
Molly, I was wondering if you could address each the energy of each actual degree. Like for instance I have heard if someone has a planet in 1 degree then they are actually taking in the energy of Aries even though the planet might be in like Taurus. I’m interested in learning like what kind of energies of 13-29 degrees. I think I understand 29 degrees because it tends to have exhalted energy of the sign it’s in.

i have my mars at 24.40 as was always thinking this dosnt fits me cuz im a huge fighter. now it make sense. i round up to 25 degree thats ariesdegee
My chart is loaded with 29*. Pisces rising 29*29' , Midheaven 29*45' Sag, and Pluto 29*51' in Leo. So basically my whole chart is based on this critical degree. My Aqua sun is 1*22' and Jupiter retro at 1*45' Libra. Question: Rising sign starts the first house ,correct? Then my 12th house would be Pisces(the other 29 degrees of it ) OR is Aquarius my 12th house even though my sun is at 1 degree? I've been over this a zillion times and still can't be sure, Thanks for any info.

Trippy AF to hear you say this is why your birth time is important while pointing a pen at the 9 degree and 16 degree Sun and Moon. My birth day is Sep 16 (9/16)
Molly, when there is a lesser degree in a sun sign does that mean it will be lesser of the person's traits for that sign? And of course the opposite of the lesser. Does having more time in a sign deepen the characteristics and traits ? i.e.born at 20 degree leo sun will only carry less than 10 degrees of leo?
If I have confused you I can try to explain better.

Thank you for this! How do we read the minutes in a Solar Return chart? I have Venus at 17 degrees and 57 minutes which is right next to my SR Ascendant at 18 degrees and 29 minutes.
MOLLY: So, I have Mercury 29 degree 53 minutes Gemini....is it then rounding to 0 degrees Cancer?? Most software's would say my mercury is in Gemini....Can I say it is really in Cancer then?? ( Gemini - In the 10th house)

2,100 hrs - in 4 years and that's a way conservative estimate.
(I have 2 disease/disorders that cause "Short-term Memory Loss" - occasionally I have little recall and sometimes I have very good recall - Repetative efforts are occasionally key.

At any rate - I have my BA in Journalism, Sociology, and Minor in History -
I've logged eaual amount of Research Hours in 2 other subjects - Ancient History and Personality Disorders - along with my Astrology studies - its like my full-time job - I've been unable to work for several years and these efforts help give me - "purpose" - although I began Astrology completely Green in 2015 - I mean, I had no clue about the History of Astrology and or even the Question of: "How the Ancients managed to gain such vast knowledge?"
That is spooky! Ancient Vedics were Boss - and I'm sure the Egyptians, Sumerians, and even the Ancient "Lineage that became the Irish - Basques and the Celts" were equally as proficient. (Few know that at the time and even post St Patrick - many - many - traveled to Ireland and stayed there in Religious Studies of the "more original Catholic/Christian studies - Monks galore"
Tragic that so much of our Histories globally are either lost or more often - altered to fit "the Mainstream Stories" fabricated for the global mastering of the Masses - Mass Public - no Church Mass, ha lol !
Here I go on my "Thought Visual Soapbox": (lol - It's a positive Visual and "Thoughts are Energies that keep on dancing around the Universe and these are 💫❤💫 for all *"the People, Puppies, Plants and Planet Earth"*
I've a Vision of such Harmony with Emerged Truths/Facts - and all the blessings that come when folks know - there are such greater gifts they've yet to imagine and they carry them within, all their Life Journey. The fears, Guilts, doubts - not wanting to think of "Life after - 40 or after Life" these subjects become balanced with the greater understanding of Soul and with the actual, more authentic - texts - the "Nag Hamadi Library" and the History Facts. Jesus teaching the very subject facts and some 2000 years before Quantum Physics discovered - the LOA, pretty exciting, loving, and very comforting.
The potential goodness, joy, and happiness that is emerging now through these facts are exactly when, where, and how - Humanity Discovers Cooperation, Harmony, and PEACE.
There is no Mountain too tall for a Collective of Minds/Hearts/Movement - creating the subject of their Desires.
We have the Ruby Slippers - we need only apply in collective numbers as low as 3. Imagine -
We truly have the Divine Energies of God that encompass our efforts, deliver our "ask" and surround our physical selves and Soul Energies - protecting us in any/every effort - especially one that is directly related to "The Positive Lifting of the Collective for the Advancements in support of the Evolving of Mankind"

What's the significance of minutes in astrology other than round up? Hard to answer 😆
I don’t get this. If one degree is 60 mins should it not take a planet 60 minutes to go through 1 degree? Why does it take Neptune a whole month?
So if my moon is in cancer at 27 degrees and 59 mins it should change degree in one minute real time, no? I’m lost lol
Hey, not sure if you ever got an answer to this question but I struggled with that originally too. Minutes and seconds in relation to degrees aren’t the same as minutes and seconds in relation to time. Both are a math term for breaking up a larger unit into 60 smaller units. So in time, we break an hour in 60 equal parts called minutes, and a minute into 60 equal parts called seconds. It’s the same concept where we break a degree in 60 equal parts calling each part a “minute” and you can further break each “minute” into 60 equal seconds. It’s unfortunate that it’s the same naming convention, but it has nothing to do with time. It can be confusing, but I hope this helps! Just think of minutes and seconds as units of measurement, and not flow of time!
