It's not bad if she's a witch, it's bad if she's not wise enough to discern the spirits. Communication with the dead is usually communication with demons because they pose as dead people, they wear many masks & even pretend to be angels, very sneaky. If you have the Holy Spirit obviously you can't be demon possessed because you're spiritually full so nothing else can fit, but those that don't might have dark spirits inside them without knowing. To see the difference, those with the Holy Spirit usually get attacked by dark spirits from the outside-in, those with demon spirits are usually the perpetrators. Look really carefully to see what's what, bastards are tricky. With the Holy Spirit, you know good from evil spiritually because you constantly reflect inwardly on yourself, but demonic spirits blind you from inward reflection because you'll see them inside you, they don't like being seen.

Make no mistake about it though a Demon can still very much influence and harass a true believer! If you say no to this then explain how Jesus was tempted by Satan? He responded perfectly to it but regular people do not always, obviously.
I don’t know when this was preached but it is everywhere now in the entertainment industry. Even cartoons and commercials. The subtle way they are pushing it also…..with humor mostly. Just leave the tv on for an hour and you’ll be surprised how much. That is if you are looking for it. Really enjoy Mr. MacArthur’s sermons.
Been listening to Pastor John for years and love it. Do not be deceived though. You cannot be possessed by a Demon if you are saved AND born again nor can witchcraft affect you (via another person) but Satan can still tempt you and try and harass you till the day you die. I have had dreams where I felt an extremely heavy demonic presence and would try to speak the name of Jesus Christ and not be able to open my mouth. It’s extremely terrifying and my wife woke me up once saying I was making incoherent sounds and she was worried. I felt so relieved that she woke me up. I don’t know what they meant and would just pray and ask for God’s protection.
Mine started at six and i would have the same dream. There were monster's walking infront of my hotel room door , though i dont remember this hotel room in my waking life. They would then come in and i learned to hide behind the door as i had it all the time. Every time i would crouched behind the door saying jesus and eventually that dream stopping but they got much darker.

No it's not. Harry Potter is good wizard against evil and demons. It's actually a biblical type of story like Star Wars when the good side fights the evil side. The universe is really like that, good vs evil. Good gets it's power from God, evil gets it's power from demons and the earth, but power is twisted around like the power from the Creator is manipulated for evil purposes and earthly power can be twisted for good, demons should be bound as captives, useless because humans aren't designed for evil and negative darkness.

I grew up in this environment and culture with black magic called Santaria. I would tell my mother Santaria wasn’t from God and I was about ten years old. Here in South Africa call them Sangoma (witch doctor). They worship their dead ancestors & belive that they recieve powers from them. Their initiation processes involve very scary things like drinking blood if cows & chickens, chanting to spirits outside after midnight, finally going into the ocean & emerging fully initiated after long periods of time up to several weeks. I've personally witnessed a young initiate woman entering the ocean while her Gobela (trainer) watched & she left without the young woman who did not come out of the ocean. I stood from the distance watching in shock.

I had a weird sleep paralysis experience once. I woke up and couldnt move but I wasn’t scared I was just like “oh must be sleep paralysis” so I waited for it to pass… but what really FREAKED ME THE F OUT!! Was when I heard some unfamiliar voice say “I love you (my name)” and then I felt lips on mine and then I started struggling. As this thing was kissing me I felt like my energy was being drained and that I needed to fall asleep. But I fought that feeling and when the paralysis ended no one was in my room!!

I think John MacArthur is one of the best modern day preachers; but I don’t understand why he believes in demons doing supernatural acts but he doesn’t believe in God doing supernatural acts. Anyone have an explanation?
Before I was born again I studied black magic not to practice but to find out if it was real. So I went to ancient manuscripts and religious texts along with the biggest occultists throughout history writings. One thing they all agreed on is black magic is any magic used to influence, sway or overthrow a free will of any person. The number one way to perform black magic is through the spoken and written language and manipulation. So the only way to protect yourself from this is to put on your full armor of God and study his word and be in his truth. Whenever we follow ally that causes our beliefs or actions to do something outside our own free will through manipulation of language and writings we are nonetheless under a black magic spell. This is powerful knowledge and what Satan does not want you to understand. Instead he tells you that magic is a man in a funny hat waving a crooked stick muttering incoherent words. Through his black magic of telling you the lie through movies on what to believe about magic you are in fact under a black magic spell. There is no bigger black magic practicers than politicians and lawyers. And the biggest black magic practitioners R The Priests, bishops, rabbis and all teachers have faults religions and gods. If we are not protected by the truth their black magic can manipulate you into the most heinous of crimes and actions and beliefs. Think about the poor Muslim teenagers who strap on a suicide vest and blow up innocent people. Their religious leaders and faults God lied to them and put them underneath a black magic spell. But it is the "Original Intent" that this principle is based on. both "Free Will" and demonic possession work on the exact same principle. Demonic possession is a choice anyone can freely make. Freedom of choice is exactly what it says it is. Meaning, each individual is FREE to CHOSE who they want to serve, who they desire to spend their time with, what they want to worship and how they want to live. God hasn't nor will He ever ignore anything or anyone...that's why we say there is a judgement day> In the beginning God created man and gave "Them Dominion" over the earth and all the creatures created. This is why it often seems that God ignores things but the Truth is, We are just as responsible for our actions as the God or gods we serve and submit to. Why would God make every choice and decision for us? That would mean that He created (not men and women but) personal -eternal slaves. What kind of God would do that?...oh, my bad the god of demons, satan himself. God wants us to freely serve Him, He desires that we treat others as we desire to be treated...when we submit to forces of darkness and have mass killings and rape and adultery and mass corruption at every level. I'm not here to preach to you just trying to answer the question...If you want to blame God for ignoring the "most likely innocent people" that's fine, I'm sure you have reasons to assume as you will, that's the freedom that you have...but, if fingers are pointed at God for the wickedness of men...why are we pointing them? All people aren't wicked, as you've stated many are average citizens, not offensive, most likely innocent... Truth is, God is so merciful, He not only temporarily allows the evil to flourish but He also spares those who are bold enough to challenge and falsely accuse Him of the evil that WE allow in our cultures...it's much easier for us to say, "Where Was God" than "Where Are The Good, Just, Innocent People" that should stand up against wickedness and corruption in their communities, towns, parishes, cities, countries and nations? So, why do we blame God? ...or even go as far as saying God is not real?...Maybe it's because we're afraid to stand up, open our eyes- "Fight Against" and blame the power of black magic or demonization in our society.

God's foreknowledge does not equate to forced knowledge. God draws all men unto Him and He gives a measure of faith to every man, it's then up to us to decide where to place our faith. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Why would John MacArthur recommend reading the book the great controversy by Mrs Ellen g white. She is a Adventist and prophecies we’re not all true. Did I order the wrong book? Did I hear wrong or did he recommend this book
I have interacted with several people I believe were under such demonic influence and posession... I just wish people would take the time to inform and educate themselves on what they are really fighting, instead of blindly lashing out in a superstitious panic. We will only end up wounding ourselves and driving away potential allies by being too hasty.
Everyone please keep in mind demons at times have foreknowledge of what they are able to do and have the ability to make it a reality. Remember the book of Job, when Satan was in heaven and God proposed to him His servant Job? Remember the conversation, think about it, the Lord proposed to Satan that he can do whatever he wants to Job, as long as he didn't hurt Job (at the beginning, later on God gives Satan authority to harm Job physically), that's right, Satan had authority BEFORE these things happened to Job. Imagine you now inject a tarot reader or other occult person to tell Job "oh Job, the stars are telling me that your children will be killed and all your livestock be taken away!" I think this is how a lot of this works the demons only operate on God's authority, but remember, our LORD tests our minds to see of we really love Him. If you have the Holy Spirit obviously you can't be demon possessed because you're spiritually full so nothing else can fit, but those that don't might have dark spirits inside them without knowing. To see the difference, those with the Holy Spirit usually get attacked by dark spirits from the outside-in, those with demon spirits are usually the perpetrators. Look really carefully to see what's what, bastards are tricky. With the Holy Spirit, you know good from evil spiritually because you constantly reflect inwardly on yourself, but demonic spirits blind you from inward reflection because you'll see them inside you, they don't like being seen.

Many, many, many times. It hasn't happened in years but it was often for awhile.
I have had dreams where I felt an extremely heavy demonic presence and would try to speak the name of Jesus Christ and not be able to open my mouth. It’s extremely terrifying and my wife woke me up once saying I was making incoherent sounds and she was worried. I felt so relieved that she woke me up. I don’t know what they meant and would just pray and ask for God’s protection.
Mine started at six and i would have the same dream. There were monster's walking infront of my hotel room door , though i dont remember this hotel room in my waking life. They would then come in and i learned to hide behind the door as i had it all the time. Every time i would crouched behind the door saying jesus and eventually that dream stopping but they got much darker.

The universe is really like that, good vs evil. I grew up in this environment and culture with black magic called Santaria. I would tell my mother Santaria wasn’t from God and I was about ten years old. I never ever participated in anything they did even palm reading. As a matter of fact, I remember when my mother took me with her to get her palm read. I was in the living room waiting for her when the psychic came out and told me to go sit outside. I sat on the steps outside. They never liked me. I have more stories too where they would tell me to leave the room. I’m the only one in my family who came to the Lord. As a Child, I wanted to marry Jesus. Probably from my experiences as a Catholic and attending Catholic school. But, many Hispanics were Catholic in my community and practiced Santaria. Two of my sisters married brothers whose mother was a well known Santaria leader who people went to. She moved to PR and practiced it there. It’s real people.

Here in South Africa call them Sangoma (witch doctor). They worship their dead ancestors & belive that they recieve powers from them. Many young people are now drawn in to that believing that they are called to it. They become sick & encounter unfortunate personal tragedies which lead them to believe that the ancestors are calling them to become a Sangoma. Their initiation processes involve very scary things like drinking blood if cows & chickens, chanting to spirits outside after midnight, finally going into the ocean & emerging fully initiated after long periods of time up to several weeks. I've personally witnessed a young initiate woman entering the ocean while her Gobela (trainer) watched & she left without the young woman who did not come out of the ocean. I stood from the distance watching in shock.
Just like the Law of One and David Wilcock I was fooled by all of that for years so glad God rescued me from such evil!!! Praise God! 👏 🙏
The spirit of DIVINATION is in practically in every single Christian church these days, ESPECIALLY the "charismatic" "church". People love their "prophets"/LIARS. Clamoring for a "sign" and a "word from GOD", seeking everything BUT GOD.
John makes some really good points here. I'm not a subscriber to everything John believes as the LORD said "These SIGNS will FOLLOW them that BELIEVE", that means FOREVER. The 'gifts' did not stop but they are also handed out VERY sparingly due to man's pride and tendency to abuse them. What we have no are counterfeits, lying "pastors", none really telling the truth, having a FORM of godliness but with NO spirit or ability to demonstrate the POWER of a BORN AGAIN servant of the LORD.

I had a weird sleep paralysis experience once. I woke up and couldnt move but I wasn’t scared I was just like “oh must be sleep paralysis” so I waited for it to pass… but what really FREAKED ME THE F OUT!! Was when I heard some unfamiliar voice say “I love you (my name)” and then I felt lips on mine and then I started struggling. As this thing was kissing me I felt like my energy was being drained and that I needed to fall asleep. But I fought that feeling and when the paralysis ended no one was in my room!!
If that happens to you again then you should use the name Jesus Christ. I had experience sleep paralysis and whenever I called about Jesus it ended.

I'm not here to preach to you just trying to answer the question...If you want to blame God for ignoring the "most likely innocent people" that's fine, I'm sure you have reasons to assume as you will, that's the freedom that you have...but, if fingers are pointed at God for the wickedness of men...why are we pointing them? All people aren't wicked, as you've stated many are average citizens, not offensive, most likely innocent...
Truth is, God is so merciful, He not only temporarily allows the evil to flourish but He also spares those who are bold enough to challenge and falsely accuse Him of the evil that WE allow in our cultures...it's much easier for us to say, "Where Was God" than "Where Are The Good, Just, Innocent People" that should stand up against wickedness and corruption in their communities, towns, parishes, cities, countries and nations?

He mentions a book called Between Christ and Satan somewhere around the 54-55 minute mark. I’m seeing two books by that name. One is The Great Controversy: Between Christ and Satan and then another by Kurt Koch. Anyone know which one he’s referring to?

Like the late R.C. Sproul John MacArthur is a great theologian in the vain of Jonathan Edwards who spoke to the condition of his generation . That's why this kind of message from John MacArthur should sobering for us believers !

God draws all men unto Him and He gives a measure of faith to every man, it's then up to us to decide where to place our faith.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Why would John MacArthur recommend reading the book the great controversy by Mrs Ellen g white. She is a Adventist and prophecies we’re not all true. Did I order the wrong book? Did I hear wrong or did he recommend this book

Your not lying Pastor, there are many that turn to black magic for a number of reasons, I know Demon's are real and they can personally attack us
I have interacted with several people I believe were under such demonic influence and posession... I just wish people would take the time to inform and educate themselves on what they are really fighting, instead of blindly lashing out in a superstitious panic. We will only end up wounding ourselves and driving away potential allies by being too hasty.
We are still a primitive, fearful, superstitious species.
Everyone please keep in mind demons at times have foreknowledge of what they are able to do and have the ability to make it a reality. Remember the book of Job, when Satan was in heaven and God proposed to him His servant Job? Remember the conversation, think about it, the Lord proposed to Satan that he can do whatever he wants to Job, as long as he didn't hurt Job (at the beginning, later on God gives Satan authority to harm Job physically), that's right, Satan had authority BEFORE these things happened to Job. Imagine you now inject a tarot reader or other occult person to tell Job "oh Job, the stars are telling me that your children will be killed and all your livestock be taken away!" I think this is how a lot of this works the demons only operate on God's authority, but remember, our LORD tests our minds to see of we really love Him. Stay strong brothers and sisters, and stay away from this stuff.
