No one can ever accuse you young lads of just painting a turd and calling it a day. You guys are a phenomenal job. BTW, Daycab Company is really putting themselves out there, they reached out to EZRIDER and Twinsticks garage about providing the interior for their 359s. I shouted you guys on in both channels comments regarding your restoration.
Roadhammer379 - We always look forward to reading your comments! Thank you for the kind words! Thanks for shouting us out sir, really appreciate it!

As many as I ever drove or had my share of shop time in, heaters, air conditioning, and wiring. A big anemones to fix and most of it always got passed down to the low guy on the totem pole. Wiring is not some get out the heat shrink and fix good as new but I did get fair at it. It took me a long time to realize how much better it was to work with what you have as its not a short little fix here and there. The wiring is chaffed and needs the protection of being sealed and some is corroded inside of its coating, it has to come out. I bought a new loom to put in a truck I was fixing, after making the mistake of taking it all out and not leaving good notes to refresh the memory, I found another cab that needed repairs and did it instead. Over I have heard two miles of wire end to end and that just can't be right. Some people have the knack for wiring.... cheap for the cost. The easiest was the wiring with the no., on metal tags that crimped on.... had a no., on both ends and if it was a blank or spare, you had to know if it was run only firewall to dash or if it ran further. When I finally accrued a book on that wiring only (big bucks) for that rig in front of me then life was good. A period of five years went by so easy cause you keep the day job, work nights and weekends when they came around and then bargained with the wife on where all the time goes. One day when in the full blown swelled neck stage, I told her if she could just work one night a week with me and we do it together maybe we could have some time together. I had to also let her drive once in a while or no deal. It worked out very well and she dang it was good at wiring.... go figure.
Love your videos
Thanks!
Also agree on removing those support bars for the radiator, move them to the frame. Cracked up a bit of the firewall from all that tension and rattling. Plus its more cleaner
I have a 1990 and you're correct the radiator support rods did crack out the firewall so I took the rods and bent them down to connect to the frame by the shock absorber haven't had a problem since
Yeah we are going to move those rods for sure! Also we are planning on relocating a lot on the firewall to give it a clean and smooth appearance!
It was such a poor design on behalf of Pete!
@@allz3garage627 Pete designed all that before air ride cabs and unibilts came along? My 93 has the rods attached to the top of the motor( B Model Cat) It just dawned on my as to why the cabmates i put on years ago didnt perform all that well? The exhaust rubbers (frame to elbow ) didnt have enough flex coupled with the radiator supports limited the travel, So you ended up with broken fire walls, poor performance on cabmates ect.We air cab,d this one and put on uni bilt cab rubbers an have plenty of travel, Thanx
Great stuff, it's old for new
Indeed it is!

You guys are doing a great job keep up the good work!
Thank you! Will do!
A I got some hid ones with the white Halo and it turns yellow for your blinker and they fit those old school head lights
Where did you get them from! That would look cool!
You should change the panel on the right hand side of the sleeper with the one for a door a little more storage
We thought about it! Storage is always good to have!!
I fixed the cowl just like you guys were talking about fiberglassing it back to stock. Cut a lil more deeper into them rivets pockets and start doing some fiberglass. But I'm sure u looked at my resto
Hamlet - We have been binge watching your resto! Awesome job! Cant wait to see the final product. I think you encouraged us to unbolt our truck!
A what about wilkins truck accessories in oklahoma I no they deal with 359s but I bet they might have an idea where to get that cowel
We have been using Truck Shrouds out of IL and they are great! Unfortunately, we had to buy the cowl from Pete!n No aftermarket ones out there
Love the videos guys. Just wondering... You don't seem to have any particular colors on your truck. Like company colors. How come?
Good question! Each truck is a little different, no company colors here!
I like it! Thanks for the reply
Anymore experience with truck shrouds panels? Are they as good as oem? Any fitment issues? Thanks
If you going all out on this truck what about grafting a corvette dash into it? I hear there is a company making then for the 378/389 now
That would be cool! They are very expensive though! Might have to make a run to a salvage yard!
@@allz3garage627 keep up the good work guys the trucking industry needs more keen young blokes like you
Was wandering what happened two you guys no updates though something went wrong but keep up the great work I can tell that it's coming along good so cut the camera on more that way people no just how hard it is to rebuild a big truck I've fixed and painted two but they were day cabs not near as much work that your doing but all 3 stay safe stay healthy and stay busy till the next one
Isn't that the truth! These old trucks are one problem after the next. Would rather work on this old iron anyway of the week over the new stuff! Appreciate the kind words.
Great Job on Restoration
love to see it when you done.
Where are you located & how to get in touch with you.
Appreciate it! Send us an email at allz3garage@gmail.com
@@allz3garage627 Hello , Thanks for the invite.
I have a short hood 79 - 359
is there anyway that you or somebody can make it a long hood updated enjoyable working truck.
Are you guys still at it
Haven't seen you in a while
Did you ever think to take the hood and cab off the frame? Thats what I did when I did my 1999 379 Aero cab, not realy much to taking the cab off. Then you wouldn't have to worry about over spay when you paint the cab..
We will most likely be pulling the cab, sleeper and hood off! Might pull the engine out to freshen it up as well!
when are you going to sell the silver 94 pete?
I got the same truck and I’ve been thinking about replacing that AC unit with an aftermarket is that what you guys are gonna do
We are going to try to find one out of a wrecked truck. the old set-up is an air driven actuator and we are going to get an electronic actuator.
Wish you guys posted more often but I know you guys have work and you guys are busy but if you did the channel will grow faster my opinion though but great video 👍🏻
ruclips.net/video/X8eVGvBMI7M/видео.html
Working on it! We always forget to pick up the camera!
GREAT INTERIOR COLOR. WATS DA NUMBER TO THE COMPANY
Got a question? got a 1993 379 Exhd im redoing, the corrosion in the area of that panel you are replacing( on my truck ) is minimal, big holed it so i could put the ext cab panel from Day Cab Company in, shaved the top of the cab, and list just goes on as you know. Question, I have my own HUCK gun and ive done a fair amount of cab skin replacements but THIS particular panel looks tight to get the gun in there to pull a collar/pin type huck? Did you use BLINDS on any of these rivets? And do you use Blinds often? I only use them if cramped for space or on fiberglass because of fear of splintering the FG? Thanx Jim from SW Ohio
Hi Jim thanks for the comment! The tight spaces are quite tricky, a lot of bloody knuckles goes into getting those pesky rivets. We pulled off every panel possible and and it’s very tight but doable. It’s also extremely important to be aware of the pressure to the gun, too much pressure and you will dimple the surface, not enough pressure and you will jam the gun.
@@allz3garage627 Thanx Gentleman, i hear ya on the bloody knuckles! My gun does a really nice job NOT wrinkling or distorting the panels, I regulate the air to 100psi. Look fwd to seeing more updates, God Bless You All. Again Thanx
Name of the place who makes the panels
More vid pls
Is that a cat motor
Yessir! 3406b
You guys do great work!
You may want to contact me for you hair on cowhide and embossed leather needs. All high quality products.
I would have left the stock headlights but puting led lights
We picked them up for a great deal! Couldn't resist. Facebook Market place is very dangerous!! HAHA!
ruclips.net/video/X8eVGvBMI7M/видео.html
Should use a putty knife when removing the panels. Slides in between the two and cuts the sealer at the same time. Hence no more extra fiberglass work. Don’t use a screwdriver to do that!!
I know! Unfortunately we learned the hard way!
That’s ok though! Learning the hard way fills the tool box on the shoulders! Sometimes those are the best tools for the job! Truck is gonna be sweet when y’all are done!
The silver pete needs 389 headllights for sure

Maybe Maybe Maybe!
It's new old school
Yessir!
@@allz3garage627 sorry bro I was sleeping got home from work at
3 in the morning from san Diego I got those light brand new on ebay they fit multiple vehicle peterbilt being one of them
@@allz3garage627 I'll post a video on them when I get them wired up don't no when that's gonna be
i am a subscriber to yalls channel love you kids , BUT to much talk not enough work . all yall do is talk about what you are going to do , do us a favor and show us how to do it like other channels, you kids should be proud of yourselves , i like people that do things right and yall definitely do it right.
Check out the new video! Less talk and more work! Appreciate the support!
U young guys are doing a good job but u need less talking and more working don’t have to film every little thing most of the guys watching are doing there own work u guys are like just buy a new one because u r definitely not shelling the money out or u would be trying to save half the shit u r changing keep up the good work!
Thanks brother! We are the ones shelling out the money. What It really comes down to is time management, and is it smarter to spend the time repairing it or just replacing it. Fortunately, we work with some great vendors that supply aftermarket parts for 50-60% off the cost from Peterbilt! That has helped keep our budget inline.
Less talking, more doing!
ruclips.net/video/X8eVGvBMI7M/видео.html
A lot of talking and no action, would have liked to have seen them do what they were talking about.
Want to make sure we throughly explain everything for everyone! We will do less talking and more action in the next one for sure!
Heater fresh air flap.. Poorly designed... I just made a full panel with NO cut out.. So it never leaks.. Period
ruclips.net/video/X8eVGvBMI7M/видео.html
Agreed! Very poorly designed! Going to upgrade to a newer setup on this old Pete!
@@allz3garage627 I'm not sure you understood what I meant... The panel being replaced on passenger side cab.. The one with round hole and square cut out.. I made panel with just the round hole... Didn't bother with fresh air vent....the heater box has a flap that ever seals completely.. So water gets in.. Ruins your floor.. Done 15years ago.. Still didn't leak..
@@allz3garage627 few other tips.. Mawk industries makes wiring harness.. Original fuse panel and all the useless wiring eliminate.. Online you can find brand new colorful Marine panels for fuses and breakers.. Last thing windshield cab surround apply some coat of primer before u put glass in..
