1989 yet this puts to shame most soundtracks released in the past 10 years or so. The Mega Drive had such a great sound hardware and Yuzo Koshiro instantly knew how to do wonders with it!
I love how Yuzo's name is on the title screen, and no one else's! Its like the guys and girls were like "We love Yuzo so much, we will put Yuzo's name on the title screen!"
My favorite melody of my childhood. Listen to it again make me feel calm and nostalgic. It can be loop again and again, the melody still epic and strong. Nowaday video game music are too mainstream with orchestral instrument, I miss that 8bit music period.
Super Shinobi has best sound track of all video games, Yuzo's finest work imo. Streets of Rage 1 and 2 were both god tier but FUCK revenge of shinobi just blows my mind 1000x over with every awesome track.
This is the type of music that you should play when you training in the mountains, practicing Dragon Kung Fu and preparing for a big karate tournament.🐉
So much emotion in this tune. It makes me think of a mother crying for her son who is on an epic quest from which he is sure to die. It’s like an opera.
This would be my all-time favorite "Shinobi" theme. The game stage, theme music, and characters were perfect here. Great memories thanks to Mr. Yuzo Koshiro 🎶
I remembered when I didn't press any buttons on the controller while in the title screen so the game will automatically go into demo to play this song. I was 10 and didn't understand much how to listen to this track back then. Not even the options menu.
Well, his music style for Etrian Odyssey tends to be repetitive (but it is enjoyable for the most part). Sometimes he can't even arrange properly some of his music. A primal example would be Dyed in Scarlet from EOU.
francisco prazzio i didn't find the china town level too bad but that damn freeway level shortly afterwards drove me nuts. That harbour level as well...grrrr
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES!!!!!! This type of music helps him GREATLY imagine he's deep in the mountains, perfecting his Dragon Kung Fu to get ready for a big karate tournament!!!!!!!🐉🥋👍
they just dont make music an melodies like this is videogames nowadays, such a shame, with 7.1 an dts, the developers have gotten lazy! i miss SEGA an i miss them so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still here after 11 years. Commented here 7 years ago. Will be here forever. It's the magic of simple melodies.
Reminds me of childhood. Simpler times, less possessions, less stress, and no responsibilities. Just relaxing.
Reminds me of no bills to pay
Also, no lockdowns.
Me too, just play and nothing to worry about
FACTS!
Even though The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon is born in 1992, he HIGHLY AGREES with you guys.👍

This game had a great soundtrack. One of the best games I've ever played on Sega Genesis. Brings back so many memories from my childhood.
it is amazing how you can find songs that marked your childhood in youtube......among all songs i strongly remember this one...props to the uploader
When I visited Chinatown in Manhattan, this immediately came to mind.
As well as imagining you're in the mountains, perfecting your Dragon Kung Fu to get ready for the U.S Karate Championship?🐉🥋🏆🤔👍
First game I ever played on the genesis. I blast through this game to this day.
So much emotion in this tune. It makes me think of a mother crying for her son who is on an epic quest from which he is sure to die. It’s like an opera.
A masterpiece in audio version of this classic game, top notch.

The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES!!!! The late 80's & early 90's is THE BEST!!!!!👒🗡️🐉💃🥰👍
Everytime i hear this song i remember that shinobi doesn't kill woman, he prefers to rip her clothes instead.
This song makes me want to visit China Town!

Que saudade! Que sentimento bom que tive agora! Jogava muito!
ONE OF THE GREATEST VIDEO GAME THEME EVER. I LOVE THIS GAME, I BEAT IT WHEN I WAS YOUNG. CLASSIC!
Essa trilha sonora é perfeita. Esse Shinobi 1 tem uma trilha fantástica. Mas, em termos de jogabilidade o 3 é o melhor. Pois ele tem bem mais golpes.
Yuzo Koshiro
Back when Yuzo Koshiro was fucking awesome.
