It most certainly is a collective pitch. With A LOT of safety features to keep it stable for beginners. Especially, those beginners who have only been flying 3-3.5 channel 4 bladed coaxial. Like the one's from Syma.
The instruction manual kinda sucks, as it does not instruct you to push & hold the little button on the flight battery to turn it on. Took me a couple of hours and review videos like these to find this out.

Button on the top right switches between 3 modes
Get the horizon hobby flight sim it will help you with the more advance heli I started the same way
