    What I appreciate about George’s teaching is that he understands matchups. Too much instruction out there that is rigid and systematic. Yes there are some absolutes. But hall of fame golfers do different things but match them up properly. It takes a good coach to understand those matchups👍

    Ok I’ve been teaching for 20 years played professionally for 10 years at mini tour level and four spotters. I have implemented in my own swing the rounded spine and brought my butt in and wow what a difference. It was the teachings of the 90’s + to stick your butt out chin up. I have always struggled with that to a certain degree.

    I swear setup is 99% of your golf swing, because on rare occasions I'll be set up just perfectly and I'll look at the ball and I'll be able to see and feel the fact that I'm going to hit an absolutely perfect swing and follow through etc. I would love to take a lesson from you you seem like the best tips I've ever heard

    Your golf swing determines your setup. A one or a two plane swing have different set-ups. The same goes for stack and tilt and your physical condition. So if you prescribe one golf setup you are not a good instructor!

    • @jacobr4558
      @jacobr4558 Год назад

      It's all interconnected. Your setup and your swing work and grow together. Adjusting your setup will alter your swing and changing your swing will require setup changes. There is a general starting point for setup with regards to posture, alignment, hip hinge, knee flex etc. Then as those principles are observed you can narrow and adjust to the swing of the individual.
      However if you base your setup on your swing then how would that work?
      Its say you grip cross handed and are very right hand dominant then you swing way across the line and early extend- how would you change your setup to help?
