Amateur Captures Bee Swarm (Entertainment Only)

Back in April on a warm sunny afternoon, when we were away and busy doing other things, we ended up with a swarm in the field out back.
We have a hunch it came from one of our small colonies that had been acting up the week before. (It’s not good when a small colony decides to split, we realize that.)
We used an empty NUC box with a frame of last year’s honey on it to entice them inside. A vacuum would have been useful to capture them without crushing them. Maybe.
After the NUC, we were able to move the bees into a box, again not ideal because we didn’t have enough frames with comb, just foundation.
Since then, we’ve fed them lots of sugar water and with plenty of dandelion coming on they’ve been bringing in pollen and have decided to stay.
