I am a Clemens descendant and his description of our ancestors is great listening. And accurate... The entire Clemens line is both witty and loves their story telling to this day.
And before some bozo has their traditional conniption fit, Samuel Clemens was a cousin and not a grandparent. His line ended with his granddaughter Nina.
Wonderfully entertaining, Mark Twain was a true master of his craft. This is so beautifully read (performed actually) by this particular narrator. Thank you so much 'swarming mannequins'.
Beautifully read and moves in the cadence of this master of American English writers! Thank you so much for uploading. Life's heartbreak and delights all woven together.

In this photo Samuel Clemmons appears directly pissed off. Yet it makes me chukle, for it reminds me of many of his "self described experiences and feelings", and his humor. *"Tell them it was Overstated"*
Not a photo. There was no color photography in that era. That's a painting. The first color photography experiments began in the 1890s but were not commercially available and the Lumiere Brothers came up with the first commercially practical color process that they could market to photographers and began to do so around 1913. Twain died in 1910.

My phone seems to collect this reading as going the right pitch of the reader's voice and then softening to nearly inaudible. It could be the phone, but I've had other readings today come out clearly throughout. I've noticed this on a few readings at other times and believe it is the reader's mike that functions incorrectly. What do you say? I would like to hear this read by someone who has a good consistent voice. It seems like an interesting book.😊
I just had a nightmare that he was time travelling and this generation would probably be drugged up and using ignorant excuses what would they say about us in 2020 dgaf
