Gotta love how diverse the city is. You basically walked from Central America to India.
I agree with you, this is the most diverse part of the city.
There's something about NY I love the most .The people and how they go about there daily lives .
You have the same feeling that I do
It's so fascinating to see the elevated subway platform and the lively neighborhoods below. It was nice to see the local shops, restaurants, and street vendors and people doing their daily activities. 😃 Thank you for sharing this ASMR walk, AK! 🤗
What is ASMR?
@@schen5425 Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response 🙂
Always love walking on Roosevelt Avenue to see all the different people and activity around
@@ActionKid well don't misunderstand, I do as well. Afterall, we are all part of the melting pot mixture 💯
Wow. I just moved to New York few days ago on January 1st and got a room in Jackson heights where it’s been my first home in New York. I’ve been a fan of your videos since I started to think of moving to New York. Glad to see you were doing one of your videos so close to me 4 hours ago. Happy new year!!!
Thank you so much! You picked a great place to stay
@@ActionKid 😀🙏
This is what's so great about NYC . It's all little tight knit neighborhoods . How can you not feel at home when you have all these people and cultures all around us? Boy I miss it.
I left nyc moved to Florida biggest regret. Florida lacks community and low wages.
@@durgalakshmi2793 I understand.
@@durgalakshmi2793 where in FL? Born and raised in Miami here, dad is from Queens as well as my grandmother. I’ve found I like NYC more than Miami for the reasons you like it. It’s not a perfect place, but it feels much nicer than most of Miami. I even prefer the cold weather lol
I was born in Jackson Heights in 1978 raised in East Elmhurst and live in Corona. But I can always say I lived by the 7 train since I been born. Always close to Roosevelt Avenue. Don’t care what people might say about this part of Queens but this is my home and it will always be my home. ❤
What I really crazy about New York is it's diverse culture which is immersive!!! So cool!!
Love it, doesn't get more real than this. The most diverse street in the world I heard. Over 300 languages spoken.
I always love Jackson Heights particularly the 74th Street area it's so populated with many stores easy access to LaGuardia airport by the Q70 Brooklyn Queens Expressway lot of restaurants nearby like that pizza Place and Wendy's also an easy ride to the rockaways when you think about it majority of buses have easy access to the furthest area of Queens which makes Jackson Heights a very good neighborhood
There's so much to see in Jackson Heights, I love taking a walk through here
Jackson Heights/Elmhurst was where I lived. Thanks for the walk around the area! Missing NY.
I went to high school in east Elmhurst .... monsignor mcclancy memorial high school....back in the early 80s
Every time I go to the city I take a walk around Jackson Heights. I grew up in a very rural area, I love all the culture. It's so exciting for me.
You pick a great place to visit
I love watching your videos every time I go to New York City I feel like I know where I’m at
Thank you so much!
My old neighborhood the 103 station brought back memories 😊 I have to go visit Queens soon
Very cool! You'll have to for sure!
Nice walk and Jackson Heights seems quite international by the flags what shows above the restaurants ,nice looking neighborhood , nice stores and restaurants 😎Overal enjoyable walk , thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
You're welcome, thank you so much for watching! There are so many restaurants here
I grew up in this neighborhood , but there was no graffiti and no trash in the streets. 50+ years ago.
Now is like jungle. All those peoples one top of others. I mean in the apartment.
I don’t know where you grew up but I grew up in the same area and there was plenty of graffiti and trash during the 70’s, even more than there is now. In fact when I watch these videos I’m amazed at how much the city has been cleaned up since I was a kid.
@@hdguy350 Right I spent alot of time in Corona in the 70s. I think it is worse then.
Late comment, but I've heard that Corona was formally an Italian neighborhood. Is that right? I do see some Italian restaurants around Corona ave and 108th st, but it's all Hispanic in Corona overall.
I grew up in this neighborhood in the early 70s....it's changed a lot ..... I went to our lady of the blessed sacrament k-8 near 94th street where I lived
Kinda awesome to see lively people and all the spots which I guess really worth visiting!
At 21:03 the guy says: "Ella no soporta el ruido ya" ("She can't stand the noise anymore"😥)
Brave ActionKid. Thanks!
@@strollmaster You gonna reply to every comment on this vid?
That Birria Landia truck at 35:15 has great Birria tacos.
What’s the nearest subway to the truck? I am travelling to NY next month from Europe and plan to eat their. Thanks
I love this avenue. Thank you.
There used to be a pizzeria i believe on junction blvd near 88th st with a walk up window....me and my little buddies used to put all our change together to buy a cheese pizza.... sometimes we had enough for pepperonis on it 😂 great childhood memories of the 70s in jackson heights
Wonderful video.thanks for sharing this beautiful moments with us. It is really worth watching. Greeting from IRAN 🇮🇷❤
I’m sure it’s white noise to everyone that lives there, but I couldn’t live directly next to an overhead train. Every time I heard it pass by, it triggered my fight of flight response. 😂
Happy New Year, Ken. From Ann and Tommy in Ireland
Love visiting this area
Hello I'm in New York for 1 day this sunday and I want to do what you did in the video how long did it take and once you finished what other places are nearby in queens that would be good to visit
Great Video. Thank You For Sharing. 😷 😁 ❤️
Seeing all the beautiful people is haft the fun of seeing places I know I will never get to.
But it's oh most like being there. Your Videos are too good to just watch them once.
I end up watching them two or three times. 👀 😎
I'm so happy you watching my video sometimes several times
@@ActionKid
Yes. They are that good.
Once isn't enough. 👀
Really love that area!
Caí de paracaídas en esa película, me encantó!
Rock on! 🤘😎🤘
I love New York. It's so fascinating to me. My wife and I went last year.
Woooh era la película qué estaba buscando hace mucho! Mi inglés sigue en construcción todavía pero el castellano lo hago mucho mejor.
Gracias muchacho por compartir tuyas ideas!

“I’m leaving NYC no more NYC it’s not safe NYC…bla bla bla bla bla Florida here I come bla bla bla” yeah 😂
It's good that they have the MTA workers out of the booth. It will deter crime.
Living there was fun.
Quite familiar with the area, you were on a Manhattan bound 7 train.
Nice video
Have u still got your apartment in Miami AK
Saludos desde New York bendiciones
Nice。
👍
I lived on Corona it was nice a lot Colombians, new york is mix
Por primera vez veo que o castellano sirve para alguna cosa!
Saludos!
Ahhh my old stomping grounds.
Mine too 70s
That place is a just Minority Town for Asian Indian & Hispanic people.
I have a neighborhood for you that I don't think you've done a video on yet: Cambria Heights
Hi there I lived there before
Is it as good as it looks an sounds
Hey AK! What's up?
I know you color tuned the vid abit but damn the area looks so vibrant and busy 😍😍
I didn't change anything with the colors but it was naturally vibrant
Так себе район, если честно.))
I used to live in Jackson heights when I was little in the early 2000s. I hated how dirty it looked but I always liked hearing the train pass while walking home from school. Sad that it looks even dirtier now
I noticed you kept rather silent on your walks through the ghettos. Is it because it’s dangerous?
No, its just cause he wanted to stay silent. . .
@@JasonTangClothing that’s absurd
Ahh gotta love the little Asian women who make the neighborhood a better place offering to help you out with your sore shoulders or back😊
One of the dirtiest Neighborhood I ever seen.
It is
2:02 assault…
Where? What assault? Did you mean the pigeon?
Couldn't Pay me to live there.
So many shady characters in this area.
I live in Corona its sad to see how it's full of trash and gang ridden now.
🦜AKen, There is Chinese/Spanish restaurant right off the stop there, pretty decent. You don't find many of those! Just thought of it, you probably were sticking out like a sore thumb, as the saying goes 😉 That's how I feel when I'm there. Interesting vibe for you, I'm certain!
