Jimmy punching himself to victory shows that there is really no right way to shoot the bow correctly, it only has to be repeatable. If you hit your 10s, you just doing something right.

Kyle Douglas also uses a thumb release "on command". There's a lot of myths about what should be done in target archery to excell which have no fundation. Like "the largest the axle to axle, the better", or "d-flex risers are more stable", etc. At the end, if your proccess is repeateable and you're confident in your gear you can earn titles even shooting with hunting bows.

His style works because his mind and anchor is tuned to it, but how many shots did he do to prefect it, compared to someone who doesn't punch it. , somehow he learned to make a punch smooth and if you look close nothing moves his anchor is rock solid except his thumb movement . , I use a thumb like a back tension as for some reason i get target panic with tension release not thumb if the shot is triggered via my thumb pressure it works , but if my thumb is doing nothing i lock up . Each to their own , but I would love to know how much work he put into his style .

@@Buran01 Myths ? training guides , you cant teach bad habits to a beginner, but if you decide to shot your way as you get better and you know what causes your misses, then anything goes if you can constantly repeat it and tune it to shot 10s

@@travistwwreck1535 Sara López shoots ~150 arrows per day, and I guess is more or less the same for most of the top archers in the world. And again the kind of release have been mostly matter of preferences: Paige Pearce and some Russian archers have been using wrist releases for years with no problems staying at top level.

@@Buran01 Most Comp archers shoot 150 or more a day 6 days a week . Im not sure punching a wrist release would help group sizes though .

Why do they mark the holes from prior arrows? for gun I get it but for archery the new ones are the ones with arrows in them, seems kind of obvious.

In case the arrow bounces out of or passes through the target.

pretty sure it is a "come up to the line", and then indicates the start of the 20 sec shot window. but yes from viewing, annoying.
