I think R-Type was the first Space Shoot-em-up I played as a kid. I drew many drawings of the R-9 as young~ Korone spend 12 HOURS playing this game! 😳 I don't have time to watch it all and looking at the video time-line, she gets stuck for 8 hours of them, on Stage 7... That's all sorts of incredible. 🤭🥰 The little Beginner Tag 🔰 is such an endearing touch. Doog got so close~! Stage 7 is indeed the toughest! Impressive effort! 👏

Sasuga Korone The problem here probably was, that R-Type is not meant to be played with infinite revives. You either get through this part fully equipped or you start all over again. If you start from the revive point naked, you'll have a bad time.

7 hours of playing the same 15 seconds of gameplay....I honestly couldn't...I came in just as she started working on that part and thought "yup, another epic retro endurance stream!", granted I didn't watch much of it live, but looking at the archive I feel bad she couldn't do much more than what I only saw for maybe 15-20 minutes. However, this is what games were all about back then. No save states, no easy way out of situations, you were either good or you were bad and that was that. In a situation like this she had no choice but to keep going because otherwise if she were to turn the game off she would have to start all the way from the beginning again and work her way back up. When you're this close to finishing a game you either go all out or go home and Korone does what any gamer would. You do not stop or give up, EVER! Enjoy the long ride and never let it get to you!

STGs is a genre that requires an extra Layer of focus, definitely one of the hardest genres to master
