Those of you that are saying you're waiting for your Superman, you don't understand the point of this song. It's telling you to be your own superhero and save yourself while helping others, even if they aren't grateful, you keep doing it for the sake of good, not for the sake of attention.
This song came out at a really difficult time in my life & helped me make it through. Chris your voice is so incredible & very calming for me.
That moment when he says the first "Up" oh man so good. It's so good. Daughtry has been too underrated! Love his music and his voice is just perfect.
Amazing this song was released on the 11th year of my mama's passing. My sisters and I dedicate this song to you Mama....We love and miss you!!!!!!!! Thanks Chris for a beautiful song to remember the most amazing women I've ever met and try to be EVERYDAY!!!!!!

This aint about a wife waiting for her husband to come back from the military. It's about a woman (in general) waiting for the hero of her life to come (or come back). People need to stop assuming songs have meaning to only one particular thing, situation, or scenario. Yall do realize, as songwriters, they need to appeal to the masses? Songwriters want a song that can reach out to everyone and draw emotion, be it sorrow, hope, love, or whatever else they can tap into. This song is about hope (hence the reference to Superman). She's hoping for her Superman, whether he comes home from the military, or comes from out of nowhere to save her from her life of loneliness. I only like this song because it has "Superman" in it, and I'm a Superman fanatic!

I didn't necessarily mean that someone can't have a wrong interpretation of a song...if someone is going completely off the topic of the song in general, then that's most definitely not on the right idea. I mean that you can interpret what the song suggests in different ways. It's not really a comment that I thought would be taken this literally, but yes, I should have been more clear in my first comment about what I meant.

Soo my best friend of my life and i were listening to this song (we were drinking a bit) we've been best friends for 10 years and never did anything with eachother but were very close, i got this weird feeling in my chest and when i dropped her off we hugged and then i kissed her on her cheek. I really wanted to kiss her lips but i didn't. I got home and said "sorry if that was awkward" she said it wasn't. Maybe next time ill actually kiss her..

Everyone needs to chill out! This is an amazing song! Daughtry always has a few slower songs on his albums... That doesn't mean he is going soft or into pop. Daughtry is a rocker!

I LOVE this song!! It's so beautiful and honest about a woman's struggle to find her identity on her own and wishing she had a man to help her through life. I like Chris Daughtry songs like "Home" "Used To", and "No Surprise", but this one has already moved up to one of my favorites of his.

Daughty is quite a literary man when you think about it. He has all these extended metaphors and characters in his music. It's amazing!
I have always loved Daughtry! He is way under rated and he has a loyal fan base. Break the Spell was such an amazing album. I am so looking forward to the next one. Saw him in concert. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LIVE!!!!

People complaining about "electric/pop" in the song. Look Daughtry are the best band in the world. Not all of their songs are rock (Everything But Me, Lullaby) Chris' music is famous for his powerful voice, inspirational and amazing lyrics, and amazing storytelling songs. All of which this song has! Its yet another amazing Daughtry song and I love it! Well done guys :D
Exactly my thoughts. I think they are being pointed in the wrong direction if they think Daughtry's music has to sound like the other pop music out there. Their unique sound is why I love them. Can't wait to hear the other songs on the CD.

I love this song! Chris doesn't have a single song that I don't like. Amazing vocals as always, cool delivery, great lyrics, and a fun beat. It's gonna be another hit song!! So proud of you, still keeping it real down to earth, and Jesus is still in you! A living light for all to see. Good job!
i will tell you what i already told many others on diffrent bands. in order to keep making music, they have to change their sound from time to time. that is the way the world works be thankful they made this album

There's nothing wrong with pop, dude. This song is perfect. If their whole next album is like this, I wouldn't mind at all. It's just as good as the rest of their music. But, as great as Daughtry is, Ed Sheeran is (imo) the king of all things music ;)
