Niiice Nailed it on the head. b/n this and encore He went to rehab ,relapsed, then overdosed and rehabbed again. So this was him also relapsing into music too. He apparently had to relearn how to rap after all the medications he was addicted to. Relapse is such a good album imo even though Eminem himself doesn't love it. His fans always had different opinion on that. Album got so much respect and love over the years by fans and hip-hop artists as well (for example Tyler the Creator praised it 1 or 2 years ago). Accents are everywhere but to me that's what makes this album fun and enjoyable. Best horrorcore hip-hop album oat for sure and a lot of people's top 4 Em album. You'll probably like it even more after some listens. Worldplay,technicality and rhyme schemes are out of this world on that one. Also Insane is not his personal experience. He said that it's just rap gone wrong.
Having listened to the whole thing at the time of posting this, I do say at the end this is the most consistent of the albums I've heard so far - it didn't have lows on par with some of the duds on Encore for example, but nor did it have highs compared to some of the best songs on the prior albums. What that means for where it'll rank, we'll have to wait and see.
Muhahaha ready for you to hate on one of my fav album. But for real you need to the refill for this one. I know you said you didnt want to make deluxes or w/e but make an exception on this one. Not that it will change your opinion or whatever, just know 3/4 of the best Relapse songs (for fans of this album) are on it. Edit: Nathan is his little half-brother
It was a good album... Just lacked the great moments of the other albums. (Deja Vu and Beautiful coming the closest). MAYBE, I'll come around to doing the bonus songs in batches after lapping his discog.
