Would have been nice to see some of the ir/camera footage as well from the last 2 units

when you are in thermal mode do you see the thermal image with both eyes ? Or is this like two independent monocular attach next to each other ?

    Thanks Sean..
Spoke to you on the Phone a few weeks ago.
Excellent customers service compared to Scott Country, which I found rude and patronising ...

Nice one, i recently bought a hq35 from yourselves. Decent. If hik are into suggestions, no idea would it be possible, but...if with a firmware update you could change the functions of particular buttons, that would be great. For example, i carry my sticks or tripod in my left hand so would like power button to be front right ideally. I find the auto on off ok but will sometimes flick on and off while walking around in the hanging position.
Also they need to line up the ir light so it fills the screen. Mine pints too high so your looking at the top of the screen to see whats illuminated. 👍

We'll have a word with HIKMICRO and see if it is possible 👍

I have found since that it was no problem to switch which arm I carry the tripod in,
I've also found that once you get past the initial playing around and just use them, one handed use is no problem. For foxing anyway, I just set focus to work at long distance, leave it in either black or white hot, and then when walking about I can quickly 'wake up' and scan with left hand, without putting anything down.
Could also ping a range or record with that hand but if doing either I'd probably use both hands to steady anyway. Don't tend to zoom now or mess with colour pallets often.
*Regarding the IR, I assumed that when switched on in the menu , it was only activated when in optical mode but it's on then all the time, draining the battery so I'd recommend to people leaving it off and have a cheap ir torch in the pocket if you want to illuminate something quickly in optical mode.
Also leave WiFi off if not using it regularly and battery lasts longer. 👍
