I was watching the a peacock and the show ended weirdly right as they were about to announce the last contestant to move on to the grand finals and Norway hadn’t been listed yet and she is one of my top five is not my number one simply because she is just as good live as she is in the recording. Why do the Big 5 automatically qualify for Eurovision? The UK, France, Spain, Germany, and Italy are known as The Big Five and automatically qualify for the final. These countries' broadcasters make the biggest financial contribution towards the contest, and so automatically get to compete
You were wondering about why there were no commercial break, and that is because you were watching from SVT (sveriges television = swedish television). SVT is a public service company, thus they are not allowed to run ads and are funded by the government. But at the same time they are required BY LAW to be completely neutral in all matters when providing information. If you had been watching using some other service, there would have most definately been ads.
MOVE TO CROATIA BTW! Cuz you said “Do I go to Canada? It’s not safe anywhere in this world.” Croatia is one of the safest! It’s a calm and safe country with yummy food and village kinda vibes. I stayed in Sibenik which is a town there for vacation in June. Very nice.
I would have loved it if Malta had qualified. I just don’t know which entry I would have replaced it with. Tuesday was a great lineup. I think Malta would likely have qualified if they had been part of Thursday’s lineup.
