Nothing is better than Amy and Seth doing 'Really'.
Except when Tina joins them.
Tina is so overrated.
The Michael V skit is the best
@@jonhohensee3258 u dumb
"Vasiliki Stamatina, kalinichta sas!" ... Tina said her real name and wished good night in Greek... :)
Stamatina's her middle name, her first name's Elizabeth.
Vasiliki is her grandma
The Weekend Update dream team.
yo i always looked at Seth as a 'hot dad' kinda guy who you overlook because it would be inappropriate to be attracted to him. But then I let myself wander and boy is he cute. He's a cute guy who is actually really funny. Mad rare.
Your name sure fits ^^
@@Sontraid 4 years late but omg😂😂
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY
This is probably the most accurate comment I’ve read.
Well it's not rare on SNL
This started out so amazing, one of the funniest skits ever, then they add Tina to the skit and make it even better! I had so much fun watching this.
Best SNL cast, ever.
I have to disagree. John Belushi, Gilda Radner. Jane Curtin, Chevy Chase, Dan Ackroyd, etc. Original Not Ready For Prime Time Players.
@@atomicknight63 or the bad boys if the 80s
The aughts casts were, at the very least, the most underrated group of the show's run.
"You're embarrasing yourself in front of Turkey." Hahahahah I laughed more than I should've. Kalimera from İstanbul ;)
Hahaha, I'm Greek but I loved that part, too.
Love how Tina speeks Greek! Never knew she could
Shes half greek. Her full name is Stamatina Elizabeth Fey... Look her up on google or wiki.
well i did figure that out when watching it ;)
She can't, tbh. You can tell by the accent and especially by the "agapiosas", which isn't really a word. :P
She is not really speaking greek. She is using weird words that are not words to begin with.
Oh, come on, "ntrepomai" and "kalinixta sas" were right, she just got one word wrong.
It’s so wild watching this considering the fact that Parks and Rec and 30 Rock were already starting to air when this came out
Actually, 30 Rock premiered 3 years before Parks and Rec
I'm Greek and I'm not offended by this sketch. Why? Satire is based on over-exaggeration. Greek people who don't pay their taxes are a huge minority that sadly affects a vast majority. The fact that this sketch turns it around is something that deserves laughter.
If it was an actual news report, I would be very offended, but being this? To Greek people reading this, Ηρεμήστε ρε παίδες που παίρνετε τόσο στα σοβαρά ένα σόου που μόνο στα σοβαρά δεν πρέπει να βλέπεται.
Also, Tina Fey speaking Greek. Kudos, Mrs Tina!
+VanAkita Απόλυτο δίκιο και συμφωνώ 100% μαζί σου
It's funny how USA makes fun of other countries when they have nothing to teach. All their economic theories have shown able to create only more inequality. I lived in Athens during the times of the referendum and before, and also in Spain, and it was painful to see how the general media outside Greece was trying to sell the idea that Greece was to blame for all its faults and should pay all their taxes, and in a very disrespectful way. Nobody went to the heart of the problem, all the media outside Greece was focused in one thing: using Greece as an example. Spain didn't have that because we already have a government that bends to the European debtors. But i will tell you this: when we were asking for money to Germany and other rich countries to keep building our real estate bubble, they were more than happy to lend it because, besides the loan interests, they knew every flat sold was going to be equipped with german fridges, laundry machines etc. Now they don't want to lose money because they too got caught in a bad investment, and foolishly, our country has socialized a private debt. This is not capitalism. Instead of German banks going bankrupt, we had the bankruptcy of our whole idea of society. The same happened to Greece, all those loans were not uninterested and now people is paying for the greed of a few. It's really a shame to see SNL or John Stewart buy all those unchecked facts and exaggerations. It makes you wonder how much you can believe from them. They keep laughing at Mediterranean countries, but they also keep coming to our countries on holidays to remember how life should be lived. Now they are doing the same again with England and the Brexit. The truth is England has always fared well in any endeavor, and they will do well, but they are trying to sell us that outside Europe there's nothing, even if the Europe of today is a mess of private interests. They are just trying to sell a story to everybody through mocking others.
"huge minority" tells the whole story here.
tina speaking greek is so cute :P
Petition to put this in a museum. I don't even care which one. Just do it.
their honesty is what i admire about them i love amy and tina omg
Best weekend update ever was Amy and Tina!!
Whilst they're capable by themselves, those two ladies are always at their best when together. I can't think of a better female comedy pairing.
Why does Amy wants to kiss Seth every time after the sketch
who wouldn'y
im not mad about it
I have always thought they were secretly in love with one another and I could never figure out why they never got together.
@@TableForOne1976 well Amy was married when Seth joined the show so
so i gather tina fey is greek apparently
Her mom is of Greek decent.
her mam is greek and she spoke greek at home as a child ik its 6 years late but for some reason i feel this is important to say
Tina speaking Greek! :)
"Wheels up, flaps down" 😂
BRING "REALLY" BACK WITH COLIN AND MICHAEL PLEASE
ipods - I had forgotten they had ever existed.
Amy is such a badass lol
Oh, man!! I REALLY miss this guys!
BEST SNL cast imo.
Wish there was more Tina
That money thing was a good point. I work at target and I can’t take more than $10 off a product without approval
Royalties for inventing civilization 😂😂😂
We are proud to be Greeks!! Nice sketch though.... Love both Amy and Tina...
03:00 ..and Tina Fey! (among others)
"Αλήθεια!?!" .. τέλειο
ohhh now I see where her gifs came from XD XDXD
o Tina she is so awesome
Awesome!!!
"Well."
It's a pity Nana Mouskouri wasn't a contemporary of Tina Fey - Tina looks a lot like her, it would have been a great impression.
A guest spot for Amy during her second pregnancy!
2:31 "I've got a wife and two kids, I haven't seen a fifty in ten years."
the intro card in greek says "truth" (Alitheia)
Tina
Needlers
"royalties for inventing civilization"
Ena frappe metrio me gala, parakalo!
Tina Fey’s presents reminds me of my own bit of ‘really’ trivia. One of my favorite movies is Megamind, which Fey was in, and unfortunately it underperformed at the box office for several reasons despite being a wonderful film in itself. Everyone knows about Despicable Me, but there were other reasons, ad one was a teensy little mixup in a movie theater. Granted, this was totally the theaters fault, but ticket sales for Megamind still suffered for it, but the workers at the theater put the wrong movie in to show. Now, out of these three choices, which movie do you think was played to a room full of children who were expecting Megamind?
A. An Alvin and the Chipmunks movie
B. The Last Airbender
C. A 3-D Saw movie
Megamind is soooo good
What was it??
seth looks like Macron here
Hay I just noticed! On the map there is no Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan! Realy?
There is no Djibouti, Togo, or Qatar.
John Irving thous jackasses!
sorry for necromancy, but there's also some extra tiny countries that don't exist in reality :p
ren necromancy?
bringin back a very very old long forgotten thread :p
It's all Greek to me.
Truth be said, Greece's retirement age is 65 for most jobs
my mom is 54 and she is getting a retirement because she is a woman and a mother
***** why would a 54 yo woman get an early retirement because she's a mother, at that age her kids are adults, i'm confused
deedou07 no I didn't say this is good, I'm just saying this is what's happening replying to the OP. I think it's wrong, since like you said there is no reason to retire , the kids are adults indeed.
It’s good that they check suspicious packages ! It’s better than taking a risk and loosing hundreds of lives
happy birthday @hennamulani
"Βασιλική Σταματίνα, νννΚαληνύχτα σας.."
WAY too many comments offended by factual errors in this COMEDY SKETCH. Really?! If you're worried people are learning about Greece from old SNL skits then you've got problems that have nothing to do with SNL.
Retirement age 54
My german mind can not compute that data
So they didnt divorce, or did they?
That's was a hard watch
retirement with 54......thats progress
it´s not the same anymore... i used to love it
Donald Trump is a president REALLY?!
Is seth dating amy
endupdateweekendupdat
yup
ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ?
Wtf snl ! greek people pay their taxes and more !!!!! check your resources. REALLY ?!?
Is Amy pregnant here?
Yes
Could've been better
Greece invented civilisation ! hah. Realy ?
Well... really!!!! :)
Its seems that they've never heard of ABJAD...or Sidon or Tyr
yes it did alex i so sorry you didn't know that, now you can suck it up..
your lack of historical knowledge is funny.
i leave you to your ignorance.. believe what suits you but all history teachers academics or not, know the truth. Greeks do invented every known science that formed the base of the world. the others just followed
yes mAybe but, after they learned how to spell, to write or to navigate...how to rule, to argue, to deBate, yet never to conquer...we Just have to look at the romans how they treAted them, to know their worth. even some enlightened can be so ignorant especially when they learn from hollywooD ;)
Actually, the Greeks gave the world homosexuality.
Pretty sure homosexuality's existed for as long as there have been at least 2 males on the planet.
@@jakepullman4914 But it wasn't globally known until the Greeks came out.
We do have taxes and they are a huge pain in the ass, apart from that I agree with all the rest.
***** Taxes are not a pain in the ass. Taxes are a incredibly vital and necessary part of society. You are indirectly destroying your country with that. I mean yes sure, Germany's saving plan is stupid and inefective, but without taxes nothing will work. So get your shit together and pay your fucking taxes.
Luis Cuypers I just want it to be noted that in Greece everyone pays their taxes and we are not complaining about their existence or necessity. No one refuses to pay taxes, you can't refuse. You can't even open a bank account or register for anything official - except maybe your national ID card - without proof that you paid your taxes (φορολογική δήλωση). The issue greeks have is (mainly) with the sudden increase in tax rates while the cost of everything else including water and electric bills skyrocket... So please stop saying that Greece (at least the greek people) don't want to pay their debt, we just want to do it under humane or at least rational circumstances. Sorry for the long rant...
Inventing what? Gtfoh
really hate teh over using of word Really?? Really?
That's the whole point of the segment!
Of course, Im not an idiot...
This segment is really lame.
Jesus, was Seth Meyer ever funny?
so superficial reference this one about Greece, so far away from reality and without humor at all...
Um, this is a FACTUAL news report. I don't think anyone's gonna' believe they exaggerated anything. What would be the point? Comedic effect? Who does that?
Vasiliki Stamatina! Kali Nitasas
2:02 Depending on what video you're watching of Seth? Did I get that right Freysby?
