i think if you check out the video from Donkmaster's Fast & Flashy car show you'll have more of an understanding of why they do what they do to these cars. No I get what you guys are trying to do, but like I said, I don’t understand WHY. You build a serious car to go fast, and then weigh it down... don’t care what the reason, that is very counter-productive. I’m not new to donks, been doing these cars since before they were called donks. I’ve seen them evolve into some pretty serious cars like these, and while I do not care for 90% of what you guys do to them, I do like the idea of them getting some respect in the drag race world, but thats never going to happen until you guys get your fucking priorities straight and stop worrying about how hard you can make the trunk rattle and how big someones wheels are. Thats bullshit. Someone is going to show up with their act together one day and ruin y’all because they’re gonna build the same car as you guys but with no bullshit. Thats all its gonna take.
It’s just extremely disappointing to see all those sick motors, and then watch them crawl away from the starting line, sure they get going, but YAWN! If you’re into building really fast stuff to go slow, why not get into tractor pulling? Makes about as much sense...
I guess its just comes down to the owners intentions of the build. If you strictly want to race then by all means id sh all out pro mod in a donk( which i agree someone should/probably will do pretty damn soon) .But if you just want to cruise and attend shows then thats what you build towards. What you lack in performance you'd make up for in showmanship and vice versa. These guys just want the best of both worlds, or as close as they can get to it. Not every day has to be a race.
