Tbh PC and Quest can get along it's just theres a few bad apples in both barrels.
Personally me and possibly other people like this kind of content, if you plan on doing more of these please focus on more complex questions and more people. Great video btw.

my main gripe with quest users is they can't see me.
An avatar can have up 15,000 polygons before being automatically hidden on quest (poor stat is hidden by default)
on PC this limit is 70,000
I put a lot of effort making sure anything I make stays under "medium" performance rank (pc), but If I want to be seen by quest users I need to spend a ton more time and effort making a separate, crappier version of myself, that only they can see.
I tend not to hang around quest users or worlds for this reason, because I want people to see me, and not a random fallback that isn't me.
Hopefully in the future VRchat can raise the quest performance limits a bit.

at this point: just play rec room, all the toddlers are switching to vrchat right now so you can play in peace in rec room (im talking out of experience, the average age in rec room really got older!)
I make worlds. It's what I enjoy doing. The biggest problem for me, is that I build things for PC. I make my worlds to be high quality, and as a result they usually end up being too demanding for Quest. I don't mind optimizing for Quest, and I actually find it to be a fun challenge. The problem lies with the occasions when I have to make massive visual sacrifices in order to get the world running smoothly. Sometimes I can do some basic optimizations and that's enough. Sometimes I have to almost completely rebuild the world with lower poly assets for Quest. More recently though, I have been building for Quest specs, and making it look as good as possible on Quest, then adding more on top for PC.
Quest users not being able to see my avatars can also be a bit annoying.
I find Quest users as a whole to be fine. It's just that small group of toxic kids. I can also say the same for the elitist PC users. Being a PC user I actually find the elitist PC users to be more annoying and toxic than the toxic quest kids. I find that there is no point in hating on Quest users. PC players are the minority so it would just be an uphill battle anyway.
Could not agree more tbh I understand u 100% im having trouble getting Avis compatible with quest so I can’t even imagine a world sheesh but yea funny enough getting footage for my new videos I ran into WAY more toxic Full-body users then quest wish we could all get along and realize VRchat was meant for everyone and no one should be looked down on just for there headset but by the content of there character

As someone who PC only alot of my friends are quest only and wouldn't have met a lot of my friends if wasn't for quest I make sure my custom avatars are quest compatible and go to quest compatible worlds
worse of all some pc index users treat quest users like crap how i know i was one of them and i saw them bully quest users

I find the argument to be so stupid and a waste of time. The main differences between PC and Quest are the abilities to handle certain worlds/avatars and the graphics capabilities. Thats it.
Sure, Quest has brought in alot of kids to VRC but it has also brought in alot of chill people who wouldn't be able to afford VR otherwise.
Same goes for PC and it's elitists/crashers. They're a problem too but it doesn't mean all PC users are like that.
It isn't fair to judge someone off the device they use. Judge them off how kind and chill they can be.
VRC is a social platform. Its time we were being social.
The truth of the matter is that VR chat is heading towards quest and the meta-verse and getting away from PC. Basically it doesn’t take a genius to see that so in another year it won’t even matter what headset you have VR chat will be completely tailored to use, standalone, headsets, and cut out most of the PC only features, they’ve already did a lot to get away from mods on avatars that crash less sophisticated systems. It’s just the way it’s going to go PC users are already migrating to different platforms like neos and chill out VR.
Nah can’t see this happening. Majority of worlds still don’t work on quest. Majority of avatars aren’t made for quest. They’re not gonna weaken the entire game for one group. The way it works now with some worlds/avatars work and some don’t is fine.

If Facebook gets involved, it’ll be about getting as many people hooked into it as possible, and the only way to do that is by affordable hardware which is what the Metaverse and quest products are aimed at. The amount of PC users will always be limited because the masses simply don’t have money to put out for $1000 video cards and massive custom built computers. It’s a very small group the amount of quest users already out numbers it almost 3 to 1 and it’s just starting. The release of the quest 3 this December I think will be the clincher because that will mean that the quest two will drop even more in price. they’re talking about as low as $99 to get you into VR. The days of us being tethered to $1000 video card are about to come to an end I think. what everyone seems to forget, is sooner or later it will be about money. there is massive room for advertising in VR chat worlds and believe me this has not gone unnoticed.

@@shrektheogrelord6435 cool you’re pushing out word salad that has nothing to do with now or in the near future when it comes to products announced or coming out. Especially meta which is the biggest current stand alone hesdset when it comes to VRchat.
I got bullied because I had a stand alone quest 2 and people kept on bullying me until I got a pc a link cable funny enough I ran into those two people who bullied me for it they then said that there pc was £3000 when my one was only 1000 then they tried to crash it but they crashed themselves and I was fine rolling on the floor laughing they then reconnected and said how so I asked them how old was there pc 5 years old and fan cooled my one is 5 months old 😂😂
I currently use a Quest, and am friends with an ex-quest crasher. I have never been discriminated against for this, but know it exists.

@@laurelalloro I’d say it’s worth it to me. But I still recommend getting a proper Vr ready computer because the quest can have frame drops. Well on the Quest 3 I don’t know the performance because I still have the quest 2

@@Bellaistic I’ve played vrchat for 3 years now trust me most people think the vrchat community is absolute garbage but we keep playing cause we have an addiction.
Not really, I'm deeply involved in the VR underground rave circuit and it is def not horrible.
The only reason pc and quest users can agree on anything is because the quest users crash before they get to the agreement
I’ve got both but I like Quest better because I’m not tethered to anything.
