Apologies if I wasn't myself in this video. I'm still having incredible tooth pain and feel at my wits ends with it all. Secondly, in person this foundation looked beautiful however in 4K things didn't appear as beautiful. Especially the pores around my nose. In person it really did look lovely. What do you think?

I couldn’t justify spending that kind of money on a foundation unless it was guaranteed to turn me into a Goddess, clean the house for me, get my weekly food shop and have a meal on the table every evening.

Lol that's true! You can't go anywhere much these days due to covid so I don't even bother much about the fancy pancy stuff and especially spending $130... there's not many people out and about to show it off to anyways... sometimes half of your face is covered by wearing a face mask and that's even better you don't have to bother with makeup then lol
@@micky8034 If I'm honest it would expire given the current stay at home restrictions before I finished it. Pre pandemic I was a base half the week kinda of person now I've given up completely in the last 12 months of Zoom, mask wearing and sitting in my pajamas most days.

I would be really tempted if Wayne Goss brought out a foundation. Even if it was a bit pricey. Its a trust thing.
I would rather spend my money on skincare which you get looking flawless, then you don’t need 130,00 foundation... to me that is nuts!... thank you for the review!
That's what I started spending my money on starting about 5-6 years ago. I use less make-up because of it and my foundation is always super sheer, just to even out skin tone and not to cover up.

You are SO RIGHT! During the pandemic I have invested in skincare, and now I rarely wear foundation. Just a bit of concealer. I could never bring myself to spend that much on one foundation!

This is my favorite foundation. It doesn’t dry out my skin and B20 is a great color match for me.
I've been using this brand of foundation for many years. I'm 63 years old and to me, it's worth the cost.Very little amount is needed to even out my skin tone. Cle de Peau, unfortunately, has spoiled me for any other product. I use drugstore mascara, define my eyebrows, any old lipstick and some bronzer and it's plenty. Really loving Wayne Goss' excellent videos!

It does look nice, but 130 dollars nice? Not so sure. I'd expect it to be kissed onto my skin by angels as doves fly overhead and a choir sings.

I have this and I love it. I only buy Cle de Peau when Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman is having their beauty sale. The shade matching on this is absolutely perfect - better than any other foundations I’ve tried, and I have tried most. I am a light neutral and I have the O20- in the summer, I can do O30. I started using their radiant cream to powder foundation and fell in LOVE. When they came out with this liquid, I HAD to try... and no regrets. It makes me my dry, dehydrated mature skin FLAWLESS!
Do you use the mat or the radiant one? I have dry skin, it seems dehydrated lately, I don't know what else to do. I've seen that the radiant one is a bit better for dry skin, even though both versions are very similar.
@@maddieb2763 I use the radiant formula. If I’m really really dehydrated, I will apply some of the CDP radiant multi repair oil (which I will also bring up onto my scalp along my hairline because sometimes that gets dry too) on my face first and then apply the foundation. The oil is a dry oil and absorbs very quickly. I got a deluxe sample which lasted me a long time and then ended up getting a full bottle… here again, during a sale :)
@@chrislee6076 Thank very much for answering me. In fact, I didn't know this brand, and I want to buy the fundation, probably the radiant one. I use Lancome foundation, I feel my skin very dry after an hour or two after having applied it, specially under my eyes, it's terrible. I might buy this oil as well, to see if it works. @@maddieb2763 if you are needing an under eye concealer - I would try their radiant corrector for eyes. It a liquid that comes in a brush pen applicator. Lightweight and luminous. If you need more coverage, the spf concealer is good too- but I find unless you use a very light soft bounce with an applicator or finger, its not as moisturizing to the skin like the liquid pen. Im not a big stick/solid concealer person- I find it never settles well after awhile. The liquid pen does have a brightening effect- which I like.. some people I know dont. It’s an amazing brand- quality is definitely worth it if you can afford to splurge. If you like Lancome, you will love Cle de Peau. It’s similar but more elevated. Good Luck and Happy New Year!

And it is something that lasts for about 6 months (to me) so I will probably make a list and buy it all. I will let you know. I don't know if I will find them on the same website, I wish there was a shop here in Barcelona where I could go and buy it all. I clicked on Wayne's link, which took me to Cult beauty, but I don't think they have all the products. By the way, Wayne's link didn't work, I wish it did so he can have some profit, he very well deserved it. If you know a website where they ship to Spain, please let me know. I can’t imagine taking a chance and getting the wrong shade and being out $130.
You can always return it. It's not like you're stuck. Especially now that you can't color match in the store. High-end department stores that carry this and other high-end cosmetics always have a good return policy.

I have the feeling that the US is the only place in the world where you can buy anything and return it just because you want to. If I buy something and I regret it, there's no return I have to stuck with it.

It is a BEAUTIFUL foundation. And I love it❤ You're right it's pricey, but I don't mind spending the money on a product like this when I get amazing results. It's when I don't get those amazing results that really tick me off🤣😁 thanks for sharing, it does look amazing on you❤

I love my Cle de Peau The Foundation for autumn, winter, and spring, and Radiant Stick Foundation for summer. The price tag is definitely huge, but I can totally justify it for the gorgeous effect that they make on my skin. Seamless, slightly radiant, really invisible but perfecting finish. The best of what I tried yet!
Agree I have two shades now and blend the two in transition seasons. The Foundation just gets better as the day goes on. No touch up needed.
I broke down and got it, when 20% off. It is gorgeous and looks “real” and holds up so well. I am going to just enjoy the one bottle I got and let it go. Unless it’s gifted of course! 🤪 Thank you Wayne and feel better love. 🥰🙏
That's a good deal at 20 per cent off! That's my employee discount but I spend it on expensive perfume instead. Lol!

Agreed. I like light coverage and use less than 1 pump, use Wayne’s buffing technique and it’s beautiful.

When you are old, you are old... even with 130$ foundation....
Good products do make a difference they can have more pigment and better texture but they don’t always need to cost silly money.
I used Cle de peau for years. I started by buying the concealer (so amazing!), then later went into getting a foundation as well. It was a splurge I would justify by spending less on clothing during the year. Expensive as hell, but the quality is really outstanding. After about a decade with Cle de peau I started using Bobbi Brown serum foundation and that works well for me, too.
I bought this a while ago and it is a beautiful foundation. It is crazy expensive though but so gorgeous.
The blush color is perfect! The foundation does look especially nice. The price, though!

I recently started using Retin-A again, and it takes some time to get used to the way the skin around my eyes and mouth will draw the Retin-A right up and cause irritation and redness if I’m not paying attention.
Is that what you’re using?

I can justify anything Wayne lol...La Mer is $125 usd so this is about the same, foundation matters a lot in my opinion
I love Cle de Peau products! They always make you look flawless. The price point is steep but it’s so worth it.
The foundation looks fantastic on you. Clé de Peau has released their new radiant fluid foundation natural which is a stunning foundation as well and a new sponge too.
I’m buying it tomorrow. Splurge on the important stuff...skincare actives and foundation are important!

I bought some of Clé de Peau Beauté foundation after I watched a video of Martha Stewart using it. I use it to cover marks and scars from rosacea and to even out the redness that comes with having rosacea. I find a tiny, tiny, tiny, little dot of the foundation is plenty for my purposes--I'm a male and do not want to look made up. It lasts all day, I do set it with light layer of Bare Minerals foundation in my T-zone, which helps to absorb oil. I also discretely use a cotton pad throughout the day while I am at the office to blot up excess oil, and the foundation stays put even with the process of blotting. The foundation does not oxidize and does not turn orangey. The product is VERY expensive, but as I use such a small amount, one bottle will easily last one year. So, for my purposes, I think the foundation is worth the cost.
I took the plunge and this is easily my favourite foundation. Even when my skin is not at its best that day, I can count on it to make it look more alive, price tag is a shame though.
I am in no way able to purchase a $130 foundation. Even if it did make me look like a goddess. I imagine there are people that this would not seem they were forfeiting their ability to provide groceries for the family!

I think it looks gorgeous! My most expensive and fav foundation is the Chantecaille Future Skin gel foundation... $79 US. Cle de Peau has always intrigued me.. but not my wallet! Feel better Wayne!

I can make it a nice Christmas or birthday gift to myself but I can't justify wearing it only in my house for zoom meetings that are definitely not in 4k!! Maybe post-pandemic as long as I keep my job and savings but my default setting is beach bum.
Adore that foundation and will continue to use it even if I have to give up eaten. I find that cream blushers work better with this particular foundation XO
I’m staring straight down the barrel of the big 4-OH, so as much as I think $130 for foundation is absurd, I will try anything Wayne says is something worth while. So I did purchase this same foundation and I have to say, it really does give a flawless performance! It blended seamlessly and didn’t sit or sink into any of my fine lines. I’m not saying it’s not expensive, quite the opposite but it is a fabulous product!

Honestly, anyone who wants to try high end J-beauty foundation but doesn't want to spend this much of money, can choose Suqqu's foundation, cheaper than CDP but also has a wonderful result, I am extremely happy with all of Suqqu's products.

I like the resultant effect of buffing on the foundation but it’s a disaster when you’ve got sunscreen or any actives on underneath, creating so much flaking. For me anyway ☺️
Don't buff. Stipple and bounce with brush or sponge! or use a flat foundation brush and only do downward strokes! No buffing/rubbing/swiping if you have flaky skin.
I am yet to find a good sunscreen in the UK that doesn't pile or feel like I've got a layer of plaster in my face. Same thing with moisturiser.
@@JoMarieHartup I really like la Roche posay anthelios ultra light invisible fluid (I use SPF 50 but they also do an SPF 30)... I layer a lot of products on (serums, BB cream, makeup etc) and it does pretty well. It's not perfect but I've tried so so so many before this and it's the best I've found. You can get it at boots and it's often on sale!

Yep sunscreen is always difficult to put foundation on top I would rather use spf and not wear foundation I have given up using foundation I just use concealer where needed

If you want to spend the money go for it. But honestly, this foundation didn't look any better or worse than other foundations you 've used. You can make any foundation look good. I'd spend that money on skin care, not foundation.

How does it last over time for a 68 year old with some wrinkles? Does it accentuate the wrinkles over time? If so, how do you correct this? I’m going to a wedding as grandma of the groom and would buy this for a wedding. I have small pores, I’m an aesthetician, so I keep my skin in a very clean and healthy state. I’d love your feedback!

I bought this foundation. Please know, I’m in the USA. We are allowed to return makeup. I purchased it from Nordstrom’s. They’ll take back anything. I think this Cle de Peau is absolutely beautiful. It just makes my skin look perfect. No one has ever asked what foundation I have on. But, what I hear is, “ you look great. What have you done? Because of the price I don’t use it on the regular. But, I’m already saving for when I run out. Until then, I’ll be waiting for a Wayne Goss foundation.
I thought it looked nice in 4K, and I love the finish. It looks more satin than matte to me. I will say that, in 4K, I've seen other foundations you've filmed in look as good. IRL is different---I mean, we don't see everyone in 4K (thank God).
I decided to shoot the lock off and purchase this. I am 53 though, with really good skin (which is about the only complaint I don't have at this point) but I would not spend this much money if I was in my 20s. I didn't need this from 20-50. I do regretfully LOVE it though. It does not settle in lines, it does not ever wear off. It stays looking amazing ALL damn day too. The fact that it is a "radiant" matte really does blur the imperfections. You also do not need much of it at all. I could use half a pump for my entire face. It's like La Mer, a teeny bit goes a long, long way.
I have been using a concealer as foundation per Wayne and it looks amazing. Not going back to foundation!

It it better to use a long wearing medium to full coverage foundation lightly, or a tinted moisturizer. Texture seems to only be apparent on my skin when I wear any sort of foundation.
Skincare and prep is key. Depending on the texture, exfoliants and anti-acne products help with bumps and hyaluronic acid and peptides fill out fine lines and wrinkles and retinol and collagen boosters help with sagging skin. I'm lazy so I have one serum that has everything but rentinols in it and the Exfloiants are in my cleansers. the application of the makeup always helps. I always wear cream primer, a radiance product and hydrating priming spray under any base that I apply. Let it since in for 15 minutes while you eat breakfast and then apply the base. Also applying a sheer layer with a damp beauty sponge and then going in and stippling where you need a bit more coverage.

But I'm lucky they love my accent haha, I hope your happy in Wales 🏴💙 My combo skin has got dry and I'm sure my radiators and not enough being outdoors is to blame due to lockdown. As for expensive foundations or bloody cheapie ones, we'll its all in the prep, app and technique. Have a Blessed Weekend 💙🙏
That foundation beats TF and La Mer 1000%, even for dry skin! I also love the radiant one, that comes in a plastic bottle but same price!
If I ever need to spend money unnecessarily I will try it. Lol! My other problem is I need to compare samples in daylight for my golden undertone and the pandemic ruined that in the UK.

I'm good, I'll stick to my drugstore alternatives because there's no need to break the bank on base product. Maybe eyeshadows and such, but for something you're going to use everyday it makes no sense. 😓

I’m on the other spectrum !! Yes we use it everyday BUT the ingredients and the fact that foundation literally sinks into your skin is why I prefer to apply a dang good base product ,) or products !! It’s our face that breaks out and clogs pores so yup this is why I prefer good products on my skin more than eyeshadows
Plus it takes such a little amount, with top shelf products it doesn’t take much even when I wore it everyday it lasted me well over a year

Does it settle into lines and wrinkles where it makes them look worse? From where I’m watching, it’s stunning and I want it. For something i use everyday, the cost per use isn’t so bad, imo. I just need to know it’s going to be perfectly LoVely 😊

I LOVE Japan cosmetic products... But sometimes they are a bit expensive.
A good alternative is SUQQU foundation.
And if you cannot find it in tour country Phyto eclat of Sisleya. Or liquid foundation of Face Atelier.

Been sitting on my vanity since purchased .( I’m not a fan but maybe I should keep trying !! I hated the La Mer fluid foundation but tried it with a pore filling primer and really loved it.... hmm I really hate to waste that kind of money, I need to keep trying with the Cle De peau

Hope u feel better. Tooth pain is awful. I love that foundation. The finishing powder is great too. 130 is worth it to me, I refrigerate it so it won't go bad. Right next to my can of beans cuz that's all I can afford after buying the makeup lol
It's pretty but there are at least a dozen others that look just as good that are a 1/3 of this price. I did use this famous concealer for many years - I think it used to be about $45 but you needed very little & it lasted over a year so that's really not a bad deal considering many popular concealers are now in the $25 -$30 range but only last a few months.
