I have been using the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro for close to six years and lemme tell you, this is one of the most reliables phones i ever used.
Took me from MIUI 9 to MIUI 11
And the Performance and battery only took a hit this year. I am looking for a new phone but nothing will top this beauty.

The second camera (the top one) is actually working, I've tested it by myself, it helps in portrait mode. When I cover it, the blur effect is not stable
we know but its basically useless
if a phone has two cameras that offer the same thing, its basically got a one camera. its possible to do the blur effect using a single camera, so depth sensing cameras are basically just glorified decorations, as zacks likes to say
Exactly, it is just unstable, that's all. It will work mostly fine, 90% of the time. Selfie Camera does Bokeh too, lol

I love Xiaomi. I love how they recognize how ridiculous phone prices are, and a majority of their focus is giving you as much as physically possible for as little as they can go. I think this is a beautiful phone for a budget, and glad it's survived the test. The micro is a bit of a frustration, but hey, worth saving a fat stack of cash.
Dingleberry Tech I will happily never buy a Chinese budget (or expensive for that matter) phone because they purposely try to blatantly copy and ripoff the iPhone, both in hardware and software. Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi and Oppo need to get their own original ideas. This is why I will never buy a Chinese phone.

Lmao they finally improved the body. The Redmi Note 4 was the same as the Note 3. Been using it for almost a year, and the amount of beating it's had has made its internal almost able to pop out of the metal shell. Good job.

You've done the bend test but drop test is missing.... plz do drop test in your every video.....bcoz phone dropping is most common problem of all time..
He's said he generally doesn't do drop tests because they aren't very reliably repeatable. So its hard to judge a phones durability from it. A fragile phone may land at just the right spot that makes it come out fine, and a relatively durable phone may still land in a way that makes the screen shatter. It's just not something that you can account for without testing large volumes of each phone, which isn't practical. And seeing as the durability testing here is meant to be fairly consistent phone to phone, drop testing isn't done, because it can't be consistant.

when I got my Redmi 5 Plus out of the box, the setup was half done by the carrier (so I hard reset it) but before that, I started the camera, front facing one was on, so I saw myself recognised as a 45 year old male (I'm 22), then it tried to burn my eyes out with the flash. I didn't know it had one
