IT'S EXTRA MAGIC FINGERS TIME!!!! ヽ(｡･ω･｡)ﾉ
It took me some time to finish the arrangement, because I was having a cold last week and stayed in the bed the whole time (I blame the cold weather in northern Germany)
Anyway, Extra Magic Hour is my first piano cover of the fall anime season 2014!
Amagi Brilliant Park is one of my favorite anime series of this season, because I LOVE SENTO ISUZU, SHE IS SO PERFECT, SERIOUSLY.
Now, with that said, I am also glad that Kyoani find its way again and decided to make more delicious fanservice anime series instead of... uhm, gay swimming. (I still watched Free! though and I thought it was quite okay)
This arrangement has one of the fastest tempo I ever used (180 bpm), and it also features one of the fastest arpeggios I ever attempted in 4:20.
Also, I added a quotation from a popular classical music concerto in 3:16, since they both share the same key signature. Bonus points if you can recognize the original piece!
Oh, and regarding that "project A" sign at the beginning:
I made this especially for a collaboration project on bilibili.tv (Chinese video platform, I am also maintaining a channel there). It's short for "Project Animenz", that's all.

I have watched a lot of your covers but I have to say... This is probably one of my favourite ones along with 'Hikaru Nara' and 'This game'! And it just so happened that those Anime came out in the same year 2014! I loved this Anime; it was overshadowed by other works and somehow just got under people's heads. The OP was the thing that always stuck in my mind especially that "OWARANAI MAGIC HOUR!" and this certainly gives it the justice it deserved! This arrangement is very musically ornate and just grabs that concept of 'magic' into the piece. I also love that introduction to Beethoven's "Emperor" Concerto, No. 5 Op. 73 and that transition to the last chorus into the ending. That Ending is so mind-blowing. I cannot imagine how your hands can do that and how much it must hurt! I don't even think I can do the same... but i will try to learn this piece someday...
yeah 2010-2015 were absolutely stacked with classics.

Well on his "We Are" video he stated that this was his 6th hardest piece (when I first saw this I was so surprised to not see this on his FB list). Its not left hand leaps that are challenging in this piece but his insane tempo and arpeggios
Madlife Senpai In Unravel you have to play all the notes in the arpeggio before the first note goes up (this is for the ones after the tremolos)
Well Unravel is #1 for a reason but I'm pretty sure this piece is good enough to create his own "flashbacks" lol

no, I asked sebastian (the founder of sheethost) to include a "insane" difficulty for my sheets.
It's definitely not the hardest, but one of the top 10 most difficult pieces, mainly because of the insane speed bpm=180

You mentioned you're using a pair of Neumann KM184 Stero set to record this piece. Does that mean you use binaural recording?
no, just regular stero, I don't have a dummy head to make authentic binaural recordings.

ich spiele klavier schon seit ich 6 Jahre alt war und bin jetzt 23. Ich hab gelernt Klavier zu spielen, weil es ein tolles Instrument ist wo einem alle möglichkeiten offen stehen (die umfassendste Musiklitteratur ist die Klaviermusikliteratur), und auserdem macht es extrem viel spaß! :)

If you look closely the keys them self occasionally move to the left...why is that?
it's the una corda (or soft-)pedal, the piano keyes shift a little bit to the left, so the sound will be a bit quieter
It's one of the pedals on grand pianos, it shifts the keys and allows for a "soft" tone to be played.
