    I have a Tidewe and I love it. See through walls just fine. Maybe mine is newer and different hole set up. Its probably harder to see in too. Put my propane heater in it and you can not see it from outside looking at the blind.

      Thats great! I am looking forward to using it this fall/winter, the higher windows really helps with my blind chair compared to the primos 👍

      But can the wind blow thru the mesh or is it clear plastic than the screen look over it

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  3 месяца назад +2

      @johnbart8454 it is a perforated material, no clear plastic layers. A bit of wind will come in but not much at all. I've hunted in both blinds and they both kept me well protected even in December. 🤙

    • @nowayhunting
      @nowayhunting 3 месяца назад

      @@johnbart8454 I have set in it with some wind before, but not hard enough for it to blow through the walls, yet anyways. Not sure how hard it would have to blow for that to happen. it will come through an open window so keep them closed on windy days til time to shoot.

    Great review and great explanation of what you see versus what the camera sees. I just bought another brand on Amazon. I looked at the Primos but decided to get something less $, but I certainly won’t buy the Tidewe! From the way you explain it, I need to focus on what’s coming and not be distracted. That side by side was the selling point for me! I know what to look for now. That’s what a good review is supposed to do. Thanks!

    With all of the holes in the mesh I assume it will not block the wind like with the blinds with solid walls and closable windows

      I havent noticed in the tidewe but i know the wind isnt really noticeable in the surroundview compared to my old herter full wall (regular style) blind. There is a good video that primos put out a while back where they do a wind test. Check it out, and thanks for watching!

    It appears also that the double bull allows more transparency from the outside looking in especially when backlit by lighter backgrounds and could spook game easier with movement

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  7 месяцев назад

      There is a solid black wall that prevents it from being backlit. The wall is also able to be used on any side of the blind so if you prefer a particular window you can set up the wall behind you from any side you like 👍 thanks for watching!

    i have the double bowl blind and I was just curious about the tidewid blind. be ouse i want something to take kids in and easy to set up. looks that the tidewid would be the way to go. but i am really having second thoughts about it now after watching your video because i am buy the technology of view of the sea 270° and I wanna be able to see 270° if I’m buying that and according to your video I feel like you’re not really gonna be able to see that 270° specially when it gets low light in the evening times when you can shoot that big buck. so after your video unfortunately I might have to go ahead and just get a another 360 blind, but they are so heavy

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  Год назад

      It is a big difference in visibility, in my view! Some said they didn't have an issue focusing through the tidewe walls. Maybe split the difference and go with the double bull 270 instead of the 360? Smaller and lighter and cheaper than the 360 and still gives you 3 walls to see out of?

  • @iokepa65
    @iokepa65 8 месяцев назад

    Okay, don't like the windows on the high dollar one. I like the split, slide up and down windows. And is there another door that isn't zippered. Maybe magnetic?

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  8 месяцев назад

      I believe the updated one from Tidewe is a zipper door but once you unzip it, you can keep it closed with bungee hooks so it is quiet for when you need it to be!

    I have some family that has been usi g this the past 3 years. He has yet to get a kill out of it because he gets spotted. He is convinced that whitetail can see shadows through the mesh. Thoughts???

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  6 месяцев назад

      Is he wearing black while in the blind? If he is wearing black, and sitting with his back to the blackout wall, i cant see how they would be seeing him inside. Or is he saying he is being spotted from the sides where he doesn't have the windows open to shoot from? Does he have any of the side windows open that may lead to him being silhouetted from the other side?

    • @nateitscake88
      @nateitscake88 6 месяцев назад

      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel He is wearing camo and all other windows closed under a tree but the tree does not provide a lor of shade. Do you recommend wearing black clothing so you blend in with the blackout wall?

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  6 месяцев назад

      Yes I usually try to wear black as much as possible (black hoodie over my jacket and black gloves and facemask) so that from the front open window there is much less chance of being spotted against the black backdrop. And sit as far back from the open window as is possible. But since he is whitetail hunting he may also be getting busted from smell. Which is making the deer focus more of their attention on the blind than they normally would be maybe?

    Oh yeah, the high dollar mesh is better. But the windows suck. And i don't mind a bit so good mesh as I've hunted out of the originals with no mesh walls whereupon i learned that ain't so bad if i have the sole the windows. So some visibility out 3 walls is better than a little through a window. How do they block the cold and wind?

      @jasonuhl , Why would you?
      It's just another type of weapon for hunting...
      Don't forget, when compounds first came on the market, they were dissed by some trad weapon hunters for reducing the human challenge with technology.
      Crossbows are very similar to compounds in that they both use cables and pulleys, magnified sights, reduction in holding pressure at full draw, and a trigger release.
      Both require way less practice than a trad bow to reduce human error; by design and manufacturing.
      IMHO, let hunting be a weapon of choice, not of popularity or social pressure.

    Is the Primos $300 better would be my question? I mean, you're paying almost 25% of the Primos for the Tidewe. And I'm legit asking because I need to buy one and I've narrowed it down to these two and a coss mars.

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  Год назад

      I would go with the Tidewe to start and see how it lasts. The Primos is built like a tank, the fabric is super high quality and they have a lifetime warranty (i have not tried the warranty so it may be a pain to deal with so who knows what it is worth). I bought the Tidewe as a decent blind i can leave out in the elements and not worry about it fading/ripping/possibly stolen. So if you don't plan on leaving it out for weeks at a time then I'm sure the Tidewe will last enough so that the savings will be there even if you replace it every few years (if they are 1/4 of the price of the Primos). Hope that helps, best of luck out there man! 🤙

      I can see why you would think that but I haven't used the primos in a couple seasons. Which meant I was rusty on the setup. These style blinds have a certain order to them to set up and take down. Because i started this vid with the Primos, i had to remember how to set it up as i went along. Once I got it, it made setting up the Tidewe much easier. I hope that makes sense. 👍

      The price of the Tidewe on their site today is showing regular 260 marked down 50% sale to 130. The Primos site is showing 500 marked down to 450. So when not on sale, it is only 240$ more for the Primos. (US dollars) But, I see your point, it is a big jump in cost. Long term quality and Primos lifetime warranty might mean a lot down the road to make up the cost difference? Time will tell! Thanks for watching!

    I am not sure the Primos is worth the extra money You can get a double Tidewe 3 in 1 and actually be able to do more with it than the Primos. Like a double sized blind by attaching the two together or two separate blinds. There is also an option of putting together a wall to hunt behind with the other two removable walls. Cameras and eyes always see better through screens farther back. The mesh is different, but you can see in the finer mesh more than the other like mentioned in an earlier comment. Sometimes the more expensive name brands are better constructed and perhaps can hold up better through father time. But honestly, I have seen in portable fabric blinds they often do not have any more life span. I think if someone has more money and a problem buying cheaper things spend the money for the name brand. Personally, I am thinking about purchasing the Tideway 3 in 1. The 3 options are a plus and you can probably get a 3 in 1 for what it cost for the Primos. It gives you not one blind but two that you can make a double blind out of. I personally keep the blinds open to shoot out of the window I think I am going to get my shot from. One does not need to have super clear vision through a see-through wall. The better you can see out the better they can see in. I do not like blacked out windows like the Primos had. You can more easily see movement of opening that window than a mesh window. that is camo. Movement is what the deer look for and it doesn't take all that much to spook them.

    • @nota_verygood_huntingchannel
      @nota_verygood_huntingchannel  Год назад

      I found the mesh of the primos much better to see out of, while it still conceals you inside just as well. Especially if you are sitting away from the front. Time will tell on the material durability, as well as if the lifetime warranty is worth the extra money! But that 3in 1 does look like a great deal for sure 🤙
