Great memories of this dynamic duo when it was shown on the Belgian television, of course dubbed in French... "Les rues de San Francisco".... It wasn't just great publicity for Ford and for the Pierre Hotel, the San Francisco tourism sector etc. but also for the SFPD. However, my guess is that many young plain clothes policemen quickly discovered that Hollywood glitz and Big City Realisties are "not exactly" the same. Malden's acting was so intense, the honest cop always wearing the same clothes, always friendly when he needed to but tough as nails when required. Young Douglas did a good job too and must have been very popular with the ladies. He didn't age very well however, not like his dad. But he also has some great performances under his belt after Streets of San Francisco of course.
People may not remember. But San Francisco has always had massive crime problems. Not just in 2020s. Only time San Francisco was a pristine city was 1800s. From the 1900s , 1930s , 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s to present it is just a massive s- hole of gangs, cartels, drugs, crime, death, dirty streets.
Awesome Classic ❤
❤ stone his acting and personality is just authentic 😅
The best show ever 11/30/24
Great old school shows
"Top of the Mark"...a great memory !
Yes. The Mark Hopkins. The first shot at the entrance was actually in the ballroom of the Palace Hotel on New Montgomery.

Actually, you're incorrect. San Francisco is quite safe and is an international city filled with diversity and robot cars.
